the most important question probability wise is how much more likely the chiefs are to win out than us though I’d say.  They’re more likely to do it but I don’t think it’s by an overwhelmingly huge margin

The Bengals have a good shot at the 1 seed if they win out as well.  It's not just a two-team race

As for the spread being high, considering that it was 10.5 at the Jets and now the game is in Buffalo, the oddsmakers have already made a big adjustment.  I certainly wouldn't run to bet the Jets at 9.5 in Buffalo.

I agreed with the first 2 sentences at -7.5 (though I personally cant bet against buff, even on a spread), not at -3.5 it'd be too close for me to touch with all the injuries.

once Josh is announced out, it will cross 3 to 2.5 (at least), so 3.5 is still worth an investment just to try to middle this thing.  of course, the best middle opportunity was to have gotten it at 7.5 at the beginning of the week.

  3. 2020 wasn't the year, as others have mentioned.  That was the "taking our lumps in the playoffs" year against the conference bully.  KC was better and more prepared and experienced.

2021 was the year.  We had taken our lumps already the previous year, played a great game against the bully and was about to know them out.  Then our coaches screwed up 13 seconds.

  4. I don't know if the oddsmakers' Super Bowl favorite (which we still are) will be falling out of the spotlight anytime soon, but it's pathetic for Bills fans to yearn for fawning national media coverage anyway.  Or to slurp up any morsel that is given to them.  Remember when SNL made a skit about Jets Fans, not about the Bills who were only incidental to the skit, and everyone was so happy and praised the obnoxious SNL skit? "We've made the big time!" - lol

Overreaction Sunday? Can’t we wait until Monday? Some of the worst takes the last two weeks, especially for a team with two losses.

The board is more readable now that it's been injected by some realism.  A couple weeks ago, anyone was a bad fan basically if we didn't think this team was a GOAT contender.

We're a very good team with a couple of obvious weaknesses like O-line that disqualify us from GOAT contention. but we can still be the best team in the NFL if the defense gets/stays healthy.  This was true a couple weeks ago.  It is true now.

I just think it's a bit lame using female based stuff in a derogatory way. Nothing personal at all. If I rolled up and this dude needed help changing a flat tire, I'd laugh, take a pic, and drive on. That's all. But I get it. Didn't mean to sound as aggressive as it did.

How much money do you spend on OnlyFans a month?  C'mon, let us know.  Is it over $100?  Don't tell me it's over $200, right?

But the house is not trying to bet on either team they are doing this strictly to get even bets on both sides. that's what the other poster was saying.

That's often true but for the books like Circa and Fanduel that hire a lot of analytics talent, they will often have opinions and back them.  Afterall, it's fairly easy to collect customer data (especially for the online books), and if you show that almost all your sharps are backing one side and the public is on the other side ("Pros vs Joes" scenario), why not bet with the sharps?

I usually just ignore your posts, but I have to ask why did you put his name in quotes? What is this supposed to mean?

It smells political to me.  OP has his panties in a wad that we refer to our white star player by his first name but our black star players we still refer to as Diggs, Milano, etc.  But OP is dumb because we do also say Von so it's not really a racial thing.

No, there are still fans on here that think the Bills can't beat the Chiefs in the playoffs.  Those same fans probably wont believe we will win the super bowl if we get there no matter who the opponent is.

and what percentage of the forum are those fans?  1%?  2%?

we have to stop getting frustrated that not literally every Bills fan, opposing fan, or pundit will bow down at the sight of our mighty Bills.

  10. Even before this week, the Bills were considered the best team by both fans and pundits (just not literally every fan and pundit).  We really can't play the disrespect card this season, not to mention the disrespect card is gay.

Certain fans on this site:  "I'll believe it when I see it."

Yes, and that was obviously in reference to a debate about whether the Bills are an all-time great team (after playing three recent games that were tossups), not whether the Bills are an excellent team this year especially when healthy.  Why do you lie?

The majority of metrics say we are an all-time great team, or at least have the chance to be one if they continue at this pace.

I guess we'll see.  Perhaps the stats say that, but my eye test says the Bills recently played three games that could've gone either way against Mia, Bal, and KC, and thankfully we came away 2-1.  I'm not knocking those wins, and in fact, I love that our team is getting close-game experience and coming through with Ws finally; that experience will help during a playoff run.  But I just don't see some GOAT / ATG-contending team yet.

