  1. I'm going to Vegas this week and would like to know some reasonably priced  places to eat.  Good deals are welcome also.  Thanks

And Pete, I will be checking out the Alladin, looking for that girl who can jump thought a Basketball hoop.

One of the best (and cheapest) places for solid, American food -

No buffet though - who needs it ?

  2. Just looking for a couple games that I can lay a few on and watch for fun, that will be possible upsets. I like the underdogs. Any games this friday you guys like?

If I was smart, of course, I would just bet the other way.  ;)

If you want some hometown action - I see the Purple Eagles as a 12-point dog. That spread is almost interesting enough to take - to cover.

    Don't bet the mortgage

  3. Anyone remember the Black gentleman with the huge fu manchu mustache that sold peanuts at the main gate on Best St. ? He even moved to Rich stadium for the 1970's. He was ALWAYS there and selling those peanuts wrapped in a square brown bag. 2 for 25 cents. Then 2 for 50 cents. Finally, 2 for $1. He always had a little poem or ode while barking out peanuts for sale. Quite funny and enormously popular. I used to know his name but time has robbed me of that detail.

Man. I can hear him like it was yesterday.

Same fellow who used to be in front of the Aud ?

  4. Altho this is pretty close to the cutoff (pre 1987?), I remember Jim Kelly's first home game as a starter against the Jets,1986.  There was a sense of anticipation in the stadium that I"ve never felt before or since.  I'd have someone else check this, but I seem to remember him running a TD in.  The Bills lost, but I think the magic of Kelly overtook the disappointment of the loss.

  5. Being only 23 years old, I'd like to hear more about the Bills teams of the past that I - and many others here - never experienced.

Back in '74 or '75 when the Bills were losing all those games to the Dolphins - the Bills were in Miami and -

JIm Braxton had a full head of steam going downhill - when the diminutive Miami safety, Jake Scott attempted a head on tackle. Those tread marks probably never came out of Jake's uniform but it was a highlight in a long losing streak

  6. "No offense, but Netflix has made Blockbuster it's little B word......Netflix is one of the greatest things since sliced bread, and I have had zippo need to set foot in a Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, etc. in two years. They've taken a HUGE chunk of your business, and anyone who loves movies (and convenience) will eventually find their way to this service."

I've had bad experiences with BB on both coasts (including the NF Blvd.) store and one here in CA. and will NEVER - EVER do business with them again.

And that was after Wayne H owned them

The stupid late fees were their downfall - they pissed off so many people - forever

    Netflix is an absolute :):lol::o:D:D:D

  7. The Ever Elusive Solution

Niagara Falls Airport` - for the 1,000th time

"A Madrid-based Spanish company, Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, was poised to sign an agreement with the NFTA four years ago that would have given it control of the airport for 99 years. But the plan was shot down by local government and business interests, who said it was a sell-off of one of the county's most valuable assets"

That valuable "asset" is still empty

  8. Does anyone know the lyrics to this song? I'm not talking about the Shout song, I mean th Bills victory song. The one that WGR has the tape of Marv Levy singing from like the early 90s. Does anyone have a recording of this song?

  9. I defy anyone to finish an entire game upright.

At no risk of dating myself - we used to play a similar game with "reruns" of the original version of the "Untouchables"

Everyone playing had to put a number (and a $1) in the pot representing how many times Robert Stack would fire his gun that night. This could anywhere from zero to automatic weapons fire -

The "pot" paid for the Bocce's pizza and a 12-(24) pack of Screamers - winner got the leftovers (if any)

A dollar went a lot further back then ;)

Some pizzas were known to leave the 4th story window - gravity sucks

  10. I'm a Trilobite. Wow. No more on-line tests for me.

Joking aside, I grew up in the Townline area. Off Townline Road was a bridge over Chautaqua (SP?) Creek. About a mile back was an absolutely awsome stone to chip fossils out of. Everything was shale and there was this one limestone boulder. Lots of corals and big shells.

Too bad that kids find that stuff "BORING" these days. When I was 10-11, it was a serious expedition.

Available In Hamburg, NY toady - or at least until the "red" budget kills everything

  11. I'm giving it until July.  If things don't improve I'll be pulling out the "Don't blame me, I voted for the other guy" bumper sticker.  Until then I'm trying not to worry about politics. Like an airline passenger flying through a storm, I couldn't change flights, so it's in the pilot's hands now.

There is a TSA employee waiting to "touch" you in a very special way <_<
