  1. did we bring him in to be our drop specialist.
  2. My impression is that the Bills assign a very high value to "knowing the system" and as a consequence don't consider the possibility of geting 90% of the production for 25% of the price.
  3. Your post does not seem supported at all by the data. What the data actually shows is that since 1972, is that 67% of the time, the polling data error is skewed towards the left wing candidate, and 33% of the time for the GOP candidate. So if stats hold, it is 67% like the polling data skews in favor of the Dems. And the threat of job loss and violence faced by Trump supporters in blue areas has tended to cause an undertandment of Trump support in the last two elections. These two elections are probably the most relevent data points.
  4. The quality of the product has declined and is declining. However popularity is not declining. From a business perspective that is all that matters. If the league loses an old man die hard fan, and adds 2 young taylor swift fans to its viewing ranks, the NFL sees that as a win. Saturation is not an issue either. 40 years ago, I could watch two games on Sunday and one on Monday. I rarely watched more than two. Now I watch four or five games almost every week. I suspect I am not alone.
  5. Everything is possible. That is why I refer constantly to likely outcomes.
  6. we have cooper for 11 games plus playoffs. thats not much time, unless you think it really changes how deep the team can go in the playoffs.
  7. Milano playing at a high level after so long of the field seems less likely to me. I expected Oliver and Johnson to play in my initial assessment the Bills would not make a deep playoff run. But I do think that the there is something that makes the Bills think a 11 game rental player is worth a third round pick, at this time.
  8. I think people are going to be shocked at how good Miller plays when he comes back. Back to elite pass rusher level.
  9. I agree you don’t know what to tell me.
  10. Apologies for the awkward title. I love the cooper trade. It will make the games more fun to watch. Having said that I felt the Bills were going to win the AFCE without Cooper. And we we would bow out of the playoffs in the divisional round. Adding Cooper does not move the dial on those expectations. But I don’t think Beane would make this trade unless he thought the dial will be moved. And the main thing I see they could move this dial is a return to 2022 form for Von Miller after he returns from his suspension. That plus cooper definitely would up my expectations.
  11. People forget that the Bills defense is the most complex in NFL, and it can’t be expected a rookie can ever understand it well enough to play a lot of snaps.
  12. but we don't want to consider that. we just want to focus on the wizardry of 807k, as if we didn't eat the dead cap.
  13. Can either of these kickers figure out how to make sure there FG attempts at the end of half’s, happen as the clock is running out. If so I want that guy
  14. Coach thinks way to highly of his system. The best coaches figure out how to utilize the best players. Full stop.
  15. Here is a list of NFL Practice Squad Kickers currently Ryland was drafted by the Patriots, and struggled but was great Maryland Alex Hale is an Australian Rules guy Spencer Shrader made 154 out 156 PAT trys during his college career (98.7%) Charlie Smith played Gaelic football Jude McA was also a Gaelic football player with bad stats for Rutgers Shrader might be worth a look, so at least XPs are not an adventure. But he is not going to be kicking 55 yarders with ease.
  16. Diggs (age 30) and a 6th,5th,3rd, and a seventh for Cooper (Age 30) and a Second and a Sixth is the net WR Trade
  17. McDermott, in his mind, never makes a coaching mistake. It is always execution. He coaches like the thinks his talent is Jr. high school level, and that only through his brilliant schemes and play calls (I know babich is supposedly calling the d) can such a group of jr highers be made remotely functional. this is a good analysis.
  18. 4 in 19 years. 300 games. 1.33 percent of his games.
  19. I woke up today with the realization that I feel the same way about Bass and McDermott. Both are good enough to be part of a Josh Allen led 4-2 team. And I expect both to let me down in critical situations.
