  1. We do Jamboree in the Hills every year but this year my gf wants to do an actual vacation with just the 2 of us. I looked in to Hawaii since I'd love to go back there. (stationed there from 92-95) I can stay at the military hotel Hale Koa but flights are a little steep. I also looked in to some of the all inclusive stuff for Cancun and the Bahamas since it would save me all the alcohol money I'd spend in Hawaii. Just never known anyone to use one and don't know if they're all they're cracked up to be.

Also considering a cruise. Did one of those in the mid 90's too and had a great time.

Any other suggestions? Or experience with the above mentioned?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I'll be in WNY for my annual ski trip with my dad. Well not so annual trip I guess. Didn't do it last year because I had more important things to do. Like stay warm. Missed the year before because I had back surgery.

And in case any of you were wondering.......no I don't.

Hopefully it'll get cold again for you. Over 50 today and tons of rain. So Ellicotville is hating life right now.

  3.

I have a hard time picturing them not only convincing that group to help, but then also distributing those guns out among each of the groups unnoticed. I get the feeling the Kingdom winds up being key since they have an agreement where the Saviors never actually set foot there. They've almost gone too far in establishing the strength of the Saviors. It's going to take a damn near universal uprising within that group.

Tom, it seems way too early for that.

I thought that too, but I agree with Tom. Simply because they went out of the way to show those boots again almost after the credits. So to me it seems significant and there's been talk of them being in the show before the comic arc. And we know they don't always follow the timelines of the comic.

  4. I'm not married anymore but have been with my gf for over 3 years and living together for almost 3. She will be late for her own funeral. No matter what happens she's always late. I'll be sitting there telling her we need to leave in an hour. She'll wait until 5 minutes before we have to leave to start getting around. After 25 years of structure in the Marines it drives me batsh*t crazy! She's never been on time for anything, no matter how important.

Mrs. Bandit has one speed when it comes to getting ready to go anywhere--and that speed is sssssssssllllllllllllllllooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

It doesn't matter (a) where we're going, (b) when we're leaving, or © how long she's known about the event in question, she simply has no sense of when to start getting ready, how long it will take her, what she wants to wear, what she wants to bring, etc.

    It's painful at times.

Haha! Amen! We have the exact same problem!

  5. I liked the episode. Agree they should've had something with the Darryl and Maggie reunion. But I like how they left off with everyone coming together and that they plan to combine forces to fight Negan. Much better finale, although mid-season, than last season. I kinda enjoyed Carl's eye socket though, haha... And I for one, loved the Spencer scene. Pretty awesome!

  6. I asked for advice about the Alexa in another thread. Thought my gf would be interested in it. I just flat out asked her and she said she wouldn't want one. I've thought about them, but they don't do anything that a simple google search on the phone or apple music and a Bluetooth speaker can't. But that's for me. Of course if I had a "smart home" and I could control lights and appliances with it, I might feel differently.

  7. I think the answer will depend on how interested she is on committing to the tech habitat around that.

I don't have one but I've been debating using it as the brain center of some of the automation around the house I've been contemplating.

I have far from a "smart home". I think mostly for her she'll like the music aspect of it. She listens to music on her phone constantly while puttering around the house and think she'd like the phone freed up for phone things. lol.. But I think I would like the help features as I cook a lot so recipes and grocery lists added by voice as I think of things might be convenient.

  8. Does anyone here have the Amazon Echo? My girlfriend saw a commercial and seemed interested in it. I've been trying to read up and it seems I have to get Amazon Prime for it to really be any good, especially since she loves to listen to music. I have Apple Music on my phone but it doesn't work with the Echo. I'm just looking to see if it's in fact, as confusing to set up and use as what I've been seeing. I'm pretty electronically savvy but reading about it confuses me.

Also asking if anyone has it and what they think. Is it worth getting?
