  1. We smoked them earlier this year, but TJ Watt makes me nervous. That guy changes games. Luckily their offense is trash.
  2. I think we could beat New England with our backups if it comes to that. Reminds me of Barkley shredding the Dolphins for a half a couple years ago when they had a win-and-in game.
  3. Is he the ankle taper everybody was giving so much grief?
  4. They’ve done this sort of thing before. The offense takes a delay of game and the defense declines the penalty. I mean, they could have at least waited until next week. Maybe some players want to talk to the media.
  5. Considering the Bills are currently #1 seed in the AFC with all the adversity they have faced I don’t think it would be a pity vote. Part of McDermott’s problem is too much sustained success. COTY seems to always go to someone who surprised everyone by succeeding with a middling roster. Bellicheat would have won it like 10 years in a row otherwise.
  6. Sometimes getting back to work and your regular routine can be helpful. Of course, it is different between individuals.
  7. If it isn’t going to be played, just flip a coin and be done with it. You can weight the coin slightly if we want to give the Bengals a small advantage since they were winning. Call the game a 2-0 victory and move on.
  8. My kids won’t play (or at least I will try my best to steer them in another direction). Not because of the Hamlin incident though. I’m more worried about concussions and head injuries. I’m hoping they are more into soccer or baseball. I know every youth sport has injuries, but football seems to really mess people up.
  9. They could move around the playoff games, but I doubt they would want to do that.
  10. It’s possible they did and the team or NFLPA pushed back. Pure speculation and we’ll never know for sure.
  11. Well we aren’t the players, right? We’re fans on a message board for discussing football. And I am guessing the thought has at least crossed the minds of some players since it directly impacts what their next month of work looks like.
  12. I think the trauma of watching him receive CPR/AED and possible intubation on the field is a big part of it.
  13. I’m wondering if these guys will be able to play the Pats this weekend? I could see that game getting pushed out to Tuesday to give everybody more time. The college football national championship is on Monday. I mean, these games are on top of each other and they will have practice tomorrow I think for the next week if it were normal circumstances.
  14. Chiefs barely beat the hapless Broncos last week. Russ had the chance for a game winning drive at the end of the game. They aren’t unbeatable. I have to imagine this game will never be played now that it won’t be played this week. I guess it will be a no contest and playoff seeding will go by win percentage.
  15. I think the Bills forfeiting is the best in that scenario, because if KC and CIN lose next week, then the Bills can still be #1 seed.
  16. If all the doctors commenting in threads and on twitter are correct we won’t really know anything until they try to take him off the ventilator which is 24-48 hours. I guess we could get updates if he needs surgery of some sort.
  17. The league will offer the Bills another date to resume the game and it will be up to the Bills to forfeit or play IMO. Other solutions require too many other moving parts.
  18. I mean probably the owners? This is a business and the owners will have to decide amongst themselves along with the NFLPA how to handle it. I doubt screwing 2 owners will be palatable. Not to mention the Pegulas would have to come up with some sort of refund for the whole game.
  19. That would make the Dolphins and Steelers pissed. Pats win and they are in.
  20. That’s wild. There will absolutely be games this weekend regardless of Hamlin’s status. I’m not trying to be callous, that’s just the way it goes.
  21. The Bills didn’t have lodging in Cincinnati. They had to fly home. Why would they stay 2 nights there anyway if it were moved to Wed night? I’m not advocating for it, I just think that is what the NFL is going to push the teams to do.
  22. I think the NFL will do everything in its power to have this game played Wed night. Then they would push Bills-Pats and Ravens-Bengals to Monday. I guess it will depend on if the players/coaches feel able to play by then. We won’t know about Hamlin’s status by then I don’t think.
  23. I think the easy explanation is that their flight doesn’t leave until 1:30am and they don’t have anywhere else to go. Just have to wait for the bus to take them to the airport.
  24. If it is true that he is actually okay and the players can feel assured in that, I wonder if they do the game tomorrow. It would have to be remarkably good news from the hospital to be possible.
  25. This honestly might sink the whole season. Those guys looked straight up traumatized out there. It will be hard to perform at a high level, and I don’t blame them if that ends up being the case.
