The Titans are a team on the rise and I'll go out on a limb that it will be them and the Bills fighting for the number 1 spot. The NFL is an unpredictable beast and I just don't see the Chiefs as front runner anymore. They were exposed badly by Tampa. Not only that, they have to break in 2 new tackles and you better believe that Frazier w/ an upgraded D-Line is going to send the house. After 2 Superbowl appearances, the odds are stacked against them to make a 3rd one. In fact, only 3 teams have made 3 or more in a row (Bills, Patriots, Dolphins.)

    1) Bills

    2) Titans

    3) Chiefs

    4) Browns

    5) Ravens

Titans' defense still sucks. I'll take the Chiefs and Browns, maybe even the Ravens, over them easily.

I still don't get how it is possible to be scouted by hundreds of people, getting picked in top 10 and then flame out like this. I know it happens all the time and that there are many variables in ones NFL career but I still find it bizarre.

Only conclusion I can come to is that the mental makeup of a QB is grossly undervalued. The distinction between Rosen's feeling of entitlement and Allen's desire to work for everything he has is such a stark difference. This was what made Brady great, too. Even now at his age, during the SB for whatever reason, Tyrann Mathieu did something to annoy Brady and he responded by telling him he's going to throw in his direction before proceeding to do it several times. It's pretty funny that he still has the chip on his shoulder after all this time.

So many have done the exact same thing (coming back to a camp in a last ditch effort to play). What's different about this that people haven't seen before? Unless you're talking about his whole football career....

What's different about Tebow? Star college QB -> poor NFL starter who had a magical run -> left football to try to make it in baseball and started at the very bottom. Advanced to AA? Ultimately didn't make it. -> tries to return to the NFL as Taysom Hill on the wrong side of 30.

Please tell me where you've seen this before, because I haven't.

If they are so invincible, how the hell did eight teams--including the Panthers and Falcons--come within a touchdown of beating them? Not to mention the two teams that did beat them, by 12 and 17 points in the regular season. And then they lost the Super Bowl by 22 points.

The Falcons missed a game tying FG at the end of the game, too, where Koo is almost automatic.

FYI on McDermott’s comments on Dawkins since the other thread was closed - it was not a motivational shot across the bow to get vaccinated as many surmised. I was listening to the Buffalo fanatics podcast and they said matter of factly that according to Dawkins, he is vaccinated (not sure if he said that publically, or to them directly, I think he’s been on their podcast in the past). Then I saw Muki Hawkins tweet that Dawkins was one of the first to get vaccinated … he just had more symptoms than ike.

So McDermott clearly thinks Dion is well behind where he needs to be and wasn't just trying to send a message.  Not great news but good to see him back in team drills yesterday and there is some time left for him to catch up.

Wild speculation being dead wrong? Imagine my shock.

Fire up Mark Andrews in fantasy (again)

Baltimore is the Bermuda Triangle of WRs

I almost wonder if it's on purpose so that Ravens fans can complain about Lamar's lack of weapons in perpetuity. That way, they can always say "Josh Allen blah blah Diggs, blah blah imagine if Lamar had Diggs." I actually have imagined that. It involves a miserable Stefon Diggs getting like 600 yards per season.

I actually kind of hope we lose to KC again in the regular season. Keep them complacent so that we can take them by surprise in the playoffs.

Obviously, a win in the regular season against them would be huge, though.

Ehhh I dunno. That would likely lead to KC getting the #1 seed and home field. They weren't complacent last time so I don't see them changing that.

I don't think it is as crazy as it sounds - though Allen and Diggs should both be minimum top 20 and White is definitely too low. The Bills are so good because they have above average starters at almost every spot and stars at 3 spots. Positions where the Bills had below average starters in 2020 basically boils down to tight end, 1 tech and arguably guard opposite Feliciano although I'd argue Ike once he got in did play at about a league average level. I repeat what I said above.... there are only three Bills I'd definitely say belong top 100, a couple more who I'd have right on the brink. I think there probably are legitimately half a dozen teams who have a legit claim to more top 100 players than the Bills but there might not be more than 1 or 2 who could claim more top 200 players. The Bills have lots of those proven starters I'd class as "very good, not elite" the likes of Williams, Morse, Dawkins, Poyer, Hyde, Edmunds, Beasley, Milano, Hughes....

