Because Buffalo beat both of them, we all have about the same SoS left, we haven't been blown out (like we did to the Titans) and 3 of our 4 remaining divisional games are at home.
If, at the end of the season, the Bills win a SB, and people harsh on me for holding these views, then? That's a great problem to have. For all of us.
But the Bills can't afford to lose too many more games to keep the hope of the #1 seed alive. Could the Bills run the table ahead of the playoffs and get #1 seed? Sure. Could they not? Sure. The point of my remark is that this is not a gimme. Because it's not.

Honestly I think posters here have a form of PTSD where they can't be happy unless they find something to be overly negative about and ignore anything positive.
It's honestly strange and I wonder if they act like that with their families. Just bizarre.
BBFS is real. And yeah, the GDT is particularly brutal at this juncture, but regardless, I think that we're all in.

The game really wasn't in doubt after we took the 13-10 lead.
Granted, I've become a grumpy old man, but it's not like the Browns stopped scoring in the second half. Make no mistake, it was a satisfying win, and one that the Bills definitely needed, but 13-10, as the final score indicates, was *not* a foregone conclusion.

I swear more people are hating on Josh now than last week.
Last week he cost us the game.
This week, thorugh maturity and adjustments, he helped us win it.
If you follow the GDT thread, that's not necessarily a good benchmark. To sum it up, HC, OC, DC should be fired / left in Detroit. Allen is terrible, of course.
Outside of the GDT context, I don't really see people hating on Josh in this thread.

I'm pretty much a Sunday - Tuesday poster on TBD, and I check in each day on OTW. But thanks for this!

If this is minor adversity, I don't want to know what major adversity looks like
Yeah, Tom Clancy (RIP!) could've written that one. Jack Ryan diffuses a bomb then successfully plays CB for the Bills where they win a Super Bowl -- before becoming a 12-term president, you know, just because. HAHA!

What is this crap? “Claw their way into the playoffs”? They’re going to be favored in every game the rest of the year. They’re much more likely to get the #1 seed than miss the playoffs.
It isn't crap at all. The team has issues, and I expect it to be a dogfight through the rest of the season and into the playoffs. Did I say that they were going to lose out or miss the playoffs? Nope, so not sure why you are bent out of shape. But with KC and the Bills' record and with the Titans being pretty good, do you foresee the Bills getting the #1 seed? And if so, why?
Just now, AlfaBill said:And the Browns are legit?
Well, you didn't mention the Browns in your list of 3, so...

I see. So when the stomped the Rams, Titans and Steelers it was fake news?
Of the 3, only the Titans seem to be legit.

As of right now, the entire AFC East is in the playoffs.
That's why the Bills have to keep going, winning the division or not. Maybe they get some breaks by way of Tua's head falling off, or the Jets crashing back to the ground, or a combination of gaffes in New England, but I would be surprised if this doesn't go down to the wire.

That’s the point though. This team can’t rely on a unicorn QB bailing out lack of a running game and a D that Cant sun a game for you.
I know, but if the Bills can *claw* their way into the playoffs, which I hope is a takeaway theme from this game, then who knows?

It is a confidence thing. Not trusting himself right now. He is starting to feel it though.
Still sensing arm/elbow troubles as well. I think that once he loosens up it gets better. Maybe he's getting shots as well. Who knows?

A SB favorite team like the bills should handle them easily.
Of course, but that's not where the Bills are after the past 2 weeks. Needed to get a W with a slightly hobbled JA17, Davis doing Davis things, questionable coaching decisions, and fielding everybody's worst nightmare in the secondary. And they did.

Does Dane Jackson EVER look back and try and find the ball ?
He went to a seminar about always looking ahead. Seems to be working in that context.

u-g-l-y win. I don't think that Josh is 100%, like at all or even close to it. The team can run now, though. That's cool. The secondary is going to remain an issue unless White returns and Elam returns. Not sure about timetable for the much-maligned Edmunds. Some fiery exchanges. Good. The team isn't dead yet. But Thanksgiving, and not to steal thunder from @teef, is far from a cakewalk.

Who is Orlando Jones?
Any relation to Brooklyn Decker?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Replacements_(film)
He's as real of a player as Rod Tidwell.

Detroit has me a little worried.
The Bills started showing signs of life today, including a run game (hallelujah!), but every team is a concern at this point.

Yeah, I feel like they reinvented the game of football. On Thanksgiving day, I'm looking forward to the leather helmets. I kid, I kid...

Diggs caught complaining to McDermott on broadcast

It's a thing, but a good thing. The team needed a spark early on, and I think that premier plays like Diggs stepping up was absolutely huge.
