  1. Of note, (At least for those of us in Hawaii), in the apparent screen shot of the viewing maps, the █ Anchorage  █ Fairbanks █ Honolulu legend is removed.  However, when clicking the link the legend can be seen.    Is this purposely being removed from the screenshot?  Not a big hassle, but just my observation and I'm curious if anyone has any additional insight here.

It’s pretty easy to tell all the individuals who have their own skeletons in their closets coming out to defend this piece of trash. Why DEFEND Araiza at all?  To silence any other women who have the courage to come forward? You don’t know anything except charges have been levied. What grounds do you have to defend such abhorrent accusations?  Every stupid emoji, every baseless defense on indefensible actions speaks volumes to your own personal character, and which virtues you hold true, if any.  If any of you taking the stance of blindly defending this dbag just because he he’s got a Buffalo on his helmet, as your wives what they think, or daughters, or mothers..

Lets examine this, (With my response in parentheses after each of your statements):

    - "It’s pretty easy to tell all the individuals who have their own skeletons in their closets coming out to defend this piece of trash."  (It's pretty easy to tell who the individuals are who do not value:  due process, the laws passed by our representatives, or the US Constitution in general).

    - "Why DEFEND Araiza at all?"  (There's no defense of the individual in question, there is a defense of due process.)

    - "To silence any other women who have the courage to come forward?"  (No one rationale wants to silence anyone else.  I would question why anyone would only want the accusers voice to be heard, and who would try to silence the defendant, that failed logic is what needs to be questioned.  Additionally, why is your question only focusing on supposedly silencing women?  Seems there is a failure to acknowledge and understand that men are also viscously assaulted.)

    - "You don’t know anything except charges have been levied."  ( I / we all know as much about the charges as you do, assuming you were not directly involved here.)

    - "What grounds do you have to defend such abhorrent accusations?"  (As previously covered, the grounds to defend the accusations are based on defending due process at large, and not just an individual.  Additionally, with the same vigor to determine if the accusations are true, the justice system also needs to take equal effort to determine if the accusations are false.)

    - "Every stupid emoji, every baseless defense on indefensible actions speaks volumes to your own personal character, and which virtues you hold true, if any."  (I agree, including yours.)

    - "If any of you taking the stance of blindly defending this dbag just because he he’s got a Buffalo on his helmet, as your wives what they think, or daughters, or mothers."  (I do think of my wife, daughter and mother.  But it would be false logic to believe abuse is limited to females. We also need to think of the husbands, sons and fathers.)

If my logic or conclusions are flawed, flame away, I'm here to learn; I'm interested in the truth.  On the other hand, I'm not too interested in biased viewpoints and I'm skeptical of those who try to suppress the viewpoints of others, (Via supposed shaming, etc).  In the apparent absence of continued / imminent danger to the accuser (She's getting the therapy and support she needs / deserves - the defendant is no where near her), let the punter have his job till due process dictates otherwise.

Holy cow that seems impossible! Was this cable,  satellite? Streaming maybe on one TV? I have no idea, not that I'm an expert. That's why I posted, hoping to figure out my question.

I subscribe to Spectrum Cable Tv. I know, 2 different programs, 2 different tv’s, same channel, same house…..defies logic.

  4. Regarding the broadcast, what happened to me at game time (Preseason game #2, Bills - Broncos) here where I’m at in Hawaii is beyond comprehension.

I put the tv on in my bedroom, changed the channel to NFL network (Channel 203 here in Hawaii) and the the broadcast banners / and announcers at the time (Steve Mariucci) consistently said coming up next, Bills v. Broncos.  Then come game time, they broadcast, “Emmitt Smith, a Football Life.”  So no Bills game for me.

    Then,

My son went to the living room tv, just 25 feet away, in the same house, turned it on, was looking to see what else is on, he went by Channel 203, Bills v. Broncos were playing.

So to summarize, I had 2 different programs, on 2 different tv’s, in the same house, on the same channel.

Can anyone speculate what caused that ?

