I imagine he isn't sober and it wouldn't surprise me the league isn't actively trying to push him out.  I hope his heirs aren't following in his lifestyle choices.  I imagine even a change to an heir has to be approved in someway for it to be official.  If the league finds the heir unsuitable a forced sale at that point may be pushed by league.

The real question is how far back Miller can get. My hope was that he would be back close to his former self just prior to the playoffs. I thought that was what was most important - and a reasonable time frame. But the longer this drags on, the more concerning the situation is. And I said “my hope” because at his age there is no guarantee that he makes it back close to his former self or that it happens this season.

Maybe he doesn't get back.   No one csn tell but he certainly is putting it the work to get there. Baby steps but they are steps.

My bad.  Guess 5he Mafia is gonna have to cause a whiteout of the Miami 9ffense let it get buried under Josh and the offense raining cold strikes to freeze out the Dolphins on way to a tuna factory.  Normally I'm snti tuna fishing  in regards to the actual dolphin mammals but the pro nfl team Dolphins put them on ice and bury them in it.

The best way the bills make the playoffs is through the division hopefully Boyle sparks something for the jets

If the phins lose one of the next four(jets x2, Washington, Tennessee) the bills should be in play for the division come week 18

    Phins finish with cowboys/ravens/bills

The league wants the last games if season to be  games with meaning can't get better than 2 division rovals winner takes all in final game is season.  And I like our chances with Josh and it being at home with Buffalo weather to effect them Florida boys  let them be knocked d own by mother n as ture  Buffalo version.

    Assistant question.

Watching the game on tv and they showed Brady multiple times in the booth along with his assistants.

Seems like some of the people you saw with Dorsey are no longer there.  Wondering who left, if any, and if Brady replaced them with his own.

Most likely yes  but they won't be  announcing current hierarchy to public.  We have no need to know all that goes on when a change is made.  Could also be control freak mcds men if  you believe dome of the opinions on him being a bit of a control freak.  As long as the com between oc a ND Josh gets the wins and fewer  with was that play  its good.

not as many audibles because the first play was a good call against the defense for the play. I always felt that the first play from Dorsey wasn't a fit for the D on the play and Josh always checked out of it because he didn't like what he saw. I am glad Brady put Josh under center more, i think that makes a big difference.

That very well could have been the case.  Brady may be able to pass along the x's and o's bettervthan dorseey did.  Sometimes the mentoring doesn't quite mesh and line up if Allen and Dorsey learn in different ways.  I always was comfortable with numbers so when I would teach someone some basic skills when they where intimidating by computers I'd reassure then that computers just do stupid yes no questions fast  so it appears to be smart but just a dumb tool.

Too bad we are not playing any of those teams.  Instead we have

    Hurts

    Prescott

    Mac maybe

    Tua

thats are tough stretch. We need at least 30 each outing. Will be tough but still alive. Go Bills.

They may indeed need 30+ a game to win versus those qbs. I'll gladly take Josh as the Qb that can get that done.  Against the Jets defense they got the win and dominated ToP, the defense did enough to keep Jets scoreless.  Josh seems to have found the fun again and I don't think that Diggs cares he was held to so few yards, didn't Diggs tweak his back recently in practice?  Could be they deliberately didn't target Diggs as usual if he's nursing a sore back.  Could see him telling the coaches to use him as a decoy to help free up other guys and then Shakir finishing off a nice throw by Allen.  Kincaid is gonna be drawing more coverage now too so If teams leave Gabe open he could easily start catching passes when he's not being jammed.  He's streaky so when it's not clicking Allen can cycle through his options till he finds the right mix against any given opponent.  I hope Knox gets back soon too because as Kincaids getting more targets having Knox and Kincaid both on field Diggs won't have many games where he's shut down for low yardage.

Yup, we can definitely make a run.

With the list of QBs I mentioned, even with our schedule, we have as good of a shot as anyone. We most likely have even a better shot than many of those teams simply because we have JA.

    Go Bills!

You always have a chance when you have Josh Allen.  It's an even higher chance when he has the offense getting production out of whomever is open any given play.  Easy to take what is open when the target finishes the play.  And with the running game producing it kept our defense fresh and able to make the plays as needed late in the game.  The offense didn't panic when the Jets threatened to close the gap they just kept chipping away at the Jets till they broke down under the continuous onslaught.  Allen didn't have to force the deep ball yet he got the longest td pass of the season by using his ability to rifle a pass threw a small window and beating a top corner; though I do think sauce is a tad overrated due to his tendency on holding and that he has gotten away with it  far too often that I don't think he's as talented as others rate him.  Hopefully the league hits him with a hefty fine for his personal foul on Diggs.  I certainly think he's a loose cannon and I could see him cause an injury in Miami if the embarrass him as Allen did.  Tua certainly is capable of embarrassing Sauce.

The bigger record is that Josh just passed Joe Ferguson for 2nd place on the at least 3 TD passes in a game list for a Bills QB.  He's at 23, just 7 behind Jim Kelly.

Chance he can break Kelly's record this year 8f the chips fall right and offense gets its swagger back.  I want him breaking the records of how many different receivers catch a td from Allen in single games.  Who do you focus on 8f everyone is scoring tds?

