    I like the crew.

Ian is one of the best in the biz and Charles is a really solid analyst.

Does it not bother you that a guy named Ian pronounces his name as "eye-an"?

I can't get over it. I was kinda hoping for Kenny Albert as I associate his voice with the 2015 Blue Jays and that magical series against the Rangers.

You Spring Chicken you.  I'd love to be 43 again.

Correct.  My personal take: Diggs will play.  He's in pain but functional and can/will use pain management.

Beasley probably intends to play but really shouldn't and physically probably can't do a lot of the explosive things that make him great, and the coaches are going to have to make a difficult decision whether a hindered Beasley is better than their alternatives.  I think McKenzie made a strong case for being able to hold down the #3 as long as Diggs and Brown can go and Davis is plainly feeling feisty.

    Stills is also an option.

If we played along with the idea it is possible (it isn't) I think there are only 6 possibly 7 teams in the NFL who wouldn't be at least interested in doing their due dilligence:

Kansas City and Buffalo - the only two teams in the NFL with QBs under 30 who have played at a level above Watson.

Seattle - Russ is 32 and has slowed down the stretch for two seasons in a row now but he is Seattle's best ever player. He is the franchise. They are in for the long haul.

Green Bay - this one might be more controversial given Aaron is getting up there in age, but the Packers spent a 1st on their QB of the future last April. They are not admitting a mistake on that without seeing the guy on the field. They might regret it.

LAC - Herbert had a great rookie year and is under cost control for the next 4 years.

Bengals - similar to the above. Burrow wasn't quite as dynamic as Herbert and has had the ACL but Cincy are staying the course.

They are the 6.... the 7th possible is Jacksonville because they sit with a chance to take a generational prospect. I think they likely stand pat and pick Lawrence though I suspect you would at least think about the proven commodity.

That leaves 25 teams who would be at the very least interested in exploring Watson if he was available.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Dolphins used the Texans' pick in part to get Deshaun Watson?

    Getting closer ...

... so who's the last true elite QB in his prime (let's say "still in his 20s") to get traded? It has to have happened.

There was this way back when (I only thought about Roman Gabriel because I just mentioned him in the "most physically gifted QB ever" thread)

    https://fs64sports.blogspot.com/2013/06/1973-eagles-pay-heavy-price-in-trade.html

But Gabriel was already 32 and a bit past his prime.

Drew Bledsoe? He barely hits your age cut off. Maybe he wasn't top tier elite but he was still really good.

I think if we “back up the brinks truck” for him to show that we acknowledge his skills/talent it could blunt the draw of a HC position.

I have also heard that him and JA are like BFFs and that has to count for something.

I think being a part of a potentially historic team is better than a potential HC position where we can potentially fall on his face when he doesn’t have a transcendent QB.

Problem is, Jax and LA would both have that kind of QB.

True, but if Vegas knows something I'm sure the Bills intel would too. Maybe Vegas is just guessing as of now. Who knows. Seems like an awfully telling spread though.

Vegas doesn't guess. Vegas reacts to money, and people are throwing money on Miami, likely assuming that the Bills will be resting their starters. The fact that the Steelers have said Rudolph is starting likely made people think Barkley starting is more likely.