  5. Good subject, thanks for soliciting feedback.  A few thoughts:

    - Will this / should this effort include only the modern day Buffalo Bills?  What about the All-American Football Conference, (AAFC) Buffalo Bills?  What about the Buffalo All Americans from the earliest days of the NFL?

    - What should be considered when determining someone's nomination for the Wall of Fame?  A great Buffalo Bill?  Then what is a great Buffalo Bill?  That should be defined.  Should greatness be defined by on field productivity?  Should it be defined by bringing great credit to the NFL, the Buffalo Bills and the city of Buffalo / Western New York?  What about charitable contributions?  A Fan favorite?  A distinguished military veteran, (Bob Kalsu)?  My point being, I think metrics need to be established, then assign a scoring system with a scoring sheet or something similar.  The process for inclusion should not be arbitrary.

                    A few examples:

If we are basing inclusion to the Wall of Fame on productivity, then I don't see a way OJ cannot be included.  If all the aforementioned metrics are included, maybe not?  (How many times have we heard, "Former Buffalo Bills running back OJ Simpson has been charged with - fill in the blank."  That's not exactly bringing great credit to the NFL, our team, and the surrounding area.

If we are basing inclusion to the Wall of Fame based on all the aforementioned criteria, then I cannot see a way men like Fred Jackson, Ben Williams, Marlin Briscoe, Mark Kelso and so many others cannot be included + all the coaches / administrators who contributed so much.

Thoughts?  Am I on to something? Or are there gaps in my assessment?

If you’re a moderator here, you could at least explain so, and briefly state your authorities.  I’m assuming you may be a moderator since my response to Brooklyn Bill was deleted.

I took the time and answered BrooklynBills questions one by one in a logic sequence and you (or someone)  took offense to the actual Indian translation of Brooklyn.  What about the false accusations made towards me by BrooklynBill? Was that considered civil ?  He can say whatever he wants (and I support it) but his post remains.  I guess you just don’t care for my viewpoints and made that an excuse.  Next I suppose you’re just going to disable my account - just to show that you can ..... we will see what your moral authority leads you to do.

I get it now, I saw your other most recent posts, my view points don’t coincide

Wow. This is stunning. You conflate being an American man with white skin in a foreign country with black people living in the USA??? Are you suggesting that all black people have to do is work hard and racism would go away? So millions of people in our country and around the world are protesting risking exposure to corona virus because they are lazy?

Thats right, I did conflate - can you believe it !  And guess what, I can conflate anything I want - what’s it to you ? Its a free country.  As for you, go ahead and perpetuate the outrage and be miserable - I don’t care.

You can continue to be stunned and outraged - hope it makes you feel better.  As for me, I’ll stick with my hard work and positive attitude, it’s worked for me.

Racism never goes away - you made that up about me  - fake news on your part.  If you work hard and don’t demand of others, then one is more likely to gain the favor of others / and I’ve seen that work time and time again. That’s my stance and I’m sticking to it.

Millions of people around the world protesting?? You’re overlooking the hundreds of millions in the USA (or billions around the world) who ARE NOT PROTESTING and equally disgusted - we are the silent majority.

See, I was nice, I addressed all your so called questions and concerns.

Go ahead, reply with all your repugnant name calling, how stunned you continue to be, and wish me and my family the ultimate agony.  Lol.

What a coincidence, yours was deleted from mine too. I know I'll never know how it must feel for a black man in 21st century America to find out that a 5th round rookie made a lame joke about rich white people having silencers, but I only had so many victim empathy slots left and I couldn't keep everyone. I know you must be going through a lot right now.

I know I should care, especially in light of all those years of slavery and Jim Crow that you've had to endure vicariously through the people that actually lived through those times. That can't have been easy.

You seem like a principled guy, so I'm pretty sure you and your friends have never made any jokes or comments in private that could be considered racist. Even if you did I'd give you a pass because of the 400 years thing. Even I know that holding you to the same standard to which you hold others is a form of white supremacy, so you're coming into this with clean hands. Still, no matter how hard I try I just can't get worried about it.

I do want to be woke though, so I promise you this. If someone does something overtly and substantially racist to you, let me know and I'll put you back on the list. I know you'd do the same for me.

