I get frustrated with some of the writing and "cliffhangers" too. But I still love the show overall and will always watch. Any show has boring or perceived meaningless episodes from time to time.

Food Network... Diners Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy's Grocery Games, Beat Bobby Flay and Chopped... Love them shows. Although I will admit I often turn Chopped after the second round as I don't care much for deserts.

I still see Hawkins (his character in Jericho) when I see Lennie James in anything.
You know the relatively calm, level headed Savior is going to be the first to die.
LOVED Jericho. Definitely a show that ended too soon.

Ok, i agree that this season is slow moving on the action, maybe the writers have gotten lazy, or, id more like to think that this period in the show is the calm before the storm. You know a big explosive war is coming and i think they are trying to humanize the characters before that happens. For 6 seasons its been nothing but blood and gore, hacking and chopping.
As far as the weirdos, i think they are exactly what Grimey needs. I think he likes them, alot. Rick has been utterly demoralized by Negan, and is desperate. So as weird as they are. They have numbers, and they didnt kill him or lock him in a box, thats a plus. They are allies.
Dont forget, its been at least four years since the apocalypse, so stuff has changed, drastically. People have weirded out and its total lord of the flies stuff at this point.
The carnival, or whatever it is, the soldiers with the guns on their shoulders? Clearly that camp must have been overrun quickly, those soldiers must have thought they were safe in a platoon, but got jumped and bitten from behind. There really only were 3-4 of them with rifles on their shoulders, so its somewhat explainable, in my eyes. Dont forget the one who was stuck on the pipes, that was firing. He clearly had his finger on the trigger when he was bitten.
I cant wait to see them kill that insane bastard Negan. My only question is who is going to be the one to put a bullet in his heart. My early feeling is Coral.
He actually didn't have his finger on the trigger. His weapon got stuck in the rebar as he was walking towards them causing the weapon to fire. They talked about it in the Talking Dead aftershow. Also if they stick at all with the comics, Negan won't be killed. I won't spoil what happens but he won't be killed.

Last nights episode was not only boring but confusing. Is Eugene trying to play them to gather information? The smirk he had as he walked away from the first conversation with Negan makes me think he is. But he's such a kitty that I can't see him trying to be a hero.

The Scavengers might be... no Spiky Walker is... no the way Jadis communicates was... GAH!!! That whole episode minus Carol and Darryl reuniting was just annoying as hell? Top of the trash heap is "up, up, up?" The flash mob made up of the Scavengers discount Cure roadies reminded me of the Ohio State Marching Band, I was waiting for Father what'shisbucket to march out with a tuba a "dot the I" at the end!!
By my tally there's three dudes vying for Carol's heart... this going to end up like the last scene in Blazing Saddles.
Why is Rosita trying to make me dislike her!?! She's so freaking hot, but her butt-hurtness and stupidity has cost one life already.
But you gotta admit. The Scavangers are KILLING the mullet game!

I think the bigger question is, is Rick vaccinated? A flu almost wiped out the entire surviving crew in season 3 but getting stabbed by rusted metal and he's A-OK!
In the comics Rick loses his hand early in the series. When he cut it a season or two ago pulling that machete out of the walker many thought he would lose it then. Perhaps this will lead to that. I don't know. But they definitely take a lot of "liberties" in this series, which I don't really mind I guess.

I have not had a drink since the Christmas of 1980. My wife was 7 months pregnant we went to a Christmas party for the guys at work. The weather was very bad with alot of snow and alot of ice in the road and the driveway. I got so drunk that they had to help me out to my truck, and my wife ,7 month pregnant, had to walk by herself too the truck. The next morning I got up and told her I would never touch the it again. I could not believe i put my wife and kid in jeopardy because I didnt know when to say NO. I have not had any since. I guess I dont need it to have fun. I am not against someone drinking just not me anymore.
Good for you! That's why I'll never touch weed. A good high school friend of mine was in the bed of a truck and they were passing a joint through the middle window and the driver flipped the truck pinning him and paralyzing him from the waste down for life. Don't have a problem with productive people who use it. But it'll never be for me.

Interesting episode to me. Wish Darryl would've told Carol about Abe and Glenn but I understand why he didn't. My question is, why was that junkyard walker so damn strong? Rick fought off a hoard in the last episode but struggled with this one? Didn't buy that, kinda felt Resident Evil'ish....

When I was active duty I drank quite a bit. Party until 4 and a formation run at 5. lol.. Now I rarely drink. I shoot league pool on Wednesday nights and I will have 2, maybe 3 beers and that's it. Unless it's a concert or some type of event I don't drink at all anymore. A few beers is enough to make me feel like garbage the next day so I just don't care for it anymore.

Pastabilities is great food. Was on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. All the pasta is handmade on site and really good. Not super expensive either.

I really enjoyed last nights episode. I had to low crawl up my roof last night to clear snow from my dish because Directv went out when we got hit with the sudden storm. lol.. But it worked. I'm just surprised they introduced yet another "community". And where were they when they went to get the supplies from the boat in the first place? Perhaps it was one of them they showed at the end of the first half wearing the "boot". But they look ready to fight, so perhaps they will quickly become allies.

I like how it talks about 'if he has a chance, a real chance he'll be back'. So basically he wants a super bowl team handed to him. I liked and supported him when he was here but man, f him now.

That Dominican resort wouldn't happen to be the Sunscape Puerto Plata? It's exactly what you described with the restaurants. I mean the food was fine but the attempts at those cuisines were laughable. The drinks they served were pretty low brow too except for the rum. The Brugal distillery is only a mile away. That stuff is great.
But considering we paid $600/pp for 5-days all-inclusive with airfare from Boston, it was so cheap I couldn't complain. We actually enjoyed it overall.
Where do you go to look at package deals with airfair? $600 pp for 5 days with airfare from Boston is pretty cheap. I guess I don't really know where to look. The pages I'm looking at are the cost of the resorts only and airfare is separate. Should I just find a travel agency and look through them?
