That's definitely a WNY, especially Southern Tier, thing.   I've heard people refer to the village of Silver Creek as Silver Crik.

One thing that I've noticed recently on tv is some actors seem to add an extra syllable to some words, most notably on words that end in ing.  Examples:

    go-ing becomes go-ing-ga or com-ing becomes com-ing-ga.

  2. Hopefully just the B&W episodes...the colorized ones i can't stomach, especially when Howard Sprague became a major character

I realize problems of the times are all relative to the generation. It just seems the country, and world as a whole, are running off the rails right now.

And.....the lunch special at the diner was like 95 cents.

  3. Wouldn't that be something.  on a separate note, really jacked about this limpken(?) signing from colorado.  Not the typical Syracuse bean pole center.  gonna be a nice addition.

    Any chance Mintz comes back?

Looking at the mocks, and I don’t see any chance of him being drafted at all. Maybe we can make it worth his while with NIL to stay?

  4. I kinda like it.  he's a quality coach, he takes a step up for future opportunities and oh by the way, one of his players is in the transfer portal and has SU on his short list.  This is a great move that potentially fills 2 holes, g-mac and judah mintz

Strap this story on with your breakfast coffee.

5 women, average age 59, were cycling near Seattle when they saw 2 cougars.  One of the cougars leaped, grabbed the jaw of one cyclist, and dragged her off her bike by the head.  (Cougars kill prey by crushing their heads and necks).

The 4 other cyclists jumped off their bikes and ran to the rescue, hitting the cougar with rocks and sticks and trying to choke it and stab it with a pocket knife for fifteen (15) minutes, until it loosened its grip and the attacked cyclist got away.  They then pinned the cougar to the ground with a bicycle and a large rock for 30 minutes until help arrived.

That's the cougar, on the bottom there, covered with bikes, a rock, and three bad-ass women.

OK, they didn't actually kill the cougar - a Fish and Wildlife officer responded to the 911 call and shot it.  But from the photo, that was a 'mercy shot'

Memo to Mack Hollins: I'd take your diet advice from these ladies, 'cuz, Savage.  If they eat soup, Drink Up.

  8. Just Added JRAD at the Stone Pony to my concert itinerary.  Great band, iconic venue.  It was between Stone Pony and Pier 6(?) in Baltimore, saw Billy & The Kids there last year.  Opted for Stone Pony

Grateful Dead - by far the worst concert I ever saw.  I can't believe they call that crap "music".   Made me want to be dead.

  10. I love that he has his Quintet lineup

"Gov't Mule frontman Warren Haynes, Widespread Panic's Jimmy Herring, Dark Star Orchestra keyboardist Rob Barraco and drummer John Molo"

I can't believe Phil will be 84. Given all the hard partying they did it's amazing that any of the core of 4 are still around.