Its selfish to think this is just a problem within the boundaries of the USA.

As a Caucasian male, I’ve lived and worked on several continents around the globe - and I was often in the minority.  Guess what? I worked extra hard every day to gain the trust and respect of my neighbors and coworkers. EVERY DAY! and I never once felt sorry for myself! Not once did I ask others to accommodate me!  Not once did I ever demand or expect others to welcome me!  As a result, others saw my efforts, I gained their favor, and made lasting relationships with a meaningful impact.  This nonsense about what it’s like to be a minority and I don’t know what it’s like - BS!  And now I reside in Hawaii and I’m still in the minority - so what ? I work hard as I always do and things come together.  Be clean, decent, and considerate, stop asking others to understand you and you will be amazed what can come of it.

What problems is Tre white causingfor the team?

This is laughable. Fromm says some unbelievably racist ***** and Tre White tweets his displeasure towards it and he's the problem?

Give me break. You cut Fromm right now if it's between him and Tre.

You are right. They aren't... gotta see how it plays out, but I can't imagine them changing their mind about him.

And what Brees said doesn't compare to what Fromm said....

It would be fun to do a background investigation on you and see how perfectly / imperfectly you have lived.  Then, judge you as you are judging others.  My guess, you would then be without a job and maybe even jailed.

That goes for all of us...(me included)!

Then, based on this idiotic calculus (Courtesy of “ScottLaw”) when we are all fired from our jobs and all pronounced guilty,  we can all live in this utopia of a jobless, guilty nation - nice!

On a side note, (ref Fromm being “caught”) what was Jake Fromm supposed to do? Upon being drafted, make an announcement about all his tweets?  The young man is just trying to put his best foot forward - as we all try to do, especially at the workplace.

Recommend we all try some moderation and stop with the extreme viewpoints.  Warning - extremism is how Nazi Germany, the ISIS caliphate, and many other terrible things came to be.

Flame way extremists - wish me and my family and my families family total death and destruction for just expressing a moderate viewpoint  .... I know it’s coming.

  11. OMG, I just arrived at this post and already 28 pages ....and counting.

I wish we could do a background investigation of everyone doing the finger pointing now ... I’m sure everyone would have a stain on their record .....and then (based on the so called “standard” many on this board have) we could all be jobless.  What a miserable bunch of people; finding joy by only wishing hate and destruction for each other.

Would it be worth it though? I’d rather use that extra spot on WR and realistically what does Webb bring that Allen, Barkley and Fromm don’t? Allen is the guy it looks like going forward, Barkley is the teacher and Fromm is the learner.

I’m just speaking from a general standpoint, (not just Bills).  It would be worth it (to hold 4 QBs) if the talent at QB (or any position) is commensurate with holding a spot on the roster.  Anyway, just saying a team, any team, can hold 4 QB’s, (see pats and Tom Brady - year 2000).  Belicheck didn’t want to hold 4 Qbs but made the sacrifice - and it paid off.  Anyway, I’m quite happy with our QB room now.

  13. 9 hours ago, Victory Formation said:

You keep Barkley and Fromm, Webb is out.... Josh Allen was noticeably better after we signed Matt Barkley. Barkley has been in the league 7 or 8 years now and has lots of experience which Webb and Fromm have none of. I think Barkley could have been a good starter in the league if he had a better arm... Anyways, you keep Barkley around to mentor Fromm and to backup Josh if he goes down.

You can keep 4 QB’s on the roster, as has been done before, but I get it - you pay a price as a team.

It's definitely on my bucket list.  I've never stepped foot in the city.  Once I retire from the military, my plan is to make it up there.  I've been to several away games though.

I’ll wish you an early welcome to the “retirement team.” I just retired myself in January (26 years) and haven’t been to a Bills game since 1988 (Raiders at Bills - an extremely cold game).   I’ll have to fly in from Hawaii but it will be worth it.  PS - you’re gonna love retirement more than you realize.  Good luck to you !  And thanks for your service (LOL, now I can finally say it to someone).

