  1. Yo Cincy...about your tagline. Say what you want about Kerry but he didn't have the same info as the President of the United States of America. So, to say that Kerry is twofaced is a direct result of the information given by the President and his advisors. Which fooled all of us Americans.
  2. John Shuerholz. Hands down.
  3. I doubt the Dbacks will let him get away. He's basically the franchise right now.
  4. I'm reading Stephen King's novel "The Dark Half" right now. Yesterday while reading the evil character was in disguise....part of this disguise was a Yanks hat. The good character was in disguise...part of his attire was a BoSox hat. Book was written in 1989. This win is obviously extremely deep for the BoSox faithful.
  5. takes him to the food court, to buy one of those giant pretzels, ya know aunt millies or whatever... Bum's son orders 108 pretzels.... ------------------- without salt. This really ticks off the counter staff causing...
  6. No doubt Mill.... Rays are an awesome young team. Upton, Kazmir, Baldelli, Huff, Crawford, Gaitwright.... O's gotta get some type of pitching and the Jays were so close in 2003 I thought they were going to make a push this year.
  7. Now that is scary considering Richie is a free agent this year.
  8. how is Mike Lowell going to replace Jason Giambi??? Mike Lowell is the second best THIRD baseman in the game. I doubt you are going to see him move to first OR DH.
  9. Lol...the guy hasn't had one healthy season since coming to NY. I think it would be foolish to base his performance on the fact he's had some unusual illness.
  10. A cake??? Holy crap.
  11. I thought it was bunch of crap. You just won....are you that high on yourself that you have to throw out "All empire must fall" I mean c'mon. I didn't see Joe Torre down there saying "Oh, they got lucky" Have some class. You are the management of a great franchise. But, then again, I can remember some comment Steinbrenner has made in the past.....
  12. Don't discount Giambi yet....they guy isn't done.
  13. I am rooting for old man Clemens tonight. But, I'm starting to feel like JoeSixPack...it seems whom ever I root against lately has been winning....
  14. LOL, USMC.....not that this post is directed at me but I'm rooting for the NL team all the way.
  15. Can't believe you are still talking about the payroll. Get over it already. You won....and you beat a team who spends more. It's not the first time it happened nor will it be the last.
  16. Congrats to the BoSox..... But, honestly, I feel worse for the Yanks fans b/c I know how you feel right now. Everyone is talking about pivotal points of this series on the drive in. But, I thought the momentum changer was in game 4 when the Yanks had one out, runners on third and second and Arod up in a 4-2 game. All he had to do was put the ball in play and a run would have scored. He struck out and the Yanks didn't end up scoring a run. This run would have basically clinched the series for the Yanks but the postseason rookie couldn't get it done. Also, I gotta say Sheff just flamed out when it was crunch time. I was wondering if it was going to happen. He did it for the last two years with the Bravos and seems to try to hit the ball 400 ft. when the team gets in a hole. As far as the pitching goes....they can say all they want that Mariano blew two games...but that game when it was first and third no one out was not his fault. It was on Gordon. Lastly, can someone explain to me how the curse has been lifted if the BoSox still are without a WS ring???? It seems that on the drive in that is all they were talking about.
  17. If they win it all, the 2004 Sox will be legendary, with Schilling leading the way. To the Sox fans: "Where would you rather be, than right here, right now." ------------------------- The 2004 Sox would be legendary???? That's like saying the 1997 Florida Marlins are legendary or the 2002 Anaheim Angels are legendary. On what grounds are they legendary The 1998 Yankees are legendary. Why exactly would a team that got in as a Wild Card favorite, almost blew the ALCS and wins the WS be legendary? The media will hype it as legendary...but truthfully folks are they any different than any other team that has won a WS??? I'm not trying to take anything away from you BoSox fans...but c'mon legendary???? Get over yourself.
  18. I guess you've got be controversial. I was gone for like 3 months during baseball season and came back and said "hi" to everyone and they were like "Who the hell are you?"
  19. I thought having a real job was sitting in front of the 'puter all day.... man, I was fooled
  20. what happened to Nick from Rachacha....During offseason he had those great posts where you would ask him anything.
  21. ........but I really wanted to play playstation....
  22. I don't work with any morons......uh oh, I think that means....
  23. B game? bwahahahaha. Both of the NL teams are much better than the AL teams.
  24. I tend to agree with you collegeboy. I wouldn't mind seeing the Bosox lose simply b/c they already have the Pats. Plus I know 10 years of SB victories still wouldn't equal one WS victory for them.
  25. 75% of America is rooting for the Sox? Hardly. It's more like 50/50. They are not underdogs.
