  1. I just saw the Bills-Chiefs game a few days ago where Josh ran for the TD on a 4th and 2 play late in the game.  Both plays were outstanding, but for some reason, the Kelly run seems to stand out more in my mind.  Maybe because it was the last play of the game with 2 seconds left.  Both QB's were/are tough as nails and consummate competitors.  That's what makes the games so fun.

I don't know about anyone else but I've always had an affinity with old abandoned stadiums. There's something really atmospheric about these huge, empty buildings that once held so much atmosphere and celebrations and special moments. I remember seeing people exploring the old Silverdome in Detroit and it was fascinating.

Just found this video on RFK from some urban explorers here and it's pretty interesting. When you think of all the big moments they had there, like the NFC championship games, and now it's just a ghost. Listen closely and you can hear the brass band playing hail to the Redskins as Pat Summerall and Madden wax lyrical about the Hogs.

Have you ever seen the video of Emerson, Lake and Palmer playing "Fanfare for the Common Man" at the empty Montreal Olympic Stadium?  It is special.

Took arguably the best blocking TE in the Draft.  Makes complete sense given the offense we run.

Yeah, I'd rather have a great blocking TE in there than the 6th O-lineman like we ran a lot last year.  Gives us more options and keeps the opposition honest (unless it's KC of course...)

  4. My wife had a question that I could not answer.

Can a player not declare for the draft, then sign with a team as a free agent after the draft?  Maybe he is not very good, or maybe he doesn't want to be drafted by a team he does not like, but wants to sign with a particular team?  Can someone do that?  Or do they have to declare for the draft in order to be signed by a team?  Does it matter if he was a junior or a senior in college?

If I recall correctly, Bills kicker John Leypoldt did not play in college, but was signed by the Bills after his college age class graduated.  Is that still possible?

    Trade him

Who would trade for a RB of Cook's abilities who wants $15mm/yr and has made his demands public?  What could we reasonably expect to get in return?  If Beane can't, or won't, sign him to a new contract, what other GMs would spend draft capital on getting into the same position as Beane?

They're going to have to ride that train as far as it will take them.  And if Tua doesn't care about his health, why should they?

I can think of 53 million reasons why the Dolphins would care about his health.

Sorry to be the turd in the punch bowl, but asking ChatGPT or any GPT to simulate any team or player's season will always result in something positive happening.

The GPT does this because it gives the input priority over other variables in the model. Google search "Chat GPT Model for Raiders season" or even Browns. Same thing.

It's a bit of fun, but shouldn't ever be considered predictive because it is heavily biased.

It would be interesting to chart how ChatGPT simulates the careers of the other top QB's.  Would it have 7 QB's winning 20 Lombardis in the next 10 years?  😂

If he can’t make it out of the divisional round with the best QB on the planet leading his team, he’s not a top HC.  Regular season record means zilch, McD needs to bring a championship to Buffalo and time is ticking.

Without a winning record in the regular season, you ain't even getting to the playoffs. Regular season record does matter. Of course, winning championships is what everyone plays for, but only one single team wins in each year.  Coaching matters, but so does player implementation, luck, and referee competency.
