1. 1. The Bills always come up small when it matters most.

2. Travis henry makes the worst mistakes at the worst possible times.

3. Travis is horrible at blitz pickup, and is responsible for HOW MANY hits on drew?

4. Josh Reed comes up small too. The guy can't catch when it matters most.

5. Don't be fooled by a few nice passes from Drew. He's the King of coming up small.

6. The Bills appear to be jinxed. How many times does the worst possible thing happen at the worst possible time? How many times do the Bills get the worst calls against them at the worst possible time? How many other teams in this league can have a playcall miscommunication on 4th down after a timeout? How  many times do non-calls happen that should have turned the game?

7. No other teams have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat as often as the Bills.

8. 3 AFC losses do not put us in position to win a wildcard. And there's no way in hell we're going to win the division.

9. This team is full of losers who don't know how to win. How can you deny it? The coaches did not lose this game. THey called a good game.

10. Coy Wire is merely a poor man's larry izzo. THat is, he's not as good a STer as izzo, and just as bad a defender. The man has no business as a starting saftey in the NFL. When was the last time he made  a play?

11. We're going to hear all the same excuses all week. And nothing is going to change next week. We have key injuries now on our line, so expect the backups to fug up royally in the coming weeks. The baton will be passed to the next few people who will find a way to lose for us.

12. None of us have the right anymore to blame gregg williams and kevin gilbride for our heartless losses last year. Yes, williams' gameday choices often blew, and gilbride was a lousy, stubborn playcaller. But they still only had heartless losers to work with. Now we can see that more clearly.

13. The personnel team's good decisions aside, they've blown it royally at the safety position.

I'll leave it at 13, which is perfect for this team. The Bills will finish 7-9, or 6-10, hand Dallas a high 1st round pick, and the Bills team will continue to believe that Drew gives us the best chance to win in 2005. Sleep well.

I disagree with 13. When Milloy comes back & Vincent we could be good at safety. Put Mcgee at corner now.
2. Helps me feel a little better to sit here and watch Jay "at least they think I'm better than Feeley" Fiedler throw TD passes for the Jets. I love how the players thought they sucked because of AJ Feeley......they actually did, but they stuck only slightly less with Fiedler. They just suck in general, and I feel really good about that.

And we have a team on the rise. With a different QB & a couple other new players, I think we will be a contender next year. Miami Has 2 suck QB's and a D that is old and will be a year older next year. They also have a worse O-line than the Bills, no running back & only 1 decent receiver.
3. Only the Arizona Cardinals are worse.  Can anyone honestly say this team has shown ANY improvement in 4 years?  What is the difference between Coy Wire jumping offsides on that fieldgoal and Chris Watson roughing the fieldgoal kicker in the Meadowlands?  We've gotten NOWHERE.  We will barely, if at all, surpass the 3-13 record in TD's first year at the helm.  We have an inept QB, and a vastly undertalented o-line.  We have lots of talent at the skill positions but we've never had a coaching staff that knows how to use it.

We are the laughingstock of the entire league.

54097

The Fins are worse, & next year with JP we will be much better. Miami has a defence that is getting older not better, & I would not want either of their QB's.
4. Anyone who solely blames DB for this loss is clueless.  Again, he wasn't perfect, but he was hardly the reason they lost.  People need to pull their head out of their arse.

54165

He did not win the game either. The season is over. Why not see if Mathews can be a decent QB with this team for next year?
5. Wow, John, you're losing credibility with me.

DB played rather well today.  80% of those mistakes today had nothing to do with him!

Check out Wire's play today and then pass judgment.

P.S., did you watch the game at all?

54160

Even if you are right about 80%, the 20% cost us the game. Drew is a great guy but he must go.
6. It's understandable.....our natural reaction is to just automatically say "DAMN OUR O LINE SUCKS".......we've been conditioned that way for a while lol.  But they honestly did play very well in the first 40 mins or so.

