Was watching Bloomberg TV before and the topic on hand was if Private Equity was destructive or productive for the economy. They had Eileen Applebaum and a guy who works on the PE side. Eileen's argument was essentially that PE owned firms performed poorly in contrast to non-PE owned firms and that PE partners were essentially looking out for themselves and profit growth rather than job growth The Bloomberg anchor didn't give her much time after that as her argument was all over the place

Did I say I'd rather have one or the other or did I just tell you that the Canadian system is actually more expensive if you take into account taxes paid vs insurance premiums?
