  1. 7-3 good gals. They must have been playing with them.
  2. In that case -- it's all tied up.
  3. I cannot wait an extra month -- damn it!
  4. Play by play available here: http://www.nbcolympics.com/results/5106870/detail.html
  5. The woman player with the puck may run defenders over. Does that make up for any of the above? I didn't think so.
  6. So the bottomline of this thread is that the Bills are the eighth worst team as of this moment largely because they have drafted very poorly for a good deal of time. Right?
  7. OK...so are we not allowed to post scores? 'Cause someone just scored a gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal!
  8. Uh, I mean pay cut.
  9. Is Chad going to get cut loose if he refuses the raise? Shall we see the Jests making a trade for Bledsoe?
  10. I'd like to know if he was offered any position coaching jobs. Is he quitting because no one wants him as their head coach? Because no one wants him as their defensive coordinator? Is he only willing to work for coordiator money?
  11. My bad, you're right about Fina. But he was still a Bill for about 10 years. He was pretty good in his prime.
  12. The two o-linemen on the list did play a few games in Hawaii. Marv had plenty of good to great lineman when he was coach. Wasn't his first move as coach to bring in Joe Cribbs?
  13. Why not tag Nate and keep him for the season on the franchise pay? It is a reasonable number for sure. He had an off year -- at best -- so let him play another "contract year," and hope he has a breakout season, thus raising his value. Yes, he would cost even more in '07, but he would also fetch that more in a trade. Nate will be in a Bills' uniform next season or we're getting two first-rounders, which I would welcome.
  14. Pretty damn good lineup. Only disappointments I pick out of there are J.D. Williams and Thomas Smith. Harmon almost made my list, but I am sure he would have a been a longtime Bill is it wasn't for that one drop.
  15. Does this mean AVP will be working out of a closet a la Mularkey in Tampa?
  16. "The best offense is a great defense," Marv Levy said. Amen. Marv's d-line back "in the day" was who? (in no particular order) Bruce, Hansen, Seals, Smerlas, Lodish, Washington, Wright... who else? The d-line was always good to great. I can understand why he has that mindset.
  17. Turk Schonert, the Bills' new QB coach, is best known for working in the West Coast offensive system. I do believe he learned under Bill Walsh. I was kind of hoping for a double tight-end, power-back type of system.
  18. That is some great stuff. So glad to see Marv is reading TBD -- how else would he know the o-line needs work, the QB job should be fought for, and Pat Williams' depature needs to be addressed?
  19. "We would like to have him back and I know Dick Jauron has expressed the same," Levy said. "I think he's a talented player who can get better." He better... The deadline for the Bills to designate a franchise or transition player is 4 p.m. ET on Feb. 23.
  20. Considering what is doable in free agency, I agree that Vernon Davis is the best bet. Plus, Veron would sell tickets -- something I think the Bills just might have trouble doing this year.
  21. I guess the real answer here is, "It is too early to tell. Free agency has not even started, and the combine has yet to be held."
  22. I think the Bills will have about four guys nailed down as sure picks. If these guys aren't there, then they should take their full time to trade out of the #8 spot. This is assuming Reggie Bush and A.J. Hawk are gone, and that the Bills resigned or taggeed Nate. 1. Mario Williams 2. Brick 3. Ngata 4. Vernon Davis
  23. OK, so my memory failed me -- again. Thanks. I agree that our punter isn't going to recruit anyone, which was exactly my point. Are the Bills at a disadvatage by sending only two guys -- both special teamers, when rivals such as the stinkin' fish had a guys on both sides of the ball?
  24. Zoomed on an old house of mine in Farmington. It was between 1997 and Oct. 1999.