Maybe the bye and getting Tre White back and overall getting reasonably healthy will launch us into a new stratosphere.  I would love to root for a GOAT / ATG team, but I'll have to see it to believe it.

Maybe we are, maybe we're not. I'm not here to decide for you, but let's take a look at some facts, as for Geno Allen crushes his stats so why would he be considered the best QB? Anyways let's take a look at some stats and facts...

     Offense:

     Yards per game - #1

     Points per game - #2

    Defense:

     Yards allowed per game: #2

     Points allowed per game: T-#1

     Takeaways - T-#1

You write as if this is a coin-flip situation.  Maybe tomorrow is nuclear Armageddon, maybe it's not :-)

The fact is the odds are extremely against any team becoming one of the GOATs.  While it's not literally impossible, I find it unlikely that a team with our offensive line and our banged up defense ends up being a GOAT-type team.  If Mahomes takes advantage of our banged-up secondary like Pickett sometimes did, we're a 4-2 team as of Sunday.

Again, I'm very confident in this team and believe we have the best team if the defense can get reasonably healthy and gels.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that I’m trying to remember when the Super Bowl bills were in the top three on both offense and defense

As fans we like to point out the negatives of our team that’s going to happen I get that but overall the bills are extremely good Josh Allen looks like not just an MVP caliber quarterback but if he continues his trajectory a Hall of Famer

Josh can be a Hall of Famer without this being one of the best teams of all time.  I would think our OL eliminates us from that conversation, and let's see if the D can get healthy enough to realize their potential.  With decent health, the Bills look to be the best team in football this year, and that's more than enough for me.  Just win the Super Bowl please so we can have this debate in February.

People should really look into this more.  Just going by the metrics, I would make KC a +8 on this game.  The Bills are destroying long standing measurables on all-time great teams.  It's an undeniable fact.  Whether that holds up over the course of a season remains to be seen but as far as "right now" goes...Bills should handedly beat the Chiefs.

I adjusted the spread on my Caeser's bet to Bills -8.  I hope it works out, but I am simply looking at the metrics for both teams and at face value it's a no brainer.

It's just small-sample size, guys.  I love our team but we're not some all-time great team.  Likewise, Geno Smith isn't the best QB in the NFL.

Spread back to 2.5 in most places now, as expected. And I could see it going lower as some sharps continue to relish getting KC as a home dog.

If the Chiefs have a tough time with the Raiders, win or lose, bettors are going to hammer the Bills…probably drive this line to  Bills -3.5.

This game has zero chance of crossing 3 (!) or even touching 3 (except I suppose for a very brief moment at some rogue book, which is possible before it gets pushed back to 2.5).

Frankly you'll see some sharp money on KC as a home underdog later in the week with the Bills closing as -1 or pk.  These sharps will lose money because the Bills will win (I think) but most likely there will be more sharps on KC than Buffalo.

    Two things:

    (1) Don't worry about any Steelers "tactic" from Week 1 of last year.  Pittsburgh is notorious for running a real training camp with real hitting and so they are always more prepared to play football in Week 1 than their opponent, unless they too run a real training camp.

    (2) Re: the point spread, anyone afraid of 14 is actually being square.  You might think the "sharp" play is to take all those underdog points but then you're forgetting that the Bills love to blowout bad teams and sometimes good teams we match up well against.  Our weakness has been, until last week, clutch execution in tight games.  But don't stress the 14 lol.

Another thing too is the very name of the league. Would it still be the NATIONAL football league? Or do we change it to International Football League (IFL) or Major League Football (MLF).

i know that to many it may be semantics, but words matter and with teams overseas its no longer a national league. Does the brand change? Is that a good thing? I dont want that.

in short, I simply feel the NFL is trying to squeeze a square peg in a round hole.

Yeh i get that but the game continues.

Globalist Football League.  Satan's Plan Football League.

Jokes aside, don't the Euros have much stricter vaxx mandates?  That alone would scuttle this.  The NFL has smartly not investigated how rampant fake vaxx cards are, but that wouldn't fly with the Euros.
