I heard today you have better odds of being hit on the head by a falling coconut than a team's odds of going undefeated.
I'll volunteer to be sent to Fiji to jump under a coconutif it helps our odds out any!

I thought this thread would be about the Bills not punting for the 4th time in the last six games! Why do we even bother wasting a roster spot on these people??

Does Tre White have a job when he comes back?
Do you think he has been Wally Pipped? 😁

My wife and I have been spending a lot of brainpower on this very question, since a Bills win means we will be eating it at least 16 more times this year...

If a QB "fakes OOB" on a Defender, that's on the Defender. You can hit any ball carrier inbounds.
I think it's a combination of the defender being a good sportsman and not hitting the QB when they are close to the sidelines and heading out, and defenders not wanting to draw an unnecessary roughness penalty by an overzealous official. That is when some QB's take advantage and fake going out of bounds. If a QB gets known for that, they risk losing the "good sportsman discount" as well as drawing flags for late hits, making defenders more likely to hit them if they are close.

Yeah, but it's a dry heat, right?? 😉

I don't think he's a match for the skill set we expect of a TE. We even expect our WR to block decently. Davis blocks well. Even the Muscle Hamster can lay a respectable block down.
If these guys can block, why can't Gesicki? Is this something our staff can teach him, is it something he would be willing to do to be on a SB favorite, or he is unwiling to do so and thus he is not a process guy?

Sigh…I didn’t think it was needed, but I guess I’ll state it anyways. I’m referring to the regular season where we are playing the #1s. Of course we don’t need JA to win pre season games. 🤦🏻♂️
I anticipated this response and started addressing it in my initial post, but then I thought better of it. Just as our offense was not playing against the defensive #1's, our QB's did not get to play with our offensive #1's. It works both ways.
I just don't think we can write off the team as being unwinnable without JA. It was an overreaction on your part based on a single preseason game, and the first one to boot. We are certainly not the same team without 17, but fortunately, there are 52 other players on the field who have a say in game outcomes.

Barkley played well but if anything happens to JA, we’re not winning until he returns.
We won today without JA, didn't we?

My major concern. I wasn’t concerned with the Hyde injury, but this feels different for multiple reasons. Pain in this general area normally only stems from something serious. Rarely will you have minor issues with visible pain in the elbow area.
I don't know. Have you ever hit your funny bone? It's not very humerous/humurus....

Again, like others have said, I doubt it goes anywhere. The NFL purposely did this to wash their hands of this. They don’t want this going down the Kraft did this, blah blah blah road. They will likely stick to the judges ruling.
Certainly possible, and maybe even probable. I can just envision a scenario where they want to look tough.

I would be extremely surprised that the NFL will appeal. Why hiring a 3rd party judge to oversee the decision if you were wanting to do the year? Why even bring in a judge if you aren’t going to follow the judgement? Such a waste of theatrics.I can see a scenario where the NFL hired the 3rd pary judge, then appealed their decision to "show" the public just how tough they are with sexual deviants. "The fair and impartial judge said to give a 6-game suspension, but we think it should be even higher. See how tough we are?"

Are there any employers outside of the entertainment industry that have "suspensions" or "fines" for employees for personal conduct outside of work.. Don't they just typical fire people or stay out of it?
I know two people who were employed by the federal government who were suspended and eventually terminated for personal conduct outside of work. Granted, they were law enforcement officers, but the conduct was not egregious.

What does Tampa do if Julio or Tom break a hip?
I'm pretty sure Medicare will cover the costs, so Tampa should have no worries.

I don't know what that means but I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to use that word.
From Merriam-Webster:
Definition of niggling : PETTY
also : bothersome or persistent especially in a petty or tiresome way - niggling injuries
First known use of the word was in the year 1599.

Coming into the league, I never really knew how to train to get ready for the season...learning some of the training routines Davis goes through will really help me going forward this season and in the future..
I'm not sure if it is as much that Watkins didn't "know" how to train for the upcoming season. I think he was just too immature and selfish to actually put in the work. I'm sure some coach along the way told him how to do it. Unfortunately, no coaches/trainers on that Bills team could force or convince him to do it. Hopefully he has finally learned how important it is for his career to put in the effort now. Talent takes you only so far. Work ethic takes you much further.

I remember getting the autographs of these players at Fredonia: Joe Feguson, Dann "the Man" Manucci, David Humm, Rod Kush, and Nick Mike-Mayer. Once I was walking to the practice area on the walkway by the dorms, and I saw two guys. I asked if they were Bills, and they said yes. One signed my autograph, and the other kept walking, lol. No one famous. They weren't huge either; really no one was back then, even Bruce Smith.
When I was a kid, my dad took my little brother and I to a practice session in Fredonia. My 5 year old brother was in a cast from a broken arm. I remember OJ coming out of the locker room saying, "No autographis until after practice. No autographis until after practice." Then he saw my brother in the cast and said, "Except for this kid here." He then signed my brother's cast. Unfortunately, that signed memorabilia is now probably compost in a landfill somewhere. 🙄
