  1. Seems to me you're using the term 'taxpayer' when you mean 'people who buy things.' If so, 'taxpaying' is irrelevant.
  2. Taxpayer money? What? Like the waste DOGE is going after. How are tariffs related to 'taxpayer money?' The tariffs are being charged on foreign goods. What tax money are you talking about?
  3. Don't forget gender surgeries for kids that'll mess them up for life! And 'trans' biodudes in women's bathrooms, sports and lockerrooms.
  4. Your response shows me exactly why the Dems lost. No problem!
  5. If you're that upset about how things are going, do you ever look back at the election (from a Democratic perspective) and wish the party had run a more serious candidate? Instead of handing the nomination to someone who was clearly not suited for the job? Do you wish Biden had stepped aside much earlier in the process? It really seems to me that they decided early on that Trump was unelectable due to 'being a felon,' and as far as candidates they said, 'oh well we'll just run her,' and get some 'first woman of color president' points since ANYONE could've beaten Trump. That's how the strategy looked to me.
  6. Again, you're talking about welfare and social security as if they're similar things. They're not.
  7. They should definitely look into waste and fraud there.
  8. You have to think bigger in terms of Trump's overall goals. You don't know that the current 'tariff policy' is part of a long-term anything.
  9. Roundabout is the one calling social security "welfare." I am telling him it is NOT welfare. We've paid into it. There are people who DON'T pay into it and DON'T receive social security.
  10. Well if you need it explained in even SIMPLER terms: welfare is for the poor.
  11. It is not need-based. It comes from taxes calculated based on what you've earned throughout your working life and have paid into the system toward retirement. That seems like a pretty basic thing for you to not know.
  12. The side effects will be impressive. With luck, not permanent.
  13. Kinda how the mayor of LA went to Ghana during the fire disaster? Of course she IS mayor of the city. Unlike USAID workers.
  14. Tampa is a great city, so much fun stuff to do! And not far from the beaches. I hope they have an awesome time!
  15. At the end of the day it will turn out that Liberals: Despised this era's George Washington (Trump) Despised this era's Thomas Edison (Musk) And that the two men will have succeeded in making the country a better place in spite of Libnut opposition.
  16. Okay, nice to know you aren't all that plugged into the topic. Glad you have opinions though!
  17. Where in Florida are they? We're rooting for UF here, that's where both of my kiddos went to school.
  18. The people who think it won't work are those who are worried that their party won't be returned to power. I think Trump's going for a financial reset of a much larger magnitude than anything we've seen in our lifetimes. I'm happy to see it play out. He'll either end up on Mt. Rushmore for it or not. There's that much at stake. "Predicting" what will happen short-term is a rather fruitless task, but Lefties are welcome to continue doing that.
  19. Of course Joe Biden could have done it his way, but he was tired with a touch of dementia. (i.e. "The BEST version of Biden," per Joe Scarborough) And Kamala could have done it HER way, but she seemed to not know how to articulate that, and even went so far as to say she "wouldn't change a thing" about what the Biden/Harris administration did. Now the American people COULD have elected her, in spite of that, but they didn't. So now it's going to be Trump's way. And it won't just affect this country, it'll affect the planet as a whole.
  20. They have to figure out how to de-grift the process. Where Did Haiti's $13.5 Billion In Earthquake Aid Go?
