Should have canned McClappy too, obviously. Dorsey is the scapegoat. He didn’t drop balls or throw INTs or fumble the ball. X4
But he has called sh^t plays all season and can't get the offense in a rhythm.

Is this a joke? Was it intended to be a joke? If this was actually serious, then you are too woke to be a Bills fan.
Figure skating is probably the sport you should turn to. Since Buffalo is close to Canada, curling may be an option.
Or you can spend your Sundays knitting sweaters for your cats. There's RomComs on Netflix or a spa day to wax your mangina.
But sh*t here is going to get Billsy. We have 50 years of Billsy and to think Josh was going to pull us out of it was just.... Billsy.- 1

Raiders came to life after they fired their ass clown of a coach. Perhaps we do the same.

or give up and focus on next year. After tonight, this season seems like a wash. This is a 9-10 win team at most and that's probably not going to earn a playoff spot. The implosion tonight was the nail in the coffin on this year. Dorksy has to go.

The Intentional Grounding call was a freakin' joke too.

And they still beat the Bills. Go figure. That is the true travesty of the season. The other losses I could handle, but that one. pukeworthy.

We love this team. We deserve better. What I would really love to know is whether this is a case of McDermott blindly continuing to support "his guy" or if McDermott, himself, is the one who is dictating the style of offense in an attempt to prop up his faltering (yes- also injury ravaged) defense.

They took a huge risk not bringing an experienced OC on to a team that was already a contender.
It's just not working out. When I watch our O, the word that comes to mind is "vanilla." Other offenses have much more creativity and unpredictability.
This is the truly sucky part. Daboll is going to implode with the Giants. Maybe they give him another year or two but he's a better OC than HC. And he's a hometown guy.. What better story than winning the SB for your hometown team. Can you imagine how much this offense could have evolved if he stayed. I don't blame him for wanting to be his own man and maybe McD was neutering him the way he may be doing to Dorsey. We were so close and I hate seeing the drift get farther from those Super Bowl shores. -

I still think he's a top 10 NFL QB by default, but all the critics who have called him a fraud are being vindicated this season because there's simply no excuse for such wildly inconsistent play and enough anecdotal evidence is there that perhaps he is the main problem right now and is already on the downswing of what might be a very short NFL career akin to Cam Newton who many also warned as a relevant cautionary tale.
It's the damn Madden cover curse.

WTF!! WTF!! WTF!!! This guy should have zero say in the offense. Dorsey sucks too. Damn a good year is going into the Sh*t can way too quickly. We better learn from this and step it up for the stretch run.

Just one turnover in five games will do that you ...
And sh^t for sacks, hurries and pressure.

Seems you've been proven wrong. Not that we don't wish that scenario unfold, but because this isn't a well-coached or efficient team.

I'm going all in on the DORSEY SUCKS threads. Bring them on. Our offense has the firepower to win all these games. Bad play design and bad play calling are the reason we don't.

Dorsey X 100. McDermott gets a few weeks to improve the D with his re-inforcements.

It's a plague across the league and the NFL is allowing the officials to dictate games. I've seen more great defensive stops only to get a phantom holding penalty on the defense that prolongs a drive. The part that is infuriating to me is that there is no standard, no set of rules that apply equally to all players. There is no defined rule for defensive holding, pass interference or roughing the passer. It varies from ref to ref, game to game and if it's borderline, the refs decide the game. I absolutely hate that about the NFL this year. Indy-Cleveland game was a perfect example of the refs throwing a game. It's got to stop, But it won't.

This is absolutely not a co-incidence.
McBeane recognized the problem and took proactive steps to address it right before it was time to knock heads with these guys again.
It's been a the Method of Operation since the off-season. The last three signings re-enforcements. Getting Torrence, McGovern, Edwards, Murray, Harris, Rapp, Floyd. All physical players that upgraded their positions with a nastier edge to their game.

Exactly what I've been thinking. We need 5 DL with a combination of 1-2 LB and 4-5 DB/S or Hybrids like Poyer/Rapp have been playing.

I just have one thing I wonder about. How comfortable will he be if the Bills play him versus the Bengals? Yes, I read the post about him coming in and playing right away last year at Philadelphia, but I don't know how similar the defenses are. Is Buffalo's defense pretty similar to what he's played in the past? At his age, I imagine the Bills would view him as a rotational player.
At 1T there's not a lot of stunts and call to make. He could and should play. Stuff the middle, try to take up 2 defenders to free others up. Get to the QB if possible.

Got to scheme guys open. Miami does it. We have a bad set of plays that do not take advantage of our talent or create mismatches. It's the same crap all the time against every team. Nothing schemed up that is new to take advantage of different defenses. The whole league was on to us and knows what we are going to do all the time. That is on the OC. The other things you mention add into it, but if you scheme guys open you don't need to throw into double coverage.
