Ravens, eagles and Bills have the best 3 rosters in football. Eagles are the only one of the above that doesn’t choose come playoff team.
fortunately, ravens are really subpar in playoffs compared to buffalo.

He’s an afterthought really, at this point.
So glad we have Shakir. Velcro hands, keeps his head down and brings the lunch pail to work everyday, doesn’t say nuthin to nobody…just does his job. Couldn’t ask for better IMO
Love Shakir but let’s be real. Diggs best season (around 127 catches for 1550 yards) is Shakir’s production over two years

Allen wanted to erase the throw as well, I'm sure!
Not sure what more Allen could have done on that play. He literally threw it 25 yards downfield while falling backwards cuz of the blitz that wasn’t picked up. A heroic throw that I don’t think any other qb has the strength to make. It had to be caught

He hasn’t had double digit sacks since 2021. He has played in every game 1 time in 5 years.
He is not going to make any difference in the defense this year, imo.
No difference whatsoever? Interesting and imo 100% wrong

Hate being the bearer of bad news, but i highly doubt they offer group discounts. They sell out every game easily so no need to offer discounts and not maximize revenues.
Hope I’m wrong

1. You say, " You gotta have a backup plan when the defense isn't stopping the offense. It's akin to a MLB pitcher without his + stuff finding a way to win regardless. And that “In the NFL, the backup plan is being able to out-score the opponent, which this regime doesn't think is necessary. (Cue the scoring 30ppg regular season crowd).”
You don't think the Bills have an offense that is capable of winning the big games, especially playoff games? To me, and likely most fans, they seem to be capable of scoring a lot of points, well, just because they did so last year and overall under McBeane. But it was clearly the defense that was weaker, much weaker, last year and in need of an overhaul—not the best offense in the NFL
I think all of the facts related to the offense last year, and in the last five years really undermine that your main point. I am very surprised that you do not know that, understand that. The Bills are aware of how good the offense is, clearly, from any objective set of eyes, and also aware of the significant weaknesses of last year’s defense, particularly in the secondary and D-Lines. So this off season they have gone hog wild adding the needed players to improve the weak areas, while also adding a few key pieces to the offense.
I think the Bills want a team capable of doing both at a high level, a team without any weaknesses. I believe that is what they, and maybe all other NFL teams worth their salt are striving for--the best complimentary football they can have, with an offense making it easier on the defense, and visa versa.
Last year especially, clearly a transition year on defense, they did not have man power to create that kind of top level consistent defense. That is why I was calling for an almost all defense draft, with multiple players for the D-line and cornerback.
I think it seems to be exactly what you would want--as I am assuming what you say above also relates to defense?--that when the offense is not firing on all cylinders they have a defense that can carry the load? Since you said what you said about the offense needing to carry the day, hard to believe you would not think the same thing about the defense when the offense is not coming through. Am I missing something there?
2. You say, “In the NFL, the backup plan is being able to out-score the opponent, which this regime doesn't think is necessary…
And “Buffalo lacked the offensive firepower to overwhelm the Chiefs...because they don't invest there like their best/likely playoff opponents do.”
I know from your post, your direct comment about the 30 points a game, and the rest, that you don’t really bother with numbers or stats if they contradict this particular point you are making, so these are for the others who are reading (you should just skip them, as they are not relevant to you):
--The 2024 Bills scored more points last year that any other NFL team, from the beginning of the season to the end of the playoffs
--They scored more points than any Bills team ever
--They led the NFL in yards per point last year
--They were the first team in NFL history to have 30 rushing TDS and 30 passing TDS, finding the incredible balance that McDermott, and fans like me, have been wanting.
--Last year’s team also had one of the best points per drive this century and NFL history.
--And I apologize beforehand, and they also scored 30 points 9 games in a row—and averaged over 30 points per game.
And this super charged, point scoring machine we all (except a few…) saw last year was not a new thing for the McBeane Bills, as I assume you are well aware. They have scored more points in the NFL over the last five years than any other team.
I mean, if the stats, the numbers above don’t disprove the points n your comments I included on this matter, then it seems you may have just thrown all the logic, reason, out the window to make your point. It is irrational, an understatement, to call a team out for not investing in its offense, for not caring if they have the firepower to overcome top opponents, when they were the best offense in the NFL last year, and the best in Bills history, which is saying a lot, and have scored more points in than any other team the last five years etcetera etcetera.
That would be like Ford going to the top salesman in the company, who sold more cars than anyone ever did for Ford in a year, broke the company record for sales, in fact, and who sold more cars than anyone at Ford for the last five years, and telling him he needed to get his priorities in order, and learn how to sell cars more successfully than he did last year, and in the last five years. And If not, his a*s is grass.
I cannot imagine anyone agreeing with what you say. Both parts of your point are dead in the water almost as soon as you write them. As the complimentary football you call for does not seem to apply to the other side of the ball, the defense. And then you call this ‘regime’ out for its egregious neglect of the offense, the best in the NFL last year, the best in Bills history, and one breaking all kinds of team and NFL records.
I hope that the Bills now neglect the defense in the same ways they have neglected the offense, I really do. And they seem to be doing just that.
OMG it’s just so many words

