  1. Correct. But only as there are 15 in rugby rather than 11. A significant part of the game is kicking the ball downfield and chasing, not too dissimilar to a punt in NFL, and attempting to nail the receiving player 0.0000001 seconds after they catch the ball - no fair catch rule unless you’re in your own 22 (roughly the same as the “red zone”) but you can’t hit the player whilst they are in the air if they jump to execute the catch. That’s not the only situation in which you can get tackled by another player coming at you at full speed but it is the most likely. At professional level rugby is a pretty brutal game - and they have similar concussion issues to NFL. That said in rugby you are required to wrap both arms around the opposing player in the act of tackling (not doing so concedes a penalty at the minimum and these days either a yellow card (sent off for 10 mins - leaving your team down to 14, no replacements like a disqualification in nfl) or even a red (sent off permanently) - especially if you make contact above the chest - which does mean you can’t (legally) go full lunatic spear tackle / shoulder charge so the hits in NFL can be more extreme.
  2. it wasn’t that lucky given it wasn’t a helmet to helmet hit.
  3. You can tell the D don’t believe they can stop KC.
  4. Obvs we must score a TD here but we also cannot give it back to Mahomes with enough time for him to score again. So basically we need to use up the full 2 mins.
  5. The strategy is to let them keep scoring until they also miss an extra point, I think.
  6. This is looking like a blow out if the offence can’t calm down.
  7. some moron with an excel spreadsheet probably told him it was the percentage play.
  8. not after letting that go on every single play for the whole game!!
  9. How the hell can they describe that Brady interception as “not all bad”. It was horrific!
  10. You would have thought they could have worked out how to intercept those slow high arc throws the first time, but fourth time lucky they manage to walk slowly to the right spot and wait the week required for the ball to fall to earth.
  11. Check out Kevin King’s Wikipedia page....someone isn’t happy! “Kevin Charles King (born May 5, 1995) is an American footballcornerback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL who is not very good at this football thing. Maybe he should try something else”
  12. My dead gran could have done a better job in the secondary there.
  13. I’d be happy with him going to NE - he’s a good player but no more than league average. Average would obviously be an upgrade for them on Newton but hardly a terrifying prospect.
  14. Pacing back and forth muttering to myself.
