  1. I think Shady has one more year left in him. He can still shake defenders, and can catch the ball out of the backfield at a decent rate. He helped us break our playoff drought, so I'm hoping he gets one more chance somewhere, like Gore is getting.
  2. Tasker shined on the biggest stage at the highest level year after year, and dominated many pros who are already in the Hall of Fame. Also, when some of those same Hall of Famers have said that Steve deserves to be in, then that's good enough for me.
  3. I'm from Kansas, and have been a Bills fan all my life, so most of the Bills games that I've attended were when they played the Chiefs (who I don't like at all), and it was interesting wearing my Bills gear in Arrowhead Stadium, surrounded by a sea of red. I finally did get the chance to fly to Buffalo, and see the Bills play a home game, which was a season opener, and it was definitely a dream come true for me.
  4. Great post! Great day for honoring their memories!
  5. Thanks for posting this. I remember that I was in my vehicle, and I pulled over to get an update of this game on my phone, so I was sitting in some lot on the final drive, and on the last play with 5 seconds, I was hoping they would just do a quick out pattern to Watkins.....of course most people were probably thinking something similar as well, and sure enough!
  6. Great leaders stepping up for a great cause!
  7. Coach Shula was one of the greatest coaches ever, and was a great leader on and off the field. RIP Coach Shula
  8. Steve Tasker was my favorite player for many reasons. He came to my hometown when I was growing up, and spoke at our school. He has been a friend of my family for years, and has always been a role model for us. I've always admired his work ethic as well. He never gave up on a play, and gave all he had on every down. Steve's a great person off the field as well, and has always been a solid leader in a humble way. His motor as a player was off the charts, and I always tried to play like that when I was in high school. Later on when I became a coach, I tried to pass on his traits on and off the field.
  9. RIP, Mr. Tom Dempsey. I remember watching the highlight of that 63 yarder in amazement when I was a kid, and the impression it left on me as well. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Dempsey family.
  10. Good for Coach Frazier. He's a tremendous leader, and deserves some recognition.
  11. Gore was a class act and good mentor for Singletary. I don't blame him if he wants to watch his son play college ball, if that's his next step. It was nice to have this future Hall of Fame back on our team, even if it was for just a year.
  12. Tasker made plays all over the field against some of the fastest and greatest players in the League, who've made the Hall of Fame.....and he made many of them look bad over and over again.....and last time I checked, Special Teams does help win games!
  13. Steve Tasker was arguably one of the best Special Teamers of all time. They break these lists down into positions, and obviously he should be in the top 100 of any Special Teams list. Whoever said that Tasker wasn't that great doesn't know enough about what he accomplished in the NFL, and how many different Special Teams positions he not only was asked to play, but also how many of those positions he performed at the highest level in. By the way, he also played some Receiver as well as juggling all his other duties on Special Teams.
