That being said, Israeli security is very stringent because they are the stronger opponent. During.the second Intifada, hundreds died. Were those "weapons" jokes?

    Bloomberg TV reports, cease fire at 2 PM EST between Israel and Hamas. It is well that war is so terrible - otherwise we would grow too fond of it.

    I think what GG is implying (and I could be wrong) is that Palestinians are treated much worse in neighboring countries that traditionally badmouth Israel for their treatment of the Palestinians.