Imo Poyer, Beasley, White, Diggs and Allen belong. Poyer is one of the most underrated players in the entire league.

Right but I mean the basic level of effort to just look at pictures of all the players and at least make sure you're within the ballpark on skin tone, I mean come on.

I loved BioWare games. Then EA acquired them. Now all of the people who made that company left. Same thing with Maxis. EA doesn't care about making good games, they care about capturing exclusivity deals for good IPs (like Star Wars, for example) and then making minimum (and below minimum, as seen above) effort games just to milk the market of people who are fans of that franchise. They are a cancer on the gaming industry.

Then the first really good Star Wars game published by EA came in the wake of them losing their exclusivity to the Star Wars license.

    Man they're ***** Lazy.

Wouldn't you be? Push out some not even half assed product every year, almost entirely based on when you released the previous year, and then rake in millions from sales and MTs. People keep buying it, so why would they change?

Kinda reminds me of the CPU market where Intel was king for so long that they got complacent and just released a bunch of rehashed stuff under different names until Ryzen came around. Competition brings out the best in everyone. Exclusivity deals suck.

If our defense is a top 5 unit this season like it was prior to last year, and we have last year's offense to go with it this year, then get ready ladies and gents because the Lombardi is finally coming home where it belongs.

I feel like the people who are downplaying Buffalo's defense are in for a bit of a surprise. I've seen a lot of people put it in the average to mediocre pile.

My wife can attest to this as well.  She got hit with it in October 2020 and she still isn’t 100%.  She works out most days and is in generally good shape and health, but it’s still been a rough road back for her with exhaustion.  She still has issues with smelling too.

There are lots of very vocal anti-vaxers who died for their mistake.

I hope he gets well.  My sister is dealing with post-virus side effects for months.

My mom is against the vaccine and is in her mid 60’s been begging her to take the vaccine and she refuses to and has given me no reason. Very frustrating.

What do any of these posts have to do with the Bills? Not really the place to be role playing as a vaccine salesperson.

Geez this list so far (100-71) is really bad. Worse than the popularity contest that is the pro bowl. Mad about Tre? lattimore is 9 spots ahead of him, at 86. That’s ridiculous.

it’s about 70 spots too low

There's a reason most players end up being terrible GMs.

Bobby Hart didn't play well Friday but until the coaching staff trusts Brown and Doyle in pass protection, he isn't going anywhere. I believe we'll sign a better veteran OT after the next round of cuts. Maybe we can swap a wr or de for a decent backup. I feel like Doyle will get a mysterious injury after the 3rd preseason game and get stashed on IR.

I'd trust a pylon to be better in pass pro than Bobby Hart and I am not sure if I'm joking.

I don't see the point of him remaining on this team. He's terrible. He's a liability. Most importantly, I don't really want Webb or Trubisky getting injured because Bobby Turnstile just let an edge blow by him with no resistance.

Wow hadn't heard that till now, looked it up abd and yep, what a moron. Going vegan did wonders for Kaep when he lost a chit ton of muscle and transformed into a bone factory, and couldn't stay healthy.

I would avoid drafting a guy over that. What a dumb dumb dumb move to start your career

Apparently JK Dobbins is also going vegan.

I'm more bitter about this than I should be because it derailed Josh Donaldson's career as a Blue Jay. He had constant calf injuries and could never fully recover, all after he started dating a militant vegan. There was a Joe Rogan podcast about it and they couldn't come up with a single top tier vegan athlete.

Hmm. Yea I wonder if this "he is a long way away" is partly McDermott sending a message to the team to say if you are unvacced and you get it then you do not gey your spot back automatically. You have to earn it back. Am I mad to think that is what could be behind this?

You sure mined a lot out of a small quote. I'm pretty sure Dion has his spot secured. I'm also pretty sure that even vaccinated people can have bad bouts of Covid, so leaping to that is divisive and unhelpful. It would be better if people said "I don't know what the deal is" because they don't.
