I'm thinking/hoping for the opposite. If their targeted value player is gone (G Newsome) they will trade back with Philly seven spots and get Z Ertz.
The mentality is to have a balance: Strive to be good for a long time - which means drafting good players at expensive positions yet have short term year over year improvements (TE1 Ertz > D Knox).
If they get Ertz and the eagles 37th for our 1, I am all for that. Drop 7spots and pick an immediate impact player.

anthony swartz from auburn, smaller sized wr with olympic speed. Would come into the NFL as one of the top 3 fastest guys in the league. Could really help open the field up. Very raw player with big upside as a late round pick

I am not going to guess who the Bills draft. BUT, I will put my money on them moving up and trading next yrs 1 to do so. Bills are gonna go with the mentality that theyll be drafting 30 or later again next yr, and use that 1 as a win now mind set. Just Have no clue who'd they convey in moving up. Player would need to drop at least to mid teens.

I dont think teams get to just randomly sign players in the international path way program. pretty sure NFL delegates where they go.

So I’m sure this means no more Ertz to Buffalo. Philly was probably asking to high of a draft pick and they weren’t budging off what they wanted
Not exactly. Hollister is more of a attached TE and will be more a Lee Smith replacement. Bills still need a receiving TE to push Knox

This replaces Lee Smith, Bills still in line for a TE

I don’t know how anyone on here can be so definitive in their views either way. Had anyone seen him play in practice over the past few years?
I'm so definitive because I've seen enough of him, understand what it takes to make, been around this game/people long enough to know he has 0 chance. Not to mention hes going to be 30yrs old. Great story but not going to happen

I think you underestimate the level of his talent. When the Bills were preparing for the Ravens, Wade was the guy who played Lamar Jackson on the scout team, because he was the only guy the Bills had with that combination of quickness and speed.
The guy is really talented. It's only a question of whether he can learn enough to play the game.
I dont underestimate anything. Hes an athlete that was able to play scout team (non contact) and simulated Jacksons speed... He is not a RB or an NFL caliber player... You over exaggerate his abilities.

Theres 0 chance this guy ever makes the final roster. I dont understand how people keep thinking he has some kind of value to the team. If it wasnt for the PS exemption he'd never of made the PS.

Everyone thats using JB injuries as he reason for the Bills cutting him makes no sense. Have you seen Sanders injury history? Hasnt played 16game season since 2016, and hes now 34yrs old.

When healthy one of the best deep threats in the NFL.

This only means one thing. The bills are trading allen for either Wilson or Watson.

This is a really nice move. Upgrade over Barkley and could develop some value as a trade asset or as a comp pick later down the road for some desperate QB teams
100% agree, as long as the price is low this is a great pickup

I have learned the purpose of the cap is protect teams from fans anger about not signing guys. If you want the player the cap is not as big an obstacle as you think. Heck the best method seems to pay massive contracts so you then have more options for restrux, then eventually when they retire they restyrux again at league minumum and tons of the cap that was pushed back goes away.
Im starting to believe thats true.

The cardinals sit with 6mil of cap space and just signed AJ green to 6mil plus, and just traded for Rodney Hudson who is the highest paid center in the league. The cap is a mystery.
-
Im making this move all day long. At the very least force New England to give him a contract they dont want to give him this yr.
If they can make it fit with their cap its a no brainer

Edmunds will get better and better with incredible physical makeup. A wingspan and speed. Adding an impactful edge rusher or penetrating tackle would make him a star. You don't want him to reach his potential with another team If we don't add anything, he makes 100+ tackles . Every team needs that.
100 tackles a year is a pretty overrated stat when you're making them 4plus yards down field. He doesnt have natural instincts to read a run play, and constantly gets caught in the wash... Its like having a 6'3"ft 235 RB with 4.3 speed but cant find the hole and has terrible vision. (trent richardson)

I really think Edmunds will have a breakout year in this defense and we would have to pay him big dollars...I'm not objected to the idea of trading him but not for a TE.
I've watch Every game of pitts the last 2 yrs. Dude is like Kelce or Kittle, and has really improved his blocking.

IF he were to fall to A LB needy team would you trade Edmunds and our 1st for Kyle Pitts? Edmunds is going to start to cost the Bills a lot of money after this year, and hasnt shown hes worth it. Pitts would make the offense as deadly as the Chiefs and would obviously be on a rookie deal for the next 4years.

cordarrelle Paterson for the right price would fill 3spots on the roster. 3rd RB, 5th WR and kick returner. Could be a booster over Roberts, as hes a little more of a contributor being able to fill in at several spots.

This is a joke right? You know 12 is a personnel grouping right?

Is it a negative or something that we made a great play to end the game or something?
We cannot dominate every team.
No, my point is people are acting like the Pats cant beat the Bills with Cam. Game 1 showed they can if they limit mistakes.

When they get a real QB to worry about let me know.
That "real" qb nearly beat the Bills the first game. Lets not act like the Bills dominated both games last year. If it wasnt for a great play from the Bills Dlineman, that game probably has a different outcome.
Trade 1 for a young proven player

Is there a player out there, that the bills could trade there 1 for that could be available? Player under 27 yrs old, that could step in right away. Similar to what the Rams have been doing.
