We like to buy our cars used and make them last forever. It's a habit that allows us to invest in other things with long term gains, like real estate. We finally got rid of our 2004 Optima this year, so our oldest vehicle now is a 2009 which still runs great. I suppose if I were in the market for a new car it would be a problem. But you should only buy a new car if you can afford it, and think that it would really add some extra value to your life. Some people are 'car people' and really enjoy their new cars. There's nothing wrong with that if it fits your budget!

It was great watching the splashdown and the astronauts' return! Also there was a merry pod of dolphins frolicking around the operation. (no Tua sighting, though!) There was a hilarious remark on Fox News on it, something like (former astronaut and Dem Senator) "Mark Kelly probably wants to 'key' the capsule!" lol. Kelly wasn't happy about our 'cooperation with the Russians' or Musk getting credit for 'rescue.' He sounded butthurt over the whole thing actually. But he made a big deal recently about trading in his Tesla for a gas-guzzling SUV. Great stuff!

Actually I'm having some Kamala-style Joy over the thought of the pardons potentially being declared null and void. Should be entertaining to see how it plays out!

I doubt Obama, Trump or Biden knew anything about the funding directed overseas for research that was prohibited in the U.S. It seems they hid the true nature of what was going on with some fancy paperwork. Fauci seems directly involved though. I wouldn't necessarily trust Birx either, she seems shady.

The most likely answer is deranged TDS liberals in those departments doing this. Just like how they paint their own swastikas on their houses, see nooses in every garage, and get attacked by white people in MAGA hats when they're just trying to buy a sandwich after hours in Chicago.

Sure it makes the Chinese look bad for letting it escape, but WE HELPED FUND IT. Because it was illegal to fund it over here in this country because such research is too dangerous! You'd think that would make people pretty "upset!" After all, hundreds of thousands DIED. Many people died alone, weddings were canceled, schooling lost, educational setbacks, businesses closed to never reopen. I don't see the outrage, though, except in isolated places. OUR GOVERNMENT DID THIS TO US. By funding "gain of function research" that was illegal to perform in the States, so got pushed overseas. (would love to see what's being funded in Ukraine's biolabs) We need more answers from Fauci.

Ultimately we'll have to determine if Biden had the capacity to do much of anything while president.

Unfortunately I think we're going to have to go back to square one on this topic, primarily due to the duplicity of Big Pharma, which didn't do its due diligence on this issue. (with obvious monetary motivation) I think parents should be free to get them (or not) for their children, but they should NOT be compelled. Currently the odds of a child being diagnosed with autism in the U.S. is one in 36. Back in the day, kids would get measles and most lived. (you would want to err on the side of caution if your child was immune compromised or had other health issues) I think they need to legitimately explore the vaccines/autism link (if there is one), and do so without the pressure of Big Pharma with its thumb on the scale.
