  1. I live in Tishomingo (Oklahoma) where Blake Shelton lives. Small town of about 3,200 and 99% of us who see him around town... at the local DQ or Dollar General, we don't bother him.

But I get those who travel hours to come to Tish and would run into him (or Gwen) and wanting to take a photo. Sorta comes with the celeb status.

  2. My Pokes beat Texas (Texas is BACK! lol) for the 6th time in 7 games in Austin. We can dominate every Big XII team, not named OU.

Oklahoma State is the most paper thin 6-0 team/top 10 team in the nation. Our defense is legit, our offense is held together with duck tape and aluminum foil. Have a chance to go into Bedlam 11-0. Which we would come out 11-1 because I have zero confidence in Mike Gundy beating OU. Last time we beat OU, we were 5-6 and had a dude named Tyreek Hill in the backfield.

0-2 last night.  Should be automatic.  OL was abused all night last night and really was just flat-out embarrassing.

    Yep

My ONLY issue with that 4th and inches play last night was we ran the SAME PLAY on the goal line earlier in the game. It was 100% identical, Allen under center going left. He got blown up the first time when 3 Titan defenders crushed him.

That's where he likes to go... so if I knew where he was going, they definitely had to know. Would have rather him handed it off to Moss on that last play.

No, we didn't. We still had a timeout.

Yep. He makes it... spikes it with one or two more throws into the EZ (or even a run then a timeout) before the FG attempt.

I know plenty of native Americans who liked the name Washington Redskins because they thought it honored them .. and they were glad to be represented in the NFL

Not to mention that many natives actually painted their faces red with ocher for a thousand years.. it's historical

But Cancel culture is coming for everything

If Dan Schneider was out bashing native Americans week in and week out it would be distasteful..but he's always been respectful about it and said it's about pride

I don't think there's anything nefarious with the Seminole war chant.. or the Chiefs tomahawk chop

It's just something stupid to get the fans in the game.. I really don't think there's anything nefarious behind

Okie here.... both my girls are on the Chickasaw Nation roles. Well over half the people in this state have Native American blood.

I have yet to meet someone who finds any "Indian" mascot offensive. In fact, nearly all HS teams here have some mascot with Indian ties in just my small area in Texoma:

Tishomingo Indians (where I live, home of Blake Shelton)

    Kingston Redskins

Plainview Indians (where my girls attended, home of Justin Blackmon)

    Marietta Indians

    Wynnewood Savages

    Fairview Apaches

    Shawnee Braves

    etc

    etc

    etc

    etc

    etc

He finally took his own advice!

I have to imagine him insulting the entire Bills fan base didn’t go over too well with the coaches/front office/owners. I know if I insulted my work’s customers I’d probably be fired on the spot. Most people would.

I am not implying that I want him to be cut, or that I think he should be cut. I like Beasley and think he’s an important part of this offense but he needs to stay off social media with his anti-vax misinformation. We all know he refused to get vaccinated. We all know why he feels that way. But he just can’t let it go.

Remember his first press conference training camp when he said he’d make 1 final statement on the vaccines (then refused any questions on it) and that would be the last he said about it this season? Well, it’s about damn time.

    Why?

With Hauschka we were limited to <45 yard Field Goals, and he was struggling to get those there.

I've just never been a fan on drafting a kicker. Then all I saw was the video of the one-step 60-yard FG kick like that translated into an actual game, lol.

I was wrong. He's been amazing for us.

This is why fans don’t run teams.
We would of cut Bass after two games last year. Would of traded Knox for a bag of footballs because hollister was clearly the better option. Edmunds clearly has to go and is replacement level. Oliver never makes plays. Levi can’t cover anything. Star has no impact on the defense cause anyone can just take up space.
Patience is so important, players CAN elevate their play.

Knox has been a huge mismatch from the day he was drafted. And the coaches stuck with him and it’s beginning to pay off bigtime for this team. I can happily say I don’t need any forms cause I’ve never had a problem supporting his play and was willing to take the drops due to what a huge mismatch he presents to opposing defenses

I openly admit I was so confused and pissed when we drafted Bass. I was so wrong.

