This story makes it confusing around what the rule actually is. Sounds like the rule is both teams need to use the same equipment but the story just points out the Dolphins sideline. If that actually is the rule then it would seem the Chargers had to be using them as well.

Beasley was very adamant about not playing in New York but evidently decided that playing with QB who likes hard balls is better than playing out of NYS who likes soft balls.  Players have often mentioned that when they retire being with their fellow players is what they miss most (other than pay checks) so after being on bench or not even on a team taught him a lesson.

I do not think at this point he is taking snaps away from other players.  He is on practice squad working on emulating opposition and may even be playing Tua since he used to be a HS QB.  Bills will be able to see how good of shape he has been in playing basketball and determine if they wish to escalate him for a game.  Coach McD likes pressure on all players including starters for pressure creates diamonds; this does not apply to Josh for he is Superman and he creates diamonds.

The defense wouldn't find him to be a good Tua simulation; he's way too tough to pretend that.

Looks to be 1-3” of snow in the evening. Game time temp around 29 and WSW winds at 10mph - not all that windy really. 8pm-11pm around 70% chance of snow falling at .20 in per hour. Seems pretty manageable but probably need another day or two for it to shift into focus for Saturday night

Sounds pretty manageable. Still better stock up on beer, beef jerky, and edibles… I mean milk, bread, and eggs…

Almost assuredly at this point we are going to get hit with another major lake effect event this weekend. Where it ultimately ends up hitting worst will depend on the wind direction. Currently appears Southtowns and Southern Tier/Ski County to get the worst of it. OP in the crosshairs.

You and a few other posters had some really good info the other week with the storm. I got better info here than the actual news and weather apps. Seems like we are starting to get into the time frame where we should have a good idea for what this storm is going to be, but it has been relatively quiet so far. Are we looking to have just a normal Buffalo snow with a few inches or could this end up being something significant again?

Rusty,  just because he is well rested doesn’t mean he can play anymore. If he could he would be playing for someone already. He got to put himself on film months ago on Tampa and no one was calling him after. I didn’t observe the same skills anymore. Being rested is different than having the Will to compete and the skills to keep performing at a high level. I didn’t see either in those Tampa games.

That may be true or maybe not, we don’t really know enough what’s going on with him to understand the details. He may have given it a shot and hated plying in TB with Brady. Or he may have had the best time of his career playing with JA17. We can’t really speculate when it comes down to someone’s will to play. At the end of they day he just seems to have something left in him that he wants to put out there and that alone seems like enough to take a flyer on.

  6. I feel like Beasley’s departure was a lot dependent on what his expectations were for this season. Time tested vets like him have a hard time of accepting what reality does to receivers of that age. He thought his value was way higher than reality. A short stint on the Bucks PS may have made him wake up.

A well rested and uninjured Beasley coming in during the last few weeks with a chip on his shoulder, realizing he isn’t worth much more than vet minimum could go a long way. I would rather have a healthy Beas coming into the stretch today than a barely walking Beas facing the playoffs that we have seen the last two years.

Beasley will get open underneath, catch the ball and fall over. This is what he has to offer at this point. I can’t really see how that is an upgrade on Shakir, but I guess the coaches see them practice every day and know better than I do.

At this point just the bolded would be appreciated.

Per the uniform gridiron database page, the Bills have already posted their color rush reds. The only look that looks worse than the all-blues. Sorry I can't post the link.

They look dumb but if it is a snow globe at least they will be visible and Allen can find his receivers... as long as they figure out how to not drop the ball.

  9. Bad weather is an equalizer in today's modern era of high passing football. It hasn't been a Bills home field advantage since the Kelly days. With that said, I think it comes down to who can overcome the adversity better. After watching the Bills play tough defensive football in the cold wet slop and seeing Tua struggle in perfect conditions, I think we are in a good position.

His name is bigger than his game at this point. The dude had 44 catches last season, and is coming off an injury. OBJ made timely plays in the postseason with a team that was clicking on all cylinders. The postseason with LA put him back in the spotlight. It doesn’t mean he’s elite at this point.

The old buy the rumor sell the news approach.