The first look at this guy in rookie mini-camp gives the impression of a guy who wants to make this roster in September. He was running great routes and catching everything in sight. The guy is not a sub 4.4 burner, but he's got real good speed to go with enough size to make him look like a slender Keon Coleman. You have to give Brandon Beane credit. He misses on some early round picks like every GM does, but he hits on a surprising number of late round fliers. If Keon doesn't get his act together, maybe he should start looking over his shoulder. That is not to mention the fact that Jackson Hawes and Dorian Strong look strong as well.
Not a 4.4 burner but at 6’5” and 4.46 he’s plenty fast enough
sometimes these guys don’t get an ample chance in college. Knox had 0 tds at Mississippi state cuz of the receivers there; cooke’s stats were pedestrian cuz he played at UGA part time, plenty of other examples

I think Dorian Strong but if I had a dark horse it would be the TE. We don’t have anybody who blocks like him and he can replace the 6 lineman and also be a receiving weapon because of it. He won’t get many receptions but I could see him being a red zone target especially inside the 10 yard line.
he wasn’t on my draft radar but love the pick

Not quite right. He said the Bills told him on his visit that if he was there they wanted him. Not in a call on draft night.
But of course they edit the video to suit the reality. It isn't a true reflection of what went on in the draft. It's a snapshot cleverly edited together to make the team look good. I remember long ago before Embedded the social media team did a post draft video that showed Whaley trying, and failing, to trade up on day 2 for Carlos Hyde, the running back out of Ohio State, and apparently when it went out Whaley and Monos were apoplectic. Lesson learnt.
The article said that but he mentioned the Bills call on his press conference with the Detroit media on Friday. I think Sal also referenced it on his podcasts

Maybe it's a little wishful thinking but I watch a lot of Maryland games (that's another story).....and I always thought Prather looked like one of those players that would perform better in the NFL than college football. Kind of like Dawson Knox in way, just didn't have that many opportunities in college but when his number was called he made the play and looked very smoothe doing it.
That would be cool. He has huge hurdles to overcome and make the roster but a 6’5” guy running a 4.46 is a good start. Prob stash him on the PS and see how he develops
20 minutes ago, MikePJ76 said:mike and Dan from Buffalo plus seemed to be impressed with Dorian strong. Basically said he looked the part.
I liked his measurables a ton going into the draft. I thought his strengths matched our D style perfectly and thought he was a late 3rd:early 4th value. Pure guess but I think he makes Dane Jackson a cut.

Not trying to be a jerk, but did you watch him in college and have you seen the lower half of his body?
He's not a 1-tech. He's not good against the run and rarely occupies 2 blockers.
I'm not saying he's bad, I'm just saying calling him a 1-tech because he's big is the same as calling Jordan Phillips a 1-tech because he's big. It's not true.
Beane and McDermott seem to Disagree with you - they’re not always right but I’ll trust them

Good watch but not as cool as usual. Previous years showed more insider stuff, this just rehashed stuff (like calls to draftees) that we’ve seen before. How about footage of taking guys out to dinner after their pro-day? How about calls to UDFA so we get a feel on how that works? How about trades that didn’t go through?

