I came here to appreciate the play of Isaiah, but don’t agree with the negative overtone of the OP’s post.

McKenzie was an absolute stud today and was the best Bills receiver, by far.  I think his game has progressed to the point where it’s fair to ask if he should in the slot ahead of Beasley.

Great game today!!  I hope you are all feeling as great as I am!!

So McKenzie was great last year, great in his first featured game this year, but I won't criticize the decision not to play him until we are in second place in the division.

    Come on man.  Ridiculous.

  2. It's amazing to me how beholden to McDip**** people are.  He's an absolutely awful headcoach that has zero scheme, buries talented players, and will never win a super bowl. We constantly get out coached by good coaches.  People are committed to him because he broken a losing streak. But he sucks

  3. Isaiah McKenzie is GOOD, very good.  He's been put in the dog house all year for no noticeable reason. This has been to the detriment to the team both on offense and special teams.  Not only does he belong on the field he belongs in the offense!!

This kid had a noticeable impact on the offense last season and we have been missing his athleticism this year. It took desperation of multiple COVID lists and a hampered Sanders to finally give this MAN a chance.  We aren't talking about a rookie but a guy that's been here for a few years now.

McDermott is a terrible leader (no accountability) and terrible recognition of talent, he clings to Tre White as his only accomplishment and constantly puts faith in undersized abs under skilled guys.

Isaiah McKenzie played a key role in our run game last year withhis explosiveness and that has been missing all year.

It's terrible we need to rely on injuries of our talent to get on the field because the coach won't do it.

I'm so over McDermott, he can't coach a winning, talented football team.

This was one of the ugliest and scariest incidents I've ever seen in a game.

Parham pretty obviously never regained consciousness, even as they were wheeling him off the field after a sustained delay...with his hands convulsing nervously.

IMO, Buck and Aikman deliberately refrained from saying ANYTHING as the scene was already more than gruesome enough.

Convulsing??? But Joe Buck said he was shaking because it was cold.

Seeing as how the Commissioner decides, and Meyer was caught doing several unethical things, including allegedly assaulting an employee, I bet you're wrong.

Assaulting an employee? It's football... So any time a player shoves a coach or a player gets in a fight with another player is just cause to cut then and not pay?

To be honest I think the Jags let it go so long to document document document many work related issues in order to make their case... we'll see through.

But the things reported like benching players or challenging your assistant coaches on their record calling them losers isn't just cause.  Meyer sitting at a bar off the clock in what is a poor look for him and his marriage also doesn't show any illegal or just cause behavior. What did he do to breach his contract?

To be honest the thing he did most that would most be behavior that would land him in hot water was cutting players due to vaccination status.

Actually your post shows the pass wasn’t as perfect as it looked and the DB got his hand ? I n there before he had a chance to haul it in. He also got up and over to a place the rest of our smurf receivers never would have gone, nice job thanks for making the case for a taller receiver...

No, it really doesnt, ball was well out of his control by the time the DB got his hand there, ball was already free floating away after clanking of his hand. By the time the DB touched Duke's arm, Duke had already completely turned his body and ball was away from him not touching his hand(s) at all.

If you got a DVR, pull it up. Clear drop on what was a contested catch. But that's what happens with a guy like Duke who is a fringe roster player.

IT WAS A PASS BREAK UP. Your shots CLEARLY show the DB got his arm in there and disrupted the play. NOT THE SAME AS A DROP!

LMAO!!! The DB never hooked his arm until WELL after losing control.

You started a thread with a terribly misleading picture of what you claim caused the ball to not be caught when it clearly hit him in the hands with no contact until after it clanked off him.

You purposely tried to mislead people its beyond ridiculous.

You obviously have an agenda and clearly don't care about looking at the facts as you purposely distorted and mislead in your opening post.

    Good day. I'm out.

His left arm was hooked which forced an alligator arm attempt. There is NO QUESTION that he makes the catch if that didnt happen. In slow mo you can see he almost still made the grab. Great defense by the DB. Can we PLEASE put to bed the idea this was a drop???

On another note...why are you Duke haters so quick to label this guy as either a #5 or even not good enough to be in the league WHEN HE WAS A ROOKIE with very few games under his belt??

Why do top draft picks get the benefit of the doubt based on lack of experience when they are the ones supposed to be so much better than the undrafted guys? Seems undrafted guys are expected to kill it out the gate or they shouldnt be on the team. Duke has 5 NFL games under his belt. Lets compare his first 5 games to DK Metcalf who has a future HOF throwing to him and was the #2 guy on the roster:

    DK -

    26 Targets
    12 Receptions
    2 TD
    267 Yards

    DuKe-

    29 Targets
    16 Receptions
    1 TD
    215 Yards

If Duke had Russell Wilson as his QB, who doubts Duke doesnt have just as good or better numbers than DK?? Let's be real here.

    FAKE NEWS!!!! YOU FRAUD!!!!

You cherry picked a moment in the play WELL after the ball got there! It's 2020, people have DVRs you know! I pulled the game up and looked and you fraudulently claim this caused the ball to not be caught but the ball clanked off his hands well before he arm wasnt hooked at all before the ball got there!!!

Here's a sequence of screen shots everyone!!! From TWO angles!!

The DBs arm is across his stomach and no where near hooking his arm until WELL after Duke dropped the ball!!

You realize Josh didn’t have to target Duke right? What a dumb comment. Josh obviously has a connection w Duke timing and feel wise.

You realize that the coaching staff put him on the field for 66% of the snaps (more than Beasley) and gave him a huge role in the gameplan... Not just connecting those targets by chance, right? What a dumb comment.

