All I care about are wins and losses. -

What type of issues? If they have a losing season there is a real possibility it all blows up and there’s a rebuild around Josh. We could see 6-7 new starters on defense and offense in 2024. In fact it does set up for major changes after next season. -

In terms of Pegula he’s always said he looks at how Kraft built the Patriots. We all know Belichick ran the show there and basically hired his front office people. 2 of the Bills top front office guys Beane and Brian Gaine were names McDermott gave the Pegulas. It’s my opinion that everything the Bills do runs through McDermott but the quote I gave you was from Vic Carucci who was very tied in at the time. Not saying I like or dislike anyone. Like when 13 seconds happened and everyone was blaming Frazier. I blamed McDermott because there was no way he’d allow a situation that important happen without his input. -
What’s crazy is I think this roster is the best roster the Bills have had since McDermott and Beane have been together.

He use to love us, now he hates us. Oh well.

That’s when they hired Beane. If you read slowly it’ll make more sense. When Beane was hired McDermott was the top dog. Everything went through him. Beane was in charge of putting together the 53 but McDermott still had the final say. Beane got more control as time went on. Beane says it in an interview. He said McDermott started trusting him and his team more and more. -

What are you talking about? McDermott has final say over everything Bills related. What do you think Pegula actually does? What exactly am I making up? Best I can find. -

Beane said it. Obviously now Beane likely has final say over the roster but I would bet their first contracts McDermott had final say. -

I’m sorry, I don’t call for coaches that win their division and win playoff games every season to be fired. -

Yes. Hyde that Int vs ne. And? How about vs KC? Anyone make a play? Any DL step up? -

Really? Why him? I honestly can’t think of a single defensive player that stands out in the playoffs for the Bills. -

We’ve had 8 playoff games with Josh Allen. Name me the best defensive player for the Bills in the playoffs during that time? This question is an easy answer for KC. They may even have a couple of choices. -

I want a Super Bowl also and I felt like the thing missing has been pass rushers that make plays in key moments. Not coaching. I know people always think I’m wrong when I say that but last year was our worst pass rushers in the playoffs and it showed. Give McDermott a full arsenal and we’ll see what happens. I was extremely disappointed Von Miller got hurt last year. McDermott did a lot more than you think. Beane has talked about how McDermott slowly gave Beane the keys and trusted him. McDermott is the boss. Beane is his right hand man. -

I criticize Sean plenty. I don’t need to diminish what he’s accomplished to be critical of him though. -

Probably because you think your opinion is facts. -

Can’t even debate with people like this. -

Who knows. Maybe the Bills play it differently with Tua playing. Bills did some strange things on defense that let the Dolphins WR get behind them. Not a typical thing for a Bills defense. Poyer had a terrible game. -

That game was weird because it should’ve been like 31-3 Buffalo in the 2nd quarter. I think outplayed also. Players didn’t play well. -

McDermott built this. He built the program. It’s his. For example let’s take Ken Dorsey. If he has 2-3 years of top 5 offenses but they fail in the playoffs I would say let’s move on. Dorsey didn’t build anything. He inherited a top 5 offense. See the difference? -

The conversation wasn’t about McDermott and Beane. In fact I didn’t mention them when talking about championships. I poked my head in this thread because of fans like you that have this unrealistic opinion that firing a winning coach somehow gets us closer to winning Super Bowl. It’s 100% fact that it’s going to be difficult for McDermott to win a championship in Buffalo at this point. It’s also going to be difficult for Josh Allen. After that rookie contract it gets tougher to win your first. -

Like I said I take the whole career. The 2 Super Bowls don’t tell the whole story, but it does make you think harder about his career. George Seifert is another one, but if you examine his career he was clearly riding the coattails of what Walsh built. -

It’s an achievement for sure. I still take the entire career over 1 championship when ranking all time greats. Nick Foles isn’t a great QB. Winning multiple championships is what makes you different. -

One thing I’ve always found interesting about defensive head coaches. They rarely call the defense while many offensive head coaches call the offense. It’ll be interesting to see how it goes. -

Why do you think McDermott is miles behind Payton as a football mind? Lol. The Bills defense was a bunch of guys as well. Why do we always diminish players and coaches for not winning a championship? It’s like you either win one or you’re trash. I don’t understand that. Obviously there’s another level but winning 1 championship doesn’t get you there in my eyes. -

Not exactly the same criteria. Manning was an aging QB on his 2nd team at the end of his career.
