Round #1 - WR (4.3 speed or better) diggs, kincaid and shakir have the underneath
Round #2 - DL (beane cant help himself ) currently rousseau, epenesa, von, ed, daquan
Round #3 - NONE
Round #4 - OL ( bills have no depth right now)
Round #4 - Safety
I can't see Beane sitting out round 3.

It overall doesn't. You could argue they will want to draft a G/C, but I think that was already the case before Morse ...
Agree. I don't like having to rely on the assumption that McGovern is a center and Edwards is as effective as McGovern at guard.

Push these out a week. Having guys visit in spring with 4 inches of snow on the ground isn't a great first impression. The weather here stinks right now. Yuk. Finny because we actually had a great winter.
I love the snow. Every cold brisk day is a gift.

First or 2nd round WR now and the WR room is looking good.
To not draft a top end WR in a WR heavy draft would be criminal.

Please just draft a cost-controlled rookie who has strong WR1 potential. Enough with the side shows.

I'll say Beane will turn the 11 picks into no less than 8 to have a pick in Rounds 1-4.
Round 1, Pick 28
Round 2, Pick 60
Round 4, Pick 129
Round 4, Pick 133 (via compensatory)
Round 5, Pick 143 (from CHI)
Round 5, Pick 159 (from GB)
Round 5, Pick 162
Round 6, Pick 198 (from LAR)
Round 6, Pick 202 (from DAL)
Round 6, Pick 206
Round 7, Pick 246

If Milano weren't playing, I'd say Dorian Williams without hesitation.

1) Good enough as a backup and playing on affordable rookie contract
or
2) Showcase him in the first pre-season game and trade him

If you get a boa, you will in time also get rats. They get along for about 3 minutes. Circle of life.

Just say "No" to trading picks for veteran players with big salaries. Do the Bills truly suck at evaluating WR talent?

I miss Poyer already.

I’m sure both McDermott and Beane hated doing this. The business end of the nfl sucks
Ideally, Beane was the clear hatchet man and made it easier for McDermott.

7th round pick who escapes the Browns to become an All-Pro with the Red, White, and Blue. Well done. Dude hit.

I think it’s a great day! They’re actually trying to move in the right direction. Bills may or may not take a step back initially but this will definitely pay off down the line.
Exactly. It's no slam on these great Bills players. Not at all. The only constant is change.

I'd be ok with edge in round 1. WR is deep. They can find an impact WR in round 2.
Agree. Just please don't make it a reach or give up picks to move up.

If you were looking for $$, Hill would be an easy mark given his reputation.

If we let go of Douglas this staff is outright ridiculous. He was our best defender down the stretch last year. And it wasn’t even close.
........plus the expenditure of a 3rd round pick.....

Pairing all that in, maybe a trade up is inevitable? There is a lot of great talent in this draft @ WR. Though only a handful of guys who are seen as legitimate #1 dominant guys.
I'd prefer not to trade up. Really hate seeing a rd 3-5 pick used for a trade-up when there is never really a "sure thing".

Are there people who would have chosen Butler over Babich for DC?

- Separation skills and hands above all for the WR. If the receiver can't separate until deep or late, then there are few opportunities for them to contribute. If they can only separate in the short areas, then we have another slot guy - which we don't need. Downfield blocking, size, and height for contested catches are secondary. For the times you can't "scheme a guy open", you want some natural separation skills.
- Replacing Davis is thinking too small. Bills need to draft a guy to be the #1 because by the time he "gets it" in year 2, Diggs won't be a dominant #1. Think ahead, not behind. Then, by all means do draft another receiver in rounds 3-5 that has scary speed or high RAS.

Marino was one heck of a QB. Even though, back in the day, we all loathed him, Dan played at a high level for many many years.
He just never had a Thurman.

I'm ok with the trade. If this is a bit of a reboot year with letting costly vets go then sure, do it all at once and move on. I'm actually glad to see the Bills move a player a year early rather than a year too late.