Matt Corral is the new generational player this year.

He's GOOD. I was at the game on Saturday and he lit it up. I'm an Oklahoma State fan/ticket holder and we were on a bye... so I went to see Ole Miss/Arkansas (my youngest daughter goes to school there). Fun game!

They had it on WGRZ this morning... (via YouTube). They showed some of the crowd but the onsite reporter said "About 50 fans".

  12. I've been a huge fan of Dawson since he blew me away when he ran over half Cincy's defense a couple of years ago. I got RIPPED on the Bills FB pages for saying he can be a beast if we give him time.

He's at least a beast on my Madden' team.

  13. GO POKES!!!! Oklahoma State alum (3rd generation), fan and season ticket holder.

I became a Bills fan because of Thurman Thomas being drafted from my alma mater. OSU has sent Buffalo a few players over the years... Thurman, Terry Miller, Matt Monger, Vincent Taylor (HUGE mistake letting him go, he's a FG blocking machine), Reuben Grant, Phil Dokes, etc...

My Cowboys have been on the cusp of being one of the best programs in the NCAA the past 20 or so years (2nd most wins in the BIG XII and top 10 in total wins in the NCAA the past 13-15 years).

  14. Cleveland might be more of a threat to us than any team in the AFC (IMO). They have a damn good running game, best OL in the NFL and their defense has greatly improved from last season. They were one team I didn't want to face last year in the Playoffs.

PS: As an Oklahoma State fan/alum.... I HATE Mayfield. I also hate Garrett after what he did to OSU alum, Mason Rudolph.

Is he worth using the 32nd pick in the draft on?

He is MASSIVE but he's not very quick. OSU didn't use him enough when he was in Stillwater... his speed and hands were an issue at the time. Hopefully he's better at both.

But I think Knox (I've been saying this since he was drafted from Ole Miss) has a chance to be EXTREMELY good for us. He's showing signs this year.

  16. I came to Oklahoma State as a QB and they moved him to "Cowboy Back" (aka, TE) in Stillwater. I HATED to see him leave OSU... we didn't utilize him enough. He's not the fastest in the world, but the dude is a freak with his size.

Could you imagine if they kept him at QB in Stillwater?!?

And how do you know they are?  Based on your own research I assume.

Who's numbers would you trust?  Probably no ones if they don't side with your own belief on the vaccine.

You don't believe this because you have personal anecdotal evidence that disproves it?

did you know that if something is supposed to happen 95% of the time, that 1 time out of 20 it doesn't happen?

I think these numbers are way off because?

8 members of my immedicate family are fully vaccinated, including myself: Ex-wife (who travels with me for our girls college events), both my girls, my niece (lives with my parents) and both my parents. FOUR of us got it and two of us spread it to another person in our family, 6 weeks apart. I gave it to my ex on our trip to move our youngest in to Ole Miss and my dad gave it to my mother, who is now hospitalized. PS: My father wears a mask during 95% of his working hours... and gloves.

NFL data 7x less likely to be infected.  No intra-facility spread.  CDC LA study. 5x less likely to be infected, 29x less likely to be hospitalized.  CDC HCW study ( high exposure) when tested weekly, all infections 3x less likely with some evidence of declining effectiveness after 6 months.  UK public health 5x less likely.

    These all with Delta.

    The vaccine reduces spread

I believe the less likely to be hospitalized stat. I don't believe the other stats... not for a freaking second. CDC's numbers are f'ed up.

This is just dumb.  It’s also misinformation.

Here’s the reality.  The county and PSE stand together on this issue.  One of beauties of the capitalist society in which we live is that businesses (such as PSE) have the right to engage in non-discriminatory practices.  You, the consumer, have the right to disagree with those practices by closing your wallet.  Don’t want the vax?  Don’t go to the games and don’t open your wallet.  And don’t complain about discrimination, because you’re not part of a protected class.

What's the misinformation? I chimed into this thread because he's right... you can get Covid after being fully vaccinated and spread it to another fully vaccinated person. I'm one of 4 people in my immediate family who has had this happen in the past 6 weeks.
