I love how because McDermott is an unpopular figure around here, everything that’s gone wrong is his fault 🤣🤣😂
How do you know that it was McDermott who insisted on making these picks? How do you know it wasn’t Beane who insisted on defense?
Indeed. McDermott is the scapegoat. It's a means for fans to protect Beane, Allen, etc. and maintain a glimmer of the hype.

Pats on a mission to get their QB. And of course still beat the Bills. 😑

Ravens, Chiefs, Dolphins, and Jags are great teams.

What do you mean without actual success? Bills have the best record in the NFL since 2020 coming into this season, 2nd only to KC I think by like 1 game. Allen wins, and he wins a lot. He was the best player on the field in the playoffs for 2 weeks in 2021 but the team let him down. He was so good the NFL changed a rule because of him. He holds multiple records already in regular season and playoffs. He has twice as many TD's (20) as Burrow (10) in the post season despite only 1 more game played.
Sorry, to say he does it without actual success is just false.
I meant he has one AFCC loss, a couple of frivolous Pro Bowls, and a Madden cover to show for all the winning and records.- 1

Who cares about a pick? Did he leave the field with a lead late in the game? In OT? He played great.
I care about a pick, particularly because it was on Allen and flipped momentum late in the game.
And yes, Allen left the field in OT with the lead - after another bizarre miscommunication - and handed the game back to his defense. Hurts ensured the game-winning TD.
Overall, Allen had a great game. But there continues to be that nagging undercurrent allowing big stats and flash plays but without actual success.

This report has also been spun as zero percent chance of firing in season. Also, the “strong working bond” between McDermott and Beane should be moot as they deserve to be fired together.
That being said, I expect both will be back next season and a new DC hired.

I prefer “turnover artist” as some of Allen’s INTs/fumbles - both in terms of circumstance and impact - are rather *especial*

Win every game left but the last.
Would be Billsy if the Dolphins already clinched division/seed and played their backups. -
The next GM is going to love all these restructured contracts.

We have 4 defensive lineman signed for next year, and possibly only 2 starters depending on how Von Miller recovers from his injury. Miller, Oliver, Rousseau, and Jonathan.
We are very thin there, and will not have the cap to do much there. Could be our first round pick.
This regime is spinning in circles.
They’ll get under the cap. The question is how many roster holes will be created, how much dead money will pile up, and how in the world they’ll be any better than this year. I’d prefer Beane/McDermott not make these decisions out of desperation.

Not really sure how contracts work in the nfl with players that are imprisoned during their contract. But I don’t see Ruggs on Vegas’ salary anymore.
Don't worry about it. You're a long, long way from incarceration which likely won't be the result of this anyway.

Will Beane ever be held accountable? This contract was one of the worst things I have ever seen from the minute it was signed.
Despite the roster/cap mess, fans still love Beane because of his shades.

I would’ve been stunned and upset if this were a year ago. Sometimes I forget Von Miller plays for the bills. I wonder how many receivers and Olinemen we could get in his place on the salary cap
Was he ever a Bill? Unfortunately Beane had to risk it because he didn't hit on any of his DE draft picks.

That will ruin our season. Last year it was the Topps shooting and Damar, and now this! How can these guys be expected to be good at football with such distractions???
I'm leaning sarcasm here but not sure.

Mark it down right now. This team is going to the playoffs. We're going to run the table and finish 11-6. Too much adversity has hit this team over the last four years for it not to happen. The negativity they'll hear the next two weeks will spring this team like it did in 2021 in a very similar game in Tampa. It's always darkest before the dawn.
Do you watch Bills games? -

Don’t know how Beane comes up with some of these guys. “Red shirting” a 5th rd pick?!
-
The testament about a good coach who can’t win the big ones applies here. McDermott’s overtime record and playoff road record speaks more than his overall winning percentage.

Needed to force the Eagles to settle for OT and not go for the win.

"Billsy" is the word that came to mind when the Jets threw a Hail Mary just before the half and the Dolphins turned it into a pick-6.
"Jetsy" just didn't have the same feel to it.
The applicable phrase in that instance is “same old Jets.” -
Harty is quintessential Beane. Perhaps the only player who could make me miss McKenzie.

Wait, what happened?! Belichick is one of few administrators with the huevos to blatantly tank. Inexcusable victory.