Thomas has 65. Allen has 45. He’ll get there in prolly 4 years or less

Yea he can get the td record in his current contract.  On smart and timely runs like today he had a few runs that got chunks at opportune times and he did slide rather than take a bigger hit for a few possible yards.

Assuming he continues to be a Bill for another contract after this one. He will be #1 in rushing TDs and #3 in rushing yards in Bills history.

What are the Bills records and record holders for rushing Tds?  I'm guessing it be thurmanator holding the top spot.

I googled both and indeed it's Thurman on both.  Now Allen could break the all time td record even within his current contract.  I'd be more than happy to never see him get close to the all time yardage, unless it's just due to having a long and successful career all while wearing a Bills uniform.

with at least 6 games to go, not sure if playoffs included, phenomenal accomplishment. We're in good hands for a long time fellas

And there's still at least 6 more games to add to that record and if it includes post season would possibly give him up to 10 more games potentially to add to record.

If the Bills win the Super Bowl I would be good if you feel like coaching

Well of course winning makes everything fun.  This team has the talent to win games but it has to be everybody doing their parts.  If they can keep playing complementary football it is very hard to beat the Bills.  In all of the losses this year I really feel the Bills beat themselves more than other team being superior.

Rooting for them to crush it in every game regardless. Let’s see McD’s best possible results.

Not even the most anti McDermott fan will call for his head if the Bills turn around their past shortcoming seasons and win the SB.  They still may not like him as the coach but the results would warrant not messing with what works.  And winning  the SB would work for all Bills fans I'm sure.

Allen and Diggs are, obviously, our two most talented players and it seemed that Dorsey leaned on them.  Other guys made supplemental contributions but the offense relied on Allen-to-Diggs at critical times.

Today we won without Allen-to-Diggs being very effective.  Brady was able to put 32 points on the board against a top D without the key combo working.  I don't think Dorsey could have done that.

I loved seeing Cook, Kincaid, Shakir and others making the offense work.  It turns out we have other weapons.

Don't know if we will ever know what was the problem with Dorsey/Allen.  I think Allen was given a say once he earned his 2nd contract as a proven franchise QB.  So I lean towards Brady maybe not giving Allen as much freedom to audible. And Josh was under center more than we usually seen him under Dorsey or even DaBoll if memory serves.   Didn't seem like Allen audibles as often as it appeared in some of our earlier games.

Never understood this signing in the first place. It's not like they were losing to Chiefs in the playoffs because they couldn't get to Mahomes. The guy was getting rid of the ball so quickly that it didn't matter if you had prime Bruce Smith out there. Should have used that money to help the offense.

I'd have been fine if they got Allen more top talent on offense with speed to really stress any defense.  Even top end oline protection.  They got what they felt they needed with their Miller signing.  I presume they just felt more confident in evaluation of defensive players over the offensive FA's.

He is not 100%.  It takes over 18 months to fully recover.

And why risk a setback in a game that was well in hand.  I never felt the game was in jeopardy at any point if they continued to play as they were.  When will we see a impact from Von we won't know until we see it but I have no doubt he's keeping the young guys motivated.  I wouldn't be surprised if he's a big reason Oliver is playing at and maybe even exceeding his new contract.  Players will listen to a 2 time SB winner and he was the MvP of SB 50.

Nantz and romo sure didn’t do him any favors by letting us know when he was on field. Made it easy to focus in on that he was the only one not getting to the QB. It’s really tough to see. Just so slow and no impact at all. Holding out hope that he will get there…

Actually maybe being talked up and his lack of impact may also just be putting tape out on Von and his lack of impact.  It is not like the defense didn't get the job done with the effort Von did give.  So let opponents feel they don't have to account for Von and when the time and the opponent is right he'll make his impact felt.

I don't believe any IR designation is season ending, there used to be.

Only if player is IR'ed before the first game of season I believe.  To prevent a team from basically taking a potential player off the market from competing teams.

I hope he can ramp up into shape soon. At this point he is just a wasted roster spot. He impacts absolutely nothing in his current form. As another poster mentioned, his sole move seems to be rush extremely wide and get taken completely out of the play.

Could be designed to lull the opponent into playing the same strategy against the younger healthy guys and they will fake wide then cut in freely to the QB.  So there could be some purpose there.

We took Kincaid off the field for multiple plays when Knox wasn't even out there today, I thought it was weird because he's so damn effective but at the same time we were still marching down the field so it was hard to complain.

As well you don't want to overtax a rookie as they typically need to adjust to the more grueling NFL schedules compared to college football.  He did look good on several blocks so that's a good sign  too.  If they can't peg him as a receiving only TE he'll be way more effective as he learns and masters the Bills playbook and even forces some additional plays to be designed once his skillset is where they want it.

I think he was different than the typical ckr commentator we were used to seeing when he first started. He did offer up a lot of knowledge at first and did a real good job breaking things down for a typical fan.

Honestly, over the years he seems to have gotten lazy. Maybe he's not studying film like he used to. Maybe he's spending too much time in the off-season at golf tournaments or those commercials? And didn't he date Jessica Simpson at one point?

Yea he was dating her when he was the starting QB boy wonder in Dallas.  No idea nor any interest how long they lasted.  Don't even know why that even matters on his work.
