Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
newcam2012 replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shakir might be ready to take on a bigger role too. -
Balt whole team is based around Lamar and his skill set. Bringing in Carr would require a total revamp of the team. Balt WRs are well below average. Carr isn't elite or franchise and comes with a huge salary. Although I'm sure the Raiders are going to have to eat some of his 40 million. Bringing in Carr to Balt makes little sense to me.

Bills WR Route Concepts in Our Offense

Agree. I thought Josh overthrew the ball. Smoke turned on the after burners and beautifully stretched out and caught the ball. I jumped out of my chair in delight. The Bills offensive production on 3rd downs is tops in the league. I believe this has allowed the Bills to win the close games this year. -
Don't look now, but Bills rounding into playoff shape.

It doesn't work that way. Bills could have easily lost to KC, Balt, and Miami. -

I would add that the Bills offense needs to be more explosive. Last year, the offense was very explosive. Big strikes, long passes, and scores quickly. This year's team has not nearly been as explosive. Last week's game was hopefully a good sign. A huge strike to Diggs and Brown was great to see. I'm not so sure a control the ball via running is an effective strategy for the Bills. Sure the run threat and running is needed. Not sure it's needed to keep the opposition off the field. Rather, It opens up the whole offense. Imho, I'd rather see a Bills aggressive offense. Let Allen loose. Ride his arms and legs. Pressure the opposing defenses with motion, RPOs, quick screens, use Cook and Hines in the passing game, 5 wide sets, send Gabe, Diggs, and Brown deep. -

The defense is good vs inferior and one dimensional offenses. They played poorly against solid offenses with decent QBs. They struggled vs Minn, Det, Miami, and 5 min of Cinci. The Bills played the Jets and NE twice who arguably are bottom feeding offenses. Chicago who has college like WRs with no pass threat. A Brisett led Clev team that sucked. A Green Bay team that was slumping and playing poorly. A KC team that was still trying to find their offensive mojo. This Bills defense is not bad by any means. I wouldn't consider the defense as elite in any way. The pass rush is inconsistent as well as their run defense. The secondary hasn't looked reliable and consistent for some time. Their tackling is worrisome. The last two games their tackling has been excellent. Prior to that it's one of the worst in the NFL. In fact, I'm not sure they can stop Burrow and the Bengals or Mahomes and the Chiefs. Lastly, I ask you to trust your eyes and don't get enamored in the stats. My eyes will be very nervous if the Bills need the defense to make a stop to win the game. I'd much rather have Allen have the ball and win it. Hopefully, there won't be 13 seconds left on the clock... -

I agree. Also, I'm not confident the Bills defense can slow down Burrows, Mahomes, and maybe Herbert. If they game comes down to the Bills needing a defensive stop I'm not sure they will get it done. That's where missing Von is going to be felt. -
You think Dolphin fans wish Hyde and Miller were playing? I don't think anyone is wishing for serious injuries. Minor ones are in play though. Tell me you would hate if Waddle and Hill limped off the field in the 1st quarter and were ruled out for the game. Sure it's sinister but we are at the point that winning is what matters.
-
I'm not advocating a serious injury for either. But I wouldn't mind a twisted ankle that keeps them out of the game. Perhaps that's shallow and or unethical. My point is I just want a Bills win. A loss would be very disturbing for me. The rest of the playoffs won't be the same. I'd probably watch them in a pi$$ed off mood.

I stand by what I say and said. Those are and were my beliefs. Of course, I was wrong on many as it turned out. Nevertheless, that doesn't deter me from voicing my opinions. I try to back them.up with facts or realistic opinions. I have no regrets on what I said. I've eaten crow many times and gladly will when the Bills win when I think they won't.

That's very fair. Go back and look at several of my post. I've stated that KC and Cinci will have a hard time stopping the Bills O too.

I don't see this game as a blowout. I jumped all over the 10.5 points and Miami. This line is ridiculous. The two teams played a mini playoff game a few weeks ago. It came down to a game winning FG. Not sure how the Bills are favored by this much. I think the Bills should be favored by 6. This is with Tua playing. I have little doubt he won't play.

Hope you are right!
