this is exactly how you'd beat buffalo with that garbage offense in NE. It'll be the wind game, without the wind. Bill needs to get #300 and who better than buffalo to do it against.  Bills win if Dopey Dorsey doesn't show up. If he does. Itll probably look at lot like the NYG game. #unchainallen

Yep. Dopey Dorsey showed up… again. 1-2 in the division. They won’t make the playoffs playing this way.

Not feeling good about this one.  Pats* are going to run right up the gut over and over and without Jones and Oliver and undersized LBs I feel like the Bills are vulnerable right up the middle.  You'll see tons of short passes from Maccorkle because of breezy conditions.  Could come down to a FG in the end.  I just don't see any kind of Bills blowout.

The Gabe drop was a killer.

We finally had momentum.  Puts us from being 1st down in FG range, down 4 with plenty of time left, to 3rd and long / punt.

effing loser lost us the game. He catches that, its a different ball game. "bIG gAmE GAbE" so stupid.

Ok I’m going to get blasted

i had this as a L at the beginning of the season.

I don’t like the London game and I’m not excited for tomorrow morning to be honest.

lawrence has skill and they have excellent players.  They are underperforming right now.

idk just seems like traditional fashion the bills lay an egg

i hope this team is prepared and hungry to continue to strive for a championship

no stinkers please.  I just want you to prove you’re different and actually “show up “

this is a McDermott era “no show” game we have seen happen

Already had the no-show game week 1.

I also had this as an L as the Jags are like the Jets for some god forsaken reason for this franchise.

If things are TRULY different, they'll smoke them. The BBFS is real.

    Bills 38 Jags 17. LFG.

I’m guessing that during his time as a Bill he was on the field for 4000-5000 snaps, yet people struggle to come up with more than a few game changing plays.  That sums up why he is no longer a Buffalo Bill.

you're right about everything about why hes not a bill performance wise. However,  if his price tag was 5 million a year, we'd be stuck with him. They simply couldn't afford him. Broken clocks are right twice a day.

Andddd this is why I hate fans. Four weeks into the season people take massive brush strokes on rookies with no thinking behind it or giving time for things to play out.

-Kincaid is third on the Bills in receptions and yards

-He is pacing for the 5th most receptions ever by a rookie TE

-Only two rookie TEs ever have even broke 1000 yards and just five have broke 800 yards

-11 TE's in the history of the NFL as a rookie have broken 600 yards, by comparison 6 rookie WRs last year broke 600 yards. It is a legitimately difficult position to learn and integrate a new player year one.

-The Bills offense is still working in many new pieces at this point it is far from a finished product

-If you watch All 22 Kincaid is open 24/7 and doing his part, Josh is building trust and learning to find him. The Jets game Kincaid could've had a 100 yards easily if Josh stopped playing hero ball

-Plenty of players as rookies come on hot and hit the rookie wall, others take their time in the first half of the season and find their wings

its like nobody pays attention. smh

I wish that I was as bad as Edmunds so I could get his contract. These NFL guys need to be hiring the scouts on this board since everyone knows how bad Edmunds is and it could have saved them some $. Those players, coaches, and scouts that voted him one of the top LB's must be pretty dumb too. Have they ever watched football. Maybe someone on this thread can give them a lesson in playing MLB in the NFL.

Then, pack on 200more lbs of muscle grow 6" and run head long into walls of men. apparently being large and ineffective gets you paid in the NFL.

No I tell them to watch a game or two from last year and compare to this year so they can see how obviously they are used differently.

So, you're saying the teachable moment came and went? You'll get 'em next time. 1 of these players CAN and one of them, CANT. Edmunds was trash despite his freakish size. That much is evident. McDermott has two milano's now. That makes McClappinstuff very happy, I'd imagine.

I agree. Just for example was Tremaine not asked to blitz because they always wanted him in coverage or because he just wasn't very good at it? TB seems to have the skill set to do that. McD is not a blitz happy defensive coach but he can be effective calling them selectively.

He was asked to blitz plenty. All I / We ever saw was edmunds washed by some middling guard, or taking the wrong hole and yes, you guessed it, got washed out for no impact. Good QB's recognized it, and heyyyy what do you know a giant hole over the middle formed. They stopped asking Edmunds to blitz because he can't do it. Watch Cover 1 on bernard and how he selects the proper holes to hit.... The difference in Edmunds game vs Bernards game is like watching a toddler try to race a varsity athlete. Poor ol tremaine, never had it between the ears where it counts, and he never will.

Whats funny is that I see Bills fans, not here but elsewhere, saying Bernard plays in a different defense than Tremaine. Saying Edmunds should’ve been used the way Bernard is used. And people wonder why the Edmunds threads won’t die, it’s constant conversation.

Do you point out that it's the same defense, and that Edmunds just wasn't very good?

  11. Just chiming in to say, god I love this thread and all contained within.

Kudos to all those who trusted what they SAW with their own eyes VS what some knucklehead on TV or the internet foisted upon you.

The great Edmunds debate is over. He is who we knew he was. Donte Whitner + Mike Williams + Trent Edwards all wrapped up in a linebacker. Insane.

Now this stat is from about 6 years ago, but between 1999-2015, a QB sneak on 4th and 2 or less were successful 89.7% of the time.

    https://sports.sites.yale.edu/success-short-yardage-play-types-fourth-down

Now, granted... on 4th and 1 it drops to 82.8% for the QB Sneak, but that's still significantly more successful than the 63.4% success rate of all non QB run plays, but an 82%+ percent success rate on 4th and short along with having a 6'5, 240+ lb QB makes the answer obvious.

Any (and I mean ANY) time it's 4th and short (definitely less than 1... 2 or less in certain parts of the field) you don't huddle up... you don't take timeouts... you run up and hike the darn ball and run Allen under center for the 1st down!

This has been a huge frustration of mine ever since we've drafted Allen. That's on Daboll... period.

Absolutely spot on. Our dude is 6’5” 250… it’s a 1000% certainty they convert on 3rd or 4th and 1 or less running a sneak. EVERY EFFING TIME. Maddening to watch Philly do it, yet buffalo wants to get cute… maddening

This is so delightful to keep reading. After all the homers constantly and vociferously telling us he's good.  *Chef's kiss*, I hope this thread continues, not because of Edmunds, but so the Edmunds Truthers can sit there and be reminded about their homerism lol

Yessss king. Yes. We all need to learn around here to remove the rose colored glasses. It wasn’t even hard with edmunds.  Yet “you don’t know football” and worse… numbers don’t lie fellas. Politicians do.
