So Chokee Fans you finally get...
Thurman's Helmet replied to wwovince's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets take away the wild card in football too then. Only division winners deserve respect right? Then bow down to the New England Patriots. Winners of the AFC East 3 of the last 4 years now. Buffalo wouldnt be playing for jack chit these next 3 weeks without that precious wild card. -
(OT) Hudson to Braves; Beltre to Seattle
Thurman's Helmet replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How did the Braves manage to give up a prospect, a failure and a JAG of the highest order for one of the premiere pitchers in baseball? Does Schurlholtz use the jedi mind trick? Oh and St. Louis' pitching STILL doesnt look so good BF. -
I'd like to take a ride down Diane Lane.

(OT) For Black Eyed Peas fans...

Whats so awful about being black? I think Fergie is a "buttaface" -
1st off, its an ELECTIVE surgery. 2nd, Everyone knows its an extremely RISKY procedure to be used as a last resort for morbidly obese people. I believe the fatality rate is like 1 in 100 die during or shortly after the procedure (Could be wrong about exact numbers, too lazy to look it up)

I'm fine with the list with one exception; QB. Mike Vick should headline that list.

How good are you at sports!!!!!

I"m 33 with 2 kids and havent had time nor the energy to play in any organized leagues. I used to play softball, basketball and sandlot football. Of course with age, the bumps and bruises take much longer to heal now. Also play golf but like you, I just cant seem to get any better and my swing (screwed up) is now in my head. Sometime next year, I'm going to start hunting with my father, we used to fish together when I was a kid but stopped once I went to college and never re-started. -
Cincy played pretty well barring turnovers last week on the road. Now they're at home and realize that they cant afford to lose a single game from here on out. I like the Bengals to win this game. Sorry folks. Cincinnati 27 Buffalo 21

Time to root for the Dolphins
Thurman's Helmet replied to KurtGodel77's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Steelers will be playing hard no matter what the situation is on the last week as they'll most likely have a bye the following week and will want their players to get "tuned up" for the playoff run. Just look at what Denver did last year, they mailed it in week 17 and then basically didnt even show up to play the Colts. (The Colts were great in that game but Denver didnt even TRY) -
Did I say anything about Drew's impact on the franchise? I just mentioned that he didnt singlehandedly WIN the Steeler game in 01. Believe me, I realize what he's meant to this team over the years and appreciate every bit of it. Its just now I appreciate Tom Brady even more.

The way Cincy has been playing, I'll take them PLUS 3 points all day long against Buffalo at home this weekend. Thats a sucker bet.

Werent the Pats already winning the game in Pittsburgh before Bledsoe came into that game? His backwards over the head pass was something of marvel wasnt it?

Best (Patrick) Pass Sunday

Excellent point. Even Brady himself said "nice pass but dont EVER do that again" -
The Buffalo Bills will beat Pittsburgh
Thurman's Helmet replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wins are wins no matter how they are achieved. The worst thing anyone could do would be to minimize those wins. Everything plays a factor in a team winning a game, a little luck, a little opportunity, weather, fans, everything. Just like the Pats winning streak. You HAVE to have those things if you're going to win consistently in the NFL due to the sheer talent spread across the league. The way its looking now, the Steelers will have something to play for come Week 17. For your sake, lets hope the Bills do too. Cincy stands solidly in your way. -
Be careful in this assumption; Predicting Week 17 outcomes is often like trying to predict the pre-season. Many teams have their playoff spots locked in and will then rest many of their starters. Unless the Colts are totally obsessed with jacking Peyton's TD pass record up there, they may be in such a spot.

Who in the hell is calling the Washington offense?
Thurman's Helmet replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Terrible, just terrible. Patrick Ramsay isnt nearly as good as I thought he was. -
Karma? I dunno. I get told not to get too cocky or else my Pats will lose.
-
Not the refs, the rules committee. The refs just enforced a rule.
-
Right now, as presently constituted, a LOT of teams could give the Pats a run for their money. If the Pats get all their guys back healthy then I dont think anyone beats us in our house. Whether or not they come back and play like they're healthy is another issue.
-
Why? You guys arent going to be playing the Pats unless we somehow meet in the playoffs. I understand the sentiment and you guys SHOULD feel good about your team right now but the focus should be on a really good up and coming Cincinnati Bengals team who you must play in their house.
-
Its nice thinking of that 3rd potential Bills-Pats game IN FOXBORO. Not sure I'd be totally confident going into Buffalo again. (For some reason, I have NO fear of going back to Pittsburgh however.)
-
The truly sad thing is, it looked like that game vs Pittsburgh was theirs for the taking and Pennington literally gave it away. Methinks the Jets are frauds.
-
I guess you gotta hang your hat on something. Where will you be standing along Buffalo's parade route for having better defensive statistics than the Pats in Week 14?