Obviously anything can happen, but Vegas win totals predict:
-AFC East opponents are all 500 or worse. NE on the rise. Jets on the descent. Miami still Miami.
-NFC South is a struggle fest with Tampa as a 9.5 win Division champ.
-Steelers and Cleveland still in QB purgatory.
-Home schedule is dynamite! Games against 4 predicted Division champs (Balt, KC, Philly, TB) plus Cincy who carves McD zones up like air. Hopefully home field advantage is huge and we close the old stadium with some massive wins.
Vegas Win Totals in parentheses with my subjective Win/Loss/Toss-Up
HOME:
Baltimore Ravens (11.5, Loss)
Cincinnati Bengals (9.5, Loss)
Kansas City Chiefs (11.5, Toss Up)
Miami Dolphins (8.5, Win)
New England Patriots (7.5, Win)
New Orleans Saints (6.5, Win)
New York Jets (5.5, Win)
Philadelphia Eagles (11.5, Toss Up)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9.5, Toss Up)
AWAY:
Atlanta Falcons (7.5, Win)
Carolina Panthers (6.5, Win)
Cleveland Browns (4.5, Win)
Houston Texans (9.5, Toss Up)
Miami Dolphins (8.5, Sept Liquid IV Game = Toss Up, Oct-Jan = Win)
New England Patriots (7.5, Toss Up)
New York Jets (5.5, Win)
Pittsburgh Steelers (8.5, Win)
I'm seeing 9 Wins, 2 Losses, 6 Toss Ups.
At home: 4 wins, 2 losses and 3 toss ups? Interesting, who would have guessed we went 10-0 at home last year?

Body control and size. The upside with him is he becomes a player that can consistently box out defenders to create leverage and then contort for the ball in the air. His best case scenario profile was never Stefon Diggs, it's Brandon Marshall. Obviously he has a long way to go to hit that ceiling.
Coleman was just a mistake. You don’t take a wr with 4.58 speed who couldn’t separate in college at #33. You take Ladd McConkey all day every day and I was adamant about that pre draft last year. Imagine this team with Ladd on it? Coleman, I think will turn out okay/decent but pick 33 had much better options. I also loved Franklin for later in the draft and I didn’t really follow him - I think he was just okay??

Is moore’s history of drama worth signing him? His Dad’s a pain in the asz and Moore has caused significant drama for both the Jets and CLE. Our “everybody eats” thing won’t go over well with him or his Dad. I would pass on him and maybe look at DJ Chark, or better yet look to trade for someone? Also, any 6/1 cut candidates?

The POINT is that Coleman, Samuels, Dalton, and Palmer had little to do with the Bills being the highest scoring team in 2024. Amari and Mack played a big part in Bills scoring. And they are gone. MVP Josh was an alchemist.
To just assume that Coleman can learn to beat press coverage, that Dalton plays better than Knox, that Samuels can stay healthy, that Palmer steps up, that a stud fifth WR magically appears, and that Shakir stays healthy- that’s a lot of assumptions!
It is a thin line between hope and folly.
People think just because we led the league in scoring, we will again. Well many opposing teams have their sites on Bills, have studied Bill Offense, they are building game plans against us. But we were so good on offense last year, we don’t need to evolve. We don’t to add any talent- give all to the D.
Cooper had a lot to do with Buffalo’s scoring. How does 20 catches for 297 yards and 2 td ever relate to a lot?
Mack Collins 31 catches for 378 and 5 tds - different name same as above

A lot of elite WRs when they reach this part of their careers essentially fall off a cliff, morphing from studs into possession receivers who hang around for a couple/few seasons and bounce from team to team: Andre Johnson, DeAndre Hopkins, Julio Jones, AJ Green. It starts at around year 30-31, and Cooper will be 31 in June.
Yep and cooper is a weird dude. Extremely smart but I don’t think football means a hell of a lot to him. I think chess means just as much

Yep mine too - I was begging for us to take him first. Even with the overlap with Shakir, you take the BPA. Beane claims to take the BPA but in this case he absolutely did not. You don’t take a funny guy with 4.6 speed over a guy with the “it factor” who runs and plays at a 4.4. Really stupid pick, I Called it then, obviously everyone knows it now. And believe me Shakir and Ladd could have happily coexisted - there’s this thing called putting a wr in montion

My favorite pick of the draft for us.
We of course are not scouts but I thought he would be drafted around 40-45 and I thought TJ would be dreaded in the 60s.
so if we had taken Landon at 40 and TJ at 75 I would have been thrilled. When we took TJ at 40 I was ??? But alls the same in the end and obviously Beane knew
