I seem to recall the previous attempt at heated seats did not end up so well

In 1999 crews completed a seven-month stadium overhaul that included constructing 76 brand-new dugout suites and two new enclosed club sections each containing 500 seats. Fans in the dugout suites watch the action just 40 rows from the field. In addition, the Bills replaced 6,800 seats in the sideline club sections with revolutionary contoured heated seats, the first of their kind in North America.

After a couple of seasons - the system faltered due to global warming (Ooops - I meant weather)

I'm fine with fry lamps overhead.

    where theres smoke theres fire??

maybe the pegulas initial thought to raise capital was to sell 100% of everything but the bills. then after a few feelers, realized what you are saying was true. word of that leaked fast. but pegula doesnt want to hurt wny so he switched to the 25% bills.

Naw, I think the other story is 100% bull poop. But the Rochester Knighthawks are for sale and will likely move.

Doing that doesn't automatically mean he has money problems.  His wife is not well and his daughters tennis career is in full swing so maybe he wants to start easing into retirement.

Personally I wish he would sell the Sabres outright.

Selling the Sabres means the team moves. No one will pay what the Sabres are worth to keep the team here. Not when Houston and Atlanta want teams.

The dude hasn't missed through 3 games, including two 60+ yarders and a game winner. He credits it all to hard work. Certainly won't be expensive.

Watch him and the Michigan Panthers at 4pm Saturday on FOX.

    Get 'er done, Beane!

What? The team has had a grand total of TWO owners in 65 years and the first Owner is dead! It’s hardly been a revolving door.

I don't mean that. I mean having people hate you if the team is bad.

The sabres haven't won in what, 15 years? I think criticism of ownership is warranted in that circumstance.

    I rest my case

    Exactly.  Politician.

Not sure why you’re confirming my criticism then rushing to defend him.

It’s ok we can be appreciative of him and offer criticisms at the same time.

I'm just amazed how someone could do absolutely nothing and still be painted with evil intentions.

It is bonkers. I totally agree.

Also, if he can find a buyer committed to keeping the Sabres in Buffalo for eternity he should 100% do that. They are valued at $900M and he is the worst owner the league has ever seen.

Or maybe this is the best route? That means somebody else could be in the room with Terry and he can help save this franchise from the ol' Ter-Bear when it comes time to eventually replace Beane/Allen. The Sabres also act as a distraction for Terry. I imagine Brandon Beane waving the Sabres around like an imaginary ball for a dog to get Terry out of the room.

Why on earth would anyone want to own a team in this town? Every time your team loses, people blame you and demand you sell the team.

I think a lot of how he handles the team and how he’s publicly portrayed and the public portrayals of the team are similar to a politician that wants to maintain narrative control.

To some extent that’s ok I just think he’s way too far - to the point he’d rather avoid even talking to the public.

The man never says anything. People complain because he never talks to the press. I still don't get what you're seeing.

I honestly think this new stadium is going to be a disaster. The Buffalo market cannot support it, very simply there are not enough people who are able or willing to spend a **** ton of money to sit outside in garbage weather. I bet they are going to sell significantly less in PSLs than anticipated.

From what I'm reading in the PSL thread, they are not having any trouble selling them.

This is correct. As I mentioned above, if the Pegulas did ever sell the team to a buyer at the team value of $5B, it would only cost that buyer 16% more to move the team.

Some people would simply see that as a cost of doing business.

But moving is not a concern right now. This minority sale of the team is simply due to PSL's not selling as they hoped.

This is what I've been saying. Anyone wanting to take the Bills elsewhere would look at that penalty as a minor inconvenience.

If you believe the rumors, they have been trying to sell the Sabres for about 9 months now.

12oz sports. Is that like ESPN? They have a website so you know it's legit.

There's some more detail from Murray quoted here, though he doesn't name the target areas

It's medicine that hasn't been fully tested. There's also a lot of quacks offering what is called stem cell therapy. Beware.

Before I had my knee implants installed, I looked into stem cell therapy. One of the leading locations is at Ohio State University Spinal center in Columbus. Treatments are considered experimental so it's not covered by most insurance.

I haven't seen this reported by any Buffalo news source, nor in this thread.

It is rumored Ryan Smith, owner of the Utah Jazz who just got the NHL to sell him the Arizona Coyotes, funded the groups opposing a new Coyotes arena in Tempe. So always ask who is behind actions like these.
