I still am not 100% sure if ECB always gets real info or not, but I have seen enough from him to give some credence to his info. If this report is true, it is very interesting.

The day before the 2022 draft it was reported by someone who worked for I think The Draft Network that we had brought Elam in on a top 30 visit earlier that week. This was not a widely publicized visit, it was kept under wraps except for that one writer that got the scoop.

Last year after the draft Beane revealed that they had met virtually with Kincaid a couple times earlier in the week because they had zeroed in on him as a possible target. This was never reported by anybody.

So this tweet from ECB is the kind of report I have been looking out for - a last minute report with information that isn't widely publicized that says we are doing work on a prospect the week of the draft. There might be something to this.

In the 1st round Beane loves prospects with elite physical traits that interview well and have a good personality. Worthy fits the profile.

I can't with this guy. Him and all his Dhop is a Bill crap last year

I think there are other needs, but I would sacrifice some to get the WRs early.

DE, DT, CB, S, OL, RB2, lots of places I would add if given sufficient resources.

I do think it is a terrible year at edge and mediocre at S. WR (first two rounds, especially), OL, and CB are pretty deep.

There are some decent mid-round DT depth if you have to wait on that.

Right now, we have a second round pick at #60 and no third.

Right I meant 2nd my bad

Yeah I meant 2nd. I do this all the time with numbers at home too. Drives my wife crazy. Yeah so basically the same. WR in the first. Another need in the second and a Wr in the 4th imo works well for me but who am I lol

    Right, yes.

Where it matters is that if the Bills had a pick in each of the first 3 rounds, they could use 2 of the 3 on WR and still add to another position on the team.

Some people think the Bills have no other needs than WR, others (like me) think they have needs at DE, DL, and CB or maybe Safety.

It's possible Beane has some legerdemain on tap for creating a 3rd round pick, I don't know.

    WR

    another need in the 2nd

    Wr in 4th

    if the Bills stay put

I think we could say that KC just won the SB without a true #1.  What exactly make a WR a Wr1?  Is it the receiver that gets the most targets?  Does he have to play the boundary?  Can he be a “move” receiver who sometimes is out wide?  Can he play predominantly in the slot?

I get the idea that you want a receiver whom defenses have to pay extra attention to to free up other receivers and that WR1 is the “go to” guy.

I'm thinking not everyone has this caliber but Jefferson, Chase and such. Those guys that are open when they're not open, or create opportunities for your other receivers because they draw coverage. No one is going to fear Amy of our WRs. I know we can't just pull one out of a hat lol, but I'd like to know that the WR position is important enough to not just rely on Josh being Josh all the time.

Not a video headline I expected to see... but hey, he's always loved Josh Allen 😅

The rumor is more focused on Dallas, but for some reason the Bills came up as the next best option for him.

    1) Revenge on Kraft

    2) Having Josh Allen

    3) Knowing how to beat Mahomes

Nick Wright wants him to go to the Jets though. If McDermott gets fired, would you guys be open to this?

Incredible route running and ability to create separation. The best in the class. He comes with 4.39 speed and can play inside and outside.

But his size and injury history is concerning. He also seems to struggle on deep throws and there are questions about whether he can be that X receiver

Hes an ideal early 2nd round pick imo

Sounds like he thrives in that Shakir zone. I heard Beane says he's not concerned with a true #1 WR. So maybe it's this guy!?  Makes me nervous to think the GM thinks we don't need a true #1. To me that sounds like more "Josh can and needs to do it all" talk.

Other than Harrison and Odunze,  Ladd McConkey as the safest WR to draft .

At minimum you have a high end slot guy with good work ethic, character, ability to separate and hands.

If he’s able to work as an outside guy then you will have hit a home run.

Have you watched much of him?  I've only seen a few clips. I was warming up to the idea of him maybe second round if Buffalo went DE or something in the first, but then I'm hearing that he's projected to be good and reliable but not great. And then there some injuries I guess. I'd be interested to hear more about him from others than the media I guess. Thanks! Go Bills.

There might not be much choice in the matter, they'll have about 9M in cap space post June 1st, with a bit over 5M to sign the rookies. Doubtful that a Michael Thomas or an OBJ type of player is signing for less than 4M per season imo but who knows, it should be interesting to see what the plan is.

For sure. I'm anxious to see how it turns out. I'm hoping we can double dip at WR in the draft this year.
