  1. That was before they were all in the same union. And share the same agents. And working out together in the offseason (as opposed to finding "real" jobs to support their families). I have this conversation with my dad all the time. It's a different game and a different time now my friend.
  2. Talley held Jefferies in overtime. And to think that I used to believe that the Bills won their 4 AFC titles without the benefit of a single break or missed call. LOL.
  3. Great post. I don't know that the issue is hating the Pats. I could care less if you hate the Pats (though I certainly don't hate the Bills and never have). The issue is hating the Pats and then posting ridiculous garbage to justify that hate. This is a great board, lots of smart football fans here. But they sometimes get drowned out by the "Brady is a fag, the refs love the Pats, the Pats O-Line is always holding, it's all a big NFL conspiracy" garbage that some folks seem to revert to in an effort to rationalize the fact that the Pats are the best franchise in all of pro sports right now. Nice to see that there is a crew of folks on here that can root passionately for their team without succumbing to the depths of the more misanthropic folks on this board.
  4. Wow - with all the tumult in the last 9 months, I knew I could come back here and it would be like nothing has changed. Death, taxes and complaining about how the Pats got lucky, paid off the refs, cheated, etc... This has been very refreshing. Good luck this year - as a Tulane grad, I want nothing but success for JP Losman.
  5. Like Hussein's Statue in Baghdad, Drew is Toppled. Long live J.P.!!!
  6. Ron Borges is the #1 Bledsoe Ball Washer in the New England Media. He's more partial to Bledsoe than Mac Bledsoe is. It's over.
  7. Great post. The ESPN Sunday Night Crew is the worst group of announcers in any sport I watch.
  8. McGahee's plight is the same as Jamal Lewis' - the opposition is playing 7, 8, 9 men in the box and daring the Bills/Ravens to beat them through the air. You may really have something with McGahee when the QB situation gets straightened out.
  9. The Jets are D-U-N done - 2nd place is there for the taking, Buffalo.
  10. If I had to make odds on what former NFL kicker would go nuts and start acting erratically, I wouldn't have listed Cole Ford. Weird.
  11. I've lurked on this board for a little while now - last time I posted I believe was in that great Anti-Pats Haiku thread before the Super Bowl. I enjoy the discussions here and appreciate the passion of the folks who are regular posters. Like many of you, I'm anxiously awaiting the start of the Losman era since I'm a Tulane grad, and I'll be pulling for JP to do well. So this morning, I'm thinking there's going to be some interesting give and take with some Bills fans and professional antagonist Foxboro Mike, but he's nowhere to be found. Did he get banned? Has he moved on to a Dolphins board (I would hope not, how much of challenge would that be to get those guys riled up?) One last point - in all seriousness, while times are tough for the Bills franchise right now, look to the Patriots for inspiration. Next Sunday, they're going to break the NFL record for most consecutive wins. To describe the Patriots of my childhood as "moribund" would be a tremendous understatement. Pats fans are enjoying a turnaround that is nothing short of miraculous, being mentioned among the greatest teams of all time. I have to remind myself that they're talking about the Pats sometimes, the same Pats that barely more than a decade ago, I watched go 1-15 and the city of Boston yawned as they contemplated a move to CT. The same Pats that the local media virtually encouraged to go to CT because they were an embarassment to the other 3 teams in town. If the Pats can go on a tear like this just over a decade later, you've got to think virtually anything is possible. Keep the faith, the seeds for your turnaround are very likely on the roster already.