54040

They would have looked even better with a different QB, I am now on the dump Bledsucks bandwagon.
7. He needs experience. Let him make rookie mistakes in a year that doesn't matter and then next year he will be ready. You can't sit a guy because your afraid he might get hurt. Football doesn't work that way. You can't learn how to swim without getting in the water.

BTW. I'm willing to bet the O-Line doesn't look as bad with JP at QB

49145

Yeah, what you said.
8. ...there came a point late in the game with the Marlins well in front (won 9-1) that fans started throwing baseballs, bottles, cans and other debris on the field.  Umps called the teams off the field and had to threaten forfeit for them to stop.

Was sad also how that franchise went belly up and how MLB treated that team the past few years, making them play 20-some odd games a year in Puerto Rico.  There were some good Expo teams (especially early 80s) and some fine ballplayers (like Pedro Martinez and Vlad Guerrero); unfortunately, they could never fiscally keep those core players together.  A lot of talented players came and went, so there was never any sense of continuity.

Olympic Stadium, from what I heard, was a dump.  Old Parc Jarry, it predecessor, had some character if not seating capacity--the Expos didn't win much early on but Le Grand Orange provided excitement.

Dunno if D.C. will embrace baseball after 33 years.  Plans call for a $13 million renovation for RFK until a new stadium is built nearby along the Anacostia in 2007 or 2008.  I thought Northern Virginia would land the Expos but it didn't pan out.

50302

About time, they never should have had a team in the first place!
9. Depends.  Are they playing during hurricane #5?!!

I couldn't believe the slop they were playing in last night.  God that looked awful, especially with that muddy dirt infield!

For the game in Buffalo, I say 17-10 Bills.

46682

Will The NFL ever schedule another game in Sept. in Miami again? 21-0Bills

10. Gruden isn't going anywhere, unless he chooses to leave.  Do you think Tampa sucks becuase of their coaching??  Neither do I.  Face reality, the Bucs gave up their first newborn for Gruden, and he brought a championship to town.....his job may be more secure than Parcells.

47134

I totally agree. He will get at least 2 more years to bring in new players.
11. I think Bledsoe is pretty much washed up as a QB, but that being said Shane Mathews is not and will never be better.  To hope that we can simply stick him in and magically improve is fantasy.  It has nothing to do with saving face, it has to do with reality.  TD should have signed a decent  backup in the offseason so we'd actually have the option of pulling Drew.

44575

They had Brown & Losman. When they both got hurt no one good was left to get.
12. Yeah the Bills were really flat yesterday, but I definitely saw much from the Bills that was encouraging.

We actually had good returns, McGee and Clements did pretty well (it is really bad when the television crew couldn't actually find the hold on the punt return). And London Fletcher had a better return than antonio brown would have had yesterday.

Bledsoe actually made some smart decisions as his only pick was from a bad drop by henry. He consistently threw the ball where his guys should get it.

The coaches are still implementing their system so it is a work in progress but it still developing better the first games with GW.

Defense was solid as usual, but still no turnovers to speak of.

Anybody else find some + signs, to contradict the negative Buffalo/ Rochester media?

38469

At least we ended Jerry Rices streak of games with at least 1 catch!
13. What is it? Because the guy is from Western NY he thinks he has to go the other way to save face? On that incomplete Pass at the back of the endzone, Criqui calls TD before the Jags WR hits the ground. And I'm not trying to say I'm more observant than the next guy, but it was WAY obvious even during Live action that the receiver was well out of bounds.

Now the only question at that point was whether or not he was forced out, which he obviously was not based on the replay. Nonetheless, what in the World is Criqui doing calling that a TD Live with no Official indication, and the WR's first foot hitting a yard out of bounds?

I know some don't care, but these Guys are supposed to be the best in the Nation at calling Games, and it drives me nuts when the Game is called like garbage or one sided. They both (Criqui and Tasker) totally blew the Challenge call on the Ball spot, which seemed pretty obvious to me. Then that TD call which was nothing more than a nice catch out of bounds....Brutal... B)

27527

I agree they both sounded like Jax homers.
