  1. Redsox fans should be thinking the same way about last night. Sure the Yankees choked when they had a chance to end it in Game 4, but if I were a Sox fan I would hate to say that the Yanks choked in Games 5 through 7 because that diminishes what the Sox really accomplished. The truth of the matter last night was that the Yanks didn't choke in games 5 through 7, the simple fact was that they were just outplayed.
  2. Great point. It's one of the shames of all professional sports. Just like the Superbowl. What is the breakdown of real fans compaired to people there just to be "social"?
  3. I'm not going to defend what happened at The Stadium. I said it when it happened that it made me ashamed to be a Yankee fan for a moment. But in Fenway they were throwing EVERY ball, even foul balls onto the playing field. It was annoying. And they were only doing it when they were losing. So, each team's fans are guilty
  4. Come on vince, I love ya, but the Sox fans were throwing stuff on the field every game at Fenway. But let's not lump all us Yankee fans together. Some of us indeed have class
  5. Well I doe for one am just grateful that this game is not being played in Boston. Otherwise we would have to put up with Fox showing thier praying fans every five seconds... WOW, did Damon just hit another one? Just Craptacular.
  6. Man I hope so. I need to go out to the barn I think
  7. Either way, I think this very well could be the year for the Sox. I said it during the Twins series and I will stand by it now even though I am sick to my stomach ( ): If the Yanks don't make it to the WS (which it appears they won't), then I will root for the Sox...albeit quietly. I'm not jumping ship by any means I just think it's their time. Plus, once that happens we never have to hear about 1918 or the Curse again. Also the Yanks will still have over 20 more titles than the Sox. So it doesn't hurt the ego that much to let 'em have one lol.
  8. This sucks as a Yankee fan. But I offer my congrats to the Redsox fans. Great comeback. Good luck vs St.Louis.
  9. I don't agree. Certainly this was a tremendous comeback by the Sox and a terrible collapse by the Yanks (which makes me sick since I am a yankee fan). However, the Sox were heavily favored in this series. Had it not been 3-0 at one point (say 2-1 or something) and it reached a Game 7 and the Yanks lost (like they appear to be on their way to doing) no one would care (save the fans of the respective teams) since that is what was supposed to happen. Now, don't get me wrong, I am not short changing what the Sox have done. It has been very impressive. But they were expected to win and they have. Period.
  10. And it's Number 7's birthday tonight. Hopefully all that will help the Yanks. They are going to need it.
  11. Pete, I hope to God you are right. Goodness, can you imagine what Big George will do if the Yanks lose? Is it possible that Torre could be shown the door ?????
  12. I'm too nervous to pick a team. As a Yankee fan I think I should be able to bank on the Sox screwing it up somehow, but I don't really believe in curses or jinxes. I just see the two best teams in baseball slugging it out in a great series. Of course I will be upset when and if the Yanks lose, but right now I am just amped that we get to watch another game in theis series. Go Yanks!
  13. Indeed they are. I am a Yankee fan and it's been hard to watch...what's even harder is all my friends are Redsox fans (since i used to live there lol). So either way I am screwed. If the Yanks win tonight, I will catch flack for allowing the Redsox to force a game 7. If they lose tonight I will catch even more flack for the biggest choke in history. My phone hasn't stopped ringing all day. But, hey, that's what this rivalry is all about right? The games are supposed to be fun, and when the ribbing is good natured, it's fun. When it degenerates into bickering and fans on both sides taking it to another level it loses some of it's luster. I was glad that last night's thread was all in good humor (on both sides). And I am glad T-Bone made his posts today. That's fine, he has every right to celebrate. And he is good natured about it, so it's all good. I am just looking foward to a fun game tonight. And if the Sox win, it will complete possibly the greatest comeback in sports history. Their fans will have every right to celebrate. But I will still be a Yankee fan tomorrow regardless
  14. The funny thing is that last night's game was the most boring one of the series. The Sox just dominated the Yanks.
  15. Good point:) Smurf, lol
  16. Honestly, this is the first time I will say this. I am embarrased to be a Yankee fan. And it has nothing to do with the team. Even if they blow this series I am still proud of them and will be a fan till I die. I am just embarrased to be associated with those fans throwing stevestojan and forcing police in friggin' riot gear to line the field. What do the fans think they are watching? A dolphins/Bills game?
  17. HAHAHAHAHA They are brining in the riot controll people. This is embarrassing.
  18. It was the right call because he swated at Arrojo's arm when Arrojo wasn't in the way. Had Arrojo been standing and had Arod ran into him causing the ball to come out, it would have been legal. But Arod tried to make a play. Can't blame him, but it was the right call from my seat at least.
  19. I didn't see the replay till a moment ago. You are right, it was the right call. When it happened live, it looked like Arod bumped into him and the ball came out, not that he swatted it. The fans should be ashamed of themselves for throwing stevestojan on the field, but they don't get to see the replay right away.
  20. He absolutley does. Garbage call
  21. First two pitches were in the 93 range...he looks sharp damn
  22. It's funny. Half of me kinda thinks he really isn't hurt at all. I know its ludicrious, but I am falling for the conspiracy theory! Oh, and I believe in UFOs, the Bermuda Triangle and Ghosts....
  23. Good luck to both teams and fans. Let's have a good one. (or a blowout by the Yankees )
  24. Good game Boston. See ya in NY
  25. LoL...come on, he's not Pedro:)