Why do Bills fans want to look at anyone and everywhere OTHER THAN JOSH ALLEN HIMSELF to explain Josh Allen's performance?

    I don't get it.

It's like your car won't start, so you accuse the maid of not washing the kitchen floor well enough.

    WTF?

I think the better analogy would be you get a car frame and build your own hot rod from the frame up. You bore out cylinders to the size you want and have the engine professionally tuned. You aren't quite getting the performance you want so you start questioning if the engine was tuned correctly.

Seriously though, everyone knows it's on Allen, they are just questioning if he's receiving the correct guidance in his progression as a player and if he can be improving even more than what he has... Considering the massive strides this season I'd say he's got the right support, if he plateaus i might be concerned but really at the QB position he's going to be improving every year and may not reach his prime for another 3 more years.

    WOOSH....

Art Vandalay (e a whatever) is an architect when he invents him. It was a joke... As in I am Art Vandalay, not George. ?

Is there any doubt in your mind that Josh needs more practical, game relevant PRACTICE??  There should be no melt-down events in any game if he’s totally prepared to play the position.  I’ve seen that type of play from Rob, J.P. and EJ.  It’s a red flag for even the rawest rookie.

Where is Allen’s QB coach Ken Dorsey?  He supposedly helped Cam Newton with the Panthers.

Josh has been working for 2 years in CA with Jordan Palmer’s private Company “QB Summit”.  They stress footwork and include ‘yoga on the beach’!!  Jordan Palmer completed 11 passes in the NFL career and is really a spiritual guru rather than a coach/trainer.   Josh has said he’s going back for a 3rd year.

    Per Jordan’s web-site:

The quarterback rooms I’ve been in have been filled with names such as Jason Campbell, Jay Cutler, Blaine Gabbert, Chad Henne, Carson Palmer, EJ Manuel, Josh Mccown, Jimmy Clausen and many others. I’ve lifted with linemen, ran with wideouts and studied with coaches. The experiences I’ve gained over my career have shaped me into the coach I am today.  The emotional side of the game is the common thread that is woven into every aspect of the QB position. We help QBs to self-generate confidence, handle success and adversity, and challenge themselves to use their platform for good.

Personally, I think it’s all BS!

Tom Brady's guru and mentor Tom Martinez didn't play a single snap in the NFL nor ever coach in the NFL.

He has spent seven years as an OC. His total offensive ranking, in points were 11, 11, 11, 25, 10, 12, 1. So, a top 12 offense (Pts scored) in 6 of 7 years. As far as the passing game, he had Alex Smith early, then Kaepernick, then Taylor, and then Jackson. None of them were close to being upper echelon passers in terms of yardage. However, everyone of them had their career year in terms of TD% under Roman.

This year, Jackson had a TD% of 8.98 compared to last year when it was 3.4. The league average was 4.5. Since 1970, There have been only two performances of a QB, playing at least 14 games, having a higher TD% than Jackson did. There isn't a QB in the modern era (since 1970) that has a career TD% over 6 (the leader there, as an aside, is Russell Wilson at 6%).

The point is: Roman may not rack up the passing yards (given the QBs he has had to work with); however, he gets the most out of them and the offense, point production wise - and, in the end, that is what counts.

    Spot on.

He's no bum, but if he's so great why can't he sustain success and keep a job?

He's a smash mouth guy in a passing league. He works well with mobile QBs for a year or two then flames out. Harbaugh had a big hand in SF too don't forget.

I justthink the league is wise to the fact his offense has a shelf life. I'd be shocked if Baltimore Quinn's the super bowl with that scheme even though it was highly successful during the season.

I have no idea how he would be as a HC; however, Roman is an excellent OC.

Is he? He's never had an offense post back to back years in the Top 15 in yards.

His offenses have finished as Top 25 in passing yards only once in 2012 with SF.

How is it that even with picture and video evidence there can be people denying that it was clear DPI and not a drop. NFL caliber Wrs drop much easier balls than that routinely.

NFL impact WRs make that catch, hit him square in the hands. Contested catches always have contact, that's the nature of contested catches and thus impact players make those.

Duke just isn't that good. That's why he was undrafted, went to the CFL, and was a rookie at age 26.

Bottom of the roster fringe talent.

Keep building the WR corps so we don't have to watch guys like him.

  15. I'd love to see Belichick go home to Jersey and take over the Giants. Belichick wanted Jimmy G, he didn't want to trade him, now Brady showed serious decline and there's no successor. Belichick can jump to that Giants job he always wanted in his home state and has Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley to lead the offense and do whatever he wants with the defense to build his next long running contender and prove it was him not Brady diving that dynasty.

    • Haha (+1) 1
  16. Duke didn't catch it because he's not an NFL caliber impact WR, he's an undrafted fringe roster worthy CFL free agent signing.

Beane needs to finish building this WR corp. The 2018 WR group was an embarrassment for any professional football team trying to win. Adding Brown and Beasley was a massive improvement but the remainder of the group is just as bad as 18 and has zero draft capital invested in it.

It's lunacy that Duke, who didn't even dress half the year and sparingly played got 10 targets and the largest script in the passing game in our playoff matchup. That's on coaching 100%. It's a slap in the face to Brown and Beasley too, those guys should be ripping.

The call we should really be pissed about is that terrible crack back block. This crucial of a game you absolutely cannot call that a penalty, it was a terrible call but the non kneel down would have been a bush league TD, it's my opinion and you obviously have yours. To me that should already have been in the rulebook.

The Texan returner screwed up and had a brain fart. Making mistakes cost you playoff games. If the Texans recovered Allen's lateral mistake do we get the ball back? No.

Don't reward or take away punishment of dumb mistakes.