  15. Terrell Owens!  Loved his time with the Bills!!

If TO would had been a Bill for his entire career, I think it’s possible he would be one of the most recognized Bills of all time.  Proof - he was with the Bills for only 8 or 9 months and he even earned a key to the city during that time.

Also, to this point, some else here already posted “TO” and that post had easily garnered the most likes !  Cannot overstate this enough, he was with us for only 8-9 months,  but yet, still got so much favorable attention!

Right. OK, improving draft stock seems a bit like over correcting too far. But in an African American dominated sport the lack of racial diversity is appalling. This may be the wrong solution, but instead of people whining about it, what is the proper route. Because “just hire the most qualified regardless of race” is not working, and historically has never worked in America.

The only solution I could think of which may begin to balance things out would be to develop an algorithm to include only the quality of work by an individual (no ethnic background data, only football related performance).  Then based on the output of the algorithm, only the top individuals would qualify for interviews, promotion.

If you’re an individual who believes math is racist, then my proposal doesn’t work for you:

  17. Fine, if the NFL is going to “socially engineer” front office and coaching positions, then it needs to do the same thing on the playing field (and every other aspect of the game; trainers, equipment personnel, secretaries, ball “people”)

The playing field should then have an equal number of players who are ethnically Asians, Polynesians, Caucasians, Latinos, Indians, Africans, Eskimos (I apologize if I left out an ethnic group).

And there goes your so called “quality of the game”

The anger towards Bill Belichick Brady and the Patriots in general is over the top on this board.  They have been far better then us for the past two decades.  Simple as that.  They have been better then everyone for that matter.  We have basically been ***** until McDermott came on board.  And even he has not been good enuf....yet to beat the Pats.  I think that is about to change.  You have to respect greatness in anything.  You get your ass kicked, you tip your hat and go back to the drawing board.  Belichick has been great, Brady has been great.  The guy who annoys me the most is Robert Kraft.  Talk about a smug old SOB.  Can't stand him.  But he is a winner at running a football franchise.  So he gets his props, even if he can't be more discrete about the hookers he associates with.  LOL

Its the same with Michigan v Ohio State.  I can't stand the Buckeyes.  But they have kicked our ass for the past two decades.  While I hate them,  I have the utmost respect for Jim Tressel and Urban Meyer.  Both great coaches.  In fact, I wish Tressel was coaching the Wolverines right now.  Again, you can not disrespect greatness.

As for the coaching list, I am a big George Allen and George Seifert fan.  Both great coaches that are underrated.  Allen should be much higher then 25th.  The guy was innovative and an incredible motivator.  The old Redskin teams were awesome.  Kind of guy I would have loved to play for.  Seifert took over for Walsh and led the 49ers to two Super Bowls.  He wasn't a look at me guy.  But did an excellent job keeping the 49ers from missing a beat.  The guys record in SF was 98-30.  Unbelievable.  I would put him on the list and take off Tomlin.  Why is he there instead of John Harbaugh?  I was also a Big Bum Phillips fan as a kid.  Just a completely different kind of coach.  Was a riot with his sayings and his Texan hokieness.  But dam the guy could coach too.  Tom Flores was another great coach.  Won two Super Bowls with the Raiders.  (Funny how Gruden thinks he knows how to coach.  That ended when he left Tampa.  He should take some lessons from Madden and Flores.  Gruden is a brand.  Not a coach.  LOL)

Awesome post, spot on!!!!!   ...... but why so down on the hookers ?

    Mine would be:

    1. Belichick

    2. Shula

    3. Lombardi

    4. P. Brown

    5. Halas

    6. Landry

    7. Walsh

    8. Noll

    9. Parcells

    10. Curly Lambeau or Gibbs

Thats a great list ... but would put Coach Parcells higher (by about 4 spots) for the following reasons:

    - He has a good / better coaching tree than most

    - He genuinely cared for all his players in a very meaningful way and consistently backed it up with action

    - His resume demonstrates great / excellent success with 3 to 4 teams and not just one team like most of the others on the list

BTW: Coach Parcells published an article in the Harvard Business Review, dated December 2000, entitled, “The tough work of turning around a team.”  A really good read for aspiring or active leaders/managerial types.
