  1. I agree that White shouldn't be 95 on this list, but realistically not sure how much higher you can put him based last year (i.e. what have you done for me lately).

One thing that is lost in the great season we had last year was that White wasn't anywhere close elite in most cases. Certainly he had some minor injuries and the lack of pass rush will make even the best secondary look mediorce at times. But a lot of eyes will be watching to White this season in hopes that he looks closer to the player we saw prior to 2020 because if not the big contract extension will look questionable.

  2. The only criticism which has obviously been pointed out is that Allen has only had one good  year in this league and not won a championship yet like Mahomes before he got his mega deal and that's a huge amount of pressure on Allen, Beane and the whole organization frankly to live up to that type of billing because we are essentially saying Allen is a top 3 NFL QB by handing out this type of contract.

I don't see the offense taking a step back...I see them taking a step forward if anything

While I tend to agree injuries or Covid could derail everything especially if heaven forbid our new $250 Million Dollar man had something happen to him.

But aside from that it's hard not seeing this offense be in the top 5 in terms of points, yards, etc.

But getting back to the crux of the defense, if there is one area they obviously have to improve it's sacks and turnovers. I really could care less where they finish in total yards, points as long as we are creating pressure against the likes of Mahomes, Brady, etc.

Levi Wallace cannot die. Seems that no matter who we bring in, he beats them out. He’s an underrated corner and not a liability in any way.

Because we keep scraping the bottom of the barrel and don't bring in real competition other than late round draft picks, UDFA and washed up veterans.

I'm not trying to be overtly negative with Wallace but for all the love this guy is getting just wait until we play the Chiefs again and the cries to replace him will be deafening.

There is a reason we signed him dirt cheap and other teams weren't lining up for his services....

  5. The NFL (and pro sports in general) is all about cycles. And every team goes through it no matter how big/small the market, or previous playoff/championship success.

The issues with the Bills is that it was longer than normal in a parity driven league and at least peronally what was so frustrating is getting very close a few times (specifically the 2004 season losing to the steelers 3rd stringers) and never being able to seal the deal with Bills 90's teams.

But if Allen is truly an elite franchise QB and can take this team where kelly couldn't than not many folks are going to worry or remember the previous 20 years similar to Pats fans pre Bledsoe/Brady.

    Levi is SOLID CB2!!

Where do people come up with this stuff?

I'm not interested in trading for Henderson but I still don't get the love for Wallace.

We can and should do a lot better opposite White and Wallace has proven in big games against elite teams (i.e. Chiefs/Mahomes) he's a major liability on the field.

Also speaking of White, if he were to go down for a significant stretch we instantly become one of the worse secondaries in the league. This is why I have to believe Beane is still plotting something and we'll see a proven veteran added at some point in the next few weeks likely via trade.

Though what it will be, is no surprise to any here; yet still, Feliciano gave us a clue to the Bills offense with his statements. The OG is down 30lbs and said he's been all about conditioning and riding the bike. Feliciano said something like, "We're probably gonna throw 60 or 70 times. So I needed to be fit and fast." He smiled and added, "I'm so fast now, I need to slow down out there."

Jon also said he is as healthy as he has been.

The O-Line is getting ready to run with Josh and buy him time. I am so pumped.

    https://www.buffalobills.com/video/dawson-knox-the-versatility-we-have-is-crazy

Regarding Feliciano's weight loss, I'm actually not sure that's a good thing for a guy who has really only been above average on this best days.

Will reserve final judgement later but still have mild concerns regarding the interior oline as a whole.

We have a lot of solid players all over this roster....cut down day will be really tough and truthfully there will likely be a handful of players at least that deserved to make the roster but simply won't because of the amount of depth and talent we have at almost every position group.  You can only keep so many.

Indeed, there will be a lot of familiar names on other NFL rosters this season probably starting and playing well for their new teams in some cases.

  9. I've covered some Bills ones in another thread, but here's some NFL wide ones I could see:

    - Cowboys run away with NFCE and are legit SB contender.

    - Bengals finish 2nd or 3rd in AFCN and win a WC spot

    - Jacksonville is this years out of nowhere team and wins the AFCS (probably my boldest take but not necessarily far fetched given Indy's current injury situation and I think Tenn is sitll overrated).

