post game interviews: they know they should have killed them...but winning by 10 points ain't too bad.
Agreed. I just think we're at risk of giving too much credit to the Packers.

You are making incorrect assumptions. The coach never said that. The Bills were the superior team but I give GB lots of credit for not giving up and fighting. They made a game out of it when they should have lost by 30 points.
The Packers didn't really have to do anything to stay in the game though. We allowed them to hang around.

A win by 10 and it sounds like McDerrmott is almost trying to pick them up from the loss. Think the players are as annoyed with the game as (some of) the fans are, which is good as it means they shouldn't rest of their laurels.

And then they won 4 straight to finish.
Don't forget that part.
But yeah you are right in that they didn't come out strong post bye last year.
I'm hoping they learned their lesson.
True, four wins to finish the regular season off last year, all by double digit scores.
I'm thankful the Jets are without Hall next week but we need to smarten up. Hopefully today will act as a warning against sloppiness.

Not like PB, JV, Indy or NE at all as Allen led the Bills Offense to 24 first half points. The 2nd half was weird and that includes Allen being off. But Allen led the Bills on 3 straight TD drives and then drove them 60 yards right before half for a FG to take a commanding 24 - 7 halftime lead.
The season is long. Look at the mini slumps the last 3 Super Bowl winners went threw during those seasons. The Bills and Allen had a 2nd half slump in a game they led 27 - 10 halfway through the 4th quarter. The only impact this game will have on the rest of the season is that the Bills got a win and hold onto first place in their division and the AFC.
No, the second half Josh was like him in those games last season. In the first half, he seemed to be in his groove as he has been for the year so far.
Agree with the rest.

Last year was last year. I don't see that happening with Von here this year.
I don't think Von has much impact on offense! And we only conceded nine back then.
Course not saying this year is the same as last year, but we hardly hit our straps after the bye in 2021 - our record was WLWLWLL. In 2020 we had a much later bye and won all six after it.

Post bye week victory that was similar to the last 2 years...they are back to their normal routine now for the rest of the year. Let's ride.
The Game That Can't Be Named actually followed the Miami win out of the bye last year.

People in the game thread are usually crazy so there is that. Allen had a rough 2nd half - it happens. And when you talk about regular season "2021" are you talking about Allen's games against Washington, TN, Houston, KC, NE, NO, NYJ and others?
This game reminded me of the Tampa Bay game last year but the half's were reversed. In last years game Allen was off in the 1st half but tore it up in the 2nd half. Tonight Allen tore it up in the first half and was off in the 2nd half.
More like Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Indianapolis and New England (OK, wind game).
You are right with the second point. Guess it always feels better if the poor performance comes first then improvement follows and that's the memory, rather than good to start with before fading.

Are Bills fans quickly becoming spoiled? Don’t score on every drive, don’t put up 40 points... and everyone is unhappy because the win was inly by 10pts and just not as good as it should be. Wtf. We won, easily. Enjoy it.
The Packers heard all week how bad they were and how the Bills were going to steamroll them. They took it personally and came out and playing for their season and pride. Bills still easily beat them despite it all.
Enjoy the season!
The Packers weren't good enough to make us look poor; we made ourselves look poor.

Think Milano almost faceplanted when walking into the press conference!

Allen had a fine 2021 season. He had a couple of stinker games but what QB doesn't?
People in the game thread were comparing that second half performance to 2020 Josh but I thought he was better in 2020 than the 2021 regular season.

It means if Allen plays like that against better competition, it's probably not a win.
I don't think he will though. He seemed to completely lose focus; against a team with more threat I don't think he would do so.

There had to be a huge miscommunication on that second pick…it’ll be interesting to hear him explain that one
Said in the press conference he was trying to throw it away.

Also a lot of you wanted a Run First Bills offense. You got it. How did you like it????
It was predominantly run first in the first half and it worked quite nicely. When we switched to the passing game, everything went south.

He still will be - he wasn’t great but we won and he made some great plays
It was like Jekyl and Hyde - 2022 Josh in the first half, 2021 regular season Josh in the second.

I missed the interview. Please link us you find it.
Not sure how long it will be until it's uploaded somewhere.

Josh was unimpressive in the second half but that interview was impressive.

If told after the schedule came out we’d be 6-1 and the one seed in the AFC after 7 games including a win at KC and Allen is the front runner by a mile for MVP yea……
One week at a time.
Would be surprised if he's the front runner by a mile now.

... Oh well, he'll have to make up for it against the Jets.

Josh went from good to dreadful.
Run defense was, for the most part, awful.
Dorsey forgot to run the ball in the second half.
We won by 10.

Definitely not Josh this week.
Offense: Cook, Diggs and Singletary
Defense: Settle, Milano and maybe Oliver

If both teams play at their best we win. If we play like we did in the second half tonight we lose.
