They like having a blocking tight end and none of who they have is better at it than Smith.  He’s not expensive.  Don’t count on him getting let go.

unless something goes down Lee Smith is back next year. He’s not that expensive and does his job extremely well. He’s also good for at least 1-2 hilariously open TDs because no one thinks to cover him.

Personally I think they are highly motivated and have a bone to pick with KC. On The Buffalo Beat podcast, Joe Buscaglia and Matthew Fairburn mentioned that a lot of the Bills feed off of being the underdog to a “sickening” degree even when they truly aren’t the underdog. I feel they will be laser focused for this game simply because they will most likely be written off by the national media as not capable of winning against KC.

Agree, they've got an axe to grind with KC. That team handed Bills a demoralizing loss where the offense left points on the field and the defense couldn't get off the field on 3rd down. Bills are coming off two wins, won in different ways and showed the team that it is not just all on Allen, or the offense, or the defense. Allen carried the team against the Colts, the defense showed up against the Ravens. In both games the team willed itself to find a way to win.

It feels like the Bills are gritty and battle tested from these last two games. I think they'll be ready.

Ehhh, not so much.   He will admit to being from Kenmore, and a Ken West grad, but he far from a huge Bills fan.  Seeing him in conversations with Russert, he is a casual fan at best.

I think by this boards standards 99.9% of the Bills fan base could be considered “casual” 😂

    Not a concussion.

    No hit to the head.

As i said in an earlier post when it happened that it looks like he had his neck turned to constrict circulation.

That happens to me on occasion where i turn my head to much to left or right and I basically black out and when i come back my body is like wtf is happpening and I am a bit out of it/dizzy

I am legitimately confused as to how you’re constructed anatomically that turning your head too much in one direction causes you to lose consciousness.

  5. Always appreciate these write ups Virgil.

The pick 6 has “NFL Turning Point of the week” written all over it.

Poyer made sure Brown, the only legitimate speed threat to catch Taron other than Jackson, was eliminated from the play. What a heads up play by Poyer.

And how the he// did Justin Zimmer almost beat Taron to the EZ?

It has to be something that’s trained and drilled big time by the defense. As soon as TJ picked off the pass the entire defense in unison just “engaged countermeasures”

Zimmer is fast AF for an interior DL. Plays pretty light too, at least he looks that way. Bills DL seems to prioritize speed/hustle over size.

  6. We played them at their game. Got their offense stuck in the mud and made the knockout punch on defense.

I was entertained as hell. I love gritty games. This was gritty.

We were neutralized by a very good defense but got a touchdown drive when they couldn’t get one. Their offense had no answer to our defensive game plan. Special teams was basically a wash with missed kicks and short punts.

These kind of postseason wins put hair on chest and give you confidence that we’re a team that can lean on all our phases for the win.

If he is that good would not another team claim him?

I am surprised another team hasn't claimed him if just to force Bills to use a slot for him.

Because he isn’t. He’s your Pierre Desir type CB. He makes plays, but for every plays he makes there’s 3-4 plays where he gets burned badly.

I love his fire, but it needs tempering and refining.

Yeah - for all the people saying wind won't be an issue bc of Josh's strong arm - on long balls it doesn't make any difference how strong your arm is - once it's way up in the air it's going to get blown all over the place.   Will make us much less multi-dimensinal if the long ball is taken away by the weather.

yeah it’ll affect the shot plays where you need to loft a rainbow over the DB’s head if the receiver gets a step. That’s just one of Allen’s ‘deep’ balls though. People forget he can basically throw 30-40 yard lasers on a rope down the field with pretty flat trajectory. Those will be just fine.