    - AZ and Kyler Murray flounder and finish last in the NFCW

    - San Diego emerges as a top WC team and battles with KC all the way to the final week of the season to determine the AFCW division title.

    - TB and Brady start season on a similar trajectory as the 2007 Pats and possibly go undefeated in the regular season but get bounced in their first playoff game.

    - Seattle and Pitt end up with losing records and not making playoffs.

    - KC makes it no farther than divisional round this year.

Coaches retire due to health occasionally.  Tampa Bay's coach is not in good health and may require and there will be a starting QB position available.

And Daboll has seen many coaches from New England flame out when they became head coaches and may not take "Whatever is available".

If you are saying zero chance would you take a bet for 1000-1 odds since it is guaranteed money to you?

That's the whole point, Daboll isn't really going to be in position to decline a job and wait for a situation he perceives as the best fit like the Chargers who passed on him this year despite the relationship Daboll had with their GM.

Also this isn't meant to bash Daboll but it's a well known fact his offenses as an NFL OC have sucked prior to last year coupled with Allens meteroic rise.

I just don't see him passing on an NFL job even if it's a team that ends up being the worst in the league this year with a #1 overall draft pick.

  11. You'd be surprised how much (cheap) Bills gear you can find in other parts of the country.

I've been out in places like Northern CA, Phoenix, Denver and other midwest cities and have seen very nice Bills stuff on clearance racks there.

In fact at a Kohls in Phoenix area last year before the covid lockdowns I found a Josh Allen jersey dirt cheap for my son. This was also before he emerged as a legit franchise QB.

  12. I get the Kumerow love since he's essentially the new Duke Williams (not too mentioned the GB/Rogers endorsement).

But what real playing time is he going to get behind Diggs/Beasely/Sanders/Davis/etc?

He does have the ST factor but what is going to be most critical and given preference for the 5th/6th WR spots is kick return ability which puts him at a disadvantage over several others at the bottom of the depth chart jockeying for a roster spot.

Why on Earth would Daboll take a head coaching job with Mitch Trubisky as his starter? He would be much better off staying in Buffalo with Josh and waiting for a better landing spot.

    What has Trubisky proven?

The Trubisky package deal is just speculation but there's zero chance that Daboll is passing on a head coaching job next year especially if the Bills were to win a SB.

Also I think the idea is that Trubisky would simply be the veteran bridge QB for a top 10 rookie draft pick on any new team Daboll lands that probably won't be very good in 2021 hence the reason they are going to be hiring a new HC in the first place.

I was a customer over a decade and on auto-pay, contract renewal always up late summer. I used this method every year.  As soon as AT&T took over it stopped working for me.

Interesting, haven't had the same experience yet but overall DTV has declined since being owned by ATT which is probably why the rumors are still flying that ATT is trying to offload them especially since many more customers will jump ship once Sunday Ticket is gone. That's the only reason I've stuck with them for some many years.

    I'm thinking sometime next February.

Can you imagine if it was in the SB again shades of Giants/Norwood but this time the kick wins the game...talk about exorcising ever demon imaginable to win this franchise first Lombardi.

Either way having a great clutch kicker is something that is overlooked, most people probably know this but without Adam Vinateri Brady and Belichik certainly don't have as many rings considering how close their SB wins were during the 2001 - 2004 run.

Yeah, one of only a few blemishes so far for Beane, but I think he was feeling kind of desperate for help at WR.  Who did we have at that point?  Zay Jones, Jordon Matthews and Deonte Thompson if I'm remembering right.  Pretty slim pickings.

True, it was simply calculated risk to help this team get to the playoffs when we got off to a 5-2 start with a team that both Beane and McD already admitted didn't think was that good.

Ironically Benjamin seemed to play well when Peterman was throwing the ball to him (when he wasn't throwing picks off course).

Unless the FO wants to see a lot of $$$ on the floor.....Addison stays.  Cap hit is just too large.  I always thought they kept 8 OL bodies.  Then get one from either PS or towards the end of the season a street guy if needed due to injuries....I agree on Zimmer.

I don't understand the restructures they gave guys like Latulei, Addison and Butler other than out of 'Blind carolina loyalty' but I still have a hard time seeing any of these guys making the team especially if there are simply better, younger and cheaper options on the team.

Either way I think some fans are reading too much into the cap hits and dead money if we do dump all or any of them and don't think that will stop Beane from doing just that if need be.
