  1. Good point, and worth making. Of all the TD conspiracies, the "he only signs white guys even though they can't play" was one of the more mystifying.... turns out a high motor ain't such a bad thing after all.... Go Bills! P.S. I would take Bailey over Jennifer.... any day of the week.
  2. Touché. That's what I get for being tentative..... OK, now it's time for bed... What a great day! See you next week....
  3. Again... without checking my sources... it was in War Memorial... I am guessing that because Gawd knows in 1969-1970 we didn't win many road games....
  4. Against the Pats for a winning score.... I am saying that without looking at my copy of Relentless...
  5. Remember when Preston won that game with the option pass? It was the best thing since James Harris and Willie Grate....
  6. Hey, what's the big deal... I mean JP hasn't done anything Bledsoe could do... I cannot believe how good they look today.....
  7. Could they challenge if they had no more time outs? I think not.
  8. Definitely something to work on... one can hope that tiring the defense out will pay dividends later...
  9. No problem... I'm just funnin'. 12-0 in the second quarter is a good start, but I am with you, I want to see them get more touchdowns.... Go Bills!
  10. Damn that TD! You know he has ordered the team not to score touchdowns just to make his boy Lindell look good!
  11. Whew... glad they called a TO... I was getting so excited I was afraid of heart failure...
  12. He walked off... and Murph and AVP sounded pleased.... I hope it was just wind being knocked out. Hey hey JP... nice start, even without a Touchdown. At least Lindell came through!
  13. Fair enough, though you have to agree that if his record involves allowing some (not all, as I took your earlier messages to imply, though I apologize if I misinterpreted you) young talent to walk, it also involves developing teams (such as PIT, and such as the present Bills D) that have been able to survive and thrive even if this or that high-profile player happens to leave in free agency. That is why, even with a healthy dose of skepticism about TD, I do not accept pre-emptive assertions of gloom. If anything, his record suggests that once he builds a good team, it can become self-perpetuating, which allows at least as much room for hope that the Bills will build on their winning record last year as it does for fear that Nate will leave....
  14. Well researched and well put. Another blow against the anti-TD conspiracies. I hope that Lindell does not make us all regret it.
  15. Of course they will, and whether they stay in B-Lo or not will depend on a great variety of circumstances. The point I am making is that it is flat out wrong to assert that TD has a track record of letting young talent walk without having replacements. Whether he will suddenly start doing so in the future is something that no one can know. My guess is some people will stay and others will leave, and there is no overall conspiracy by TD against the future of the Bills... But the controversies can rage on anyway. That's what makes message boards so much dysfunctional fun....
  16. OK... winfield... another person who signed for beaucoup bucks somewhere else... and by the way someone without whom the Bills had the #2 defense in the league last year.... I still don't see the need to claim that the Bills will let all good young players walk...
  17. For those of you who wonder what I meant Bills fans should avoid re: lack of class. QED.
  18. D-Wag, you are right to point out how convoluted the conversations in TSW can become, but with your last comment are you honestly trying to imply that the Bills are avoiding resigning people just for the hell of it? Despite the suggestions from some on the board that TD has been letting people leave left and right without replacement, I am still looking for the "good, young" players that the Bills have not re-signed when they could do so. Jonas was good and young, but the niners offered crazy money. Pat was good but no longer young... Where does this pre-emptive bitterness come from? Go Bills!
  19. Fair enough. I am rather more optimistic than you are, and think you are reaching a bit with the rhetoric when talking of MW's "shockingly high cost," but I understand your argument. As you wrote in your last message to AD, I join with you in hoping that Big Mike's play on Sunday will be the first clear step toward making our argument moot. Go Bills!!
  20. Jeez, has this conversation gotten out of control! No one has said that anyone needs to kiss the Patriots' asses. This all started with a sensible comment that we can root for the Bills and dislike the opposition without having to start multiple threads attacking the Pats. It makes Bills fans look like classless whiners, just like those Pats fans who chant "Wide right" or other such nonsense have no class.
