  10. He is a flawed man for sure and the Knight argument has been fought every which ways, but one thing that can be said for his program over most others and its what college is about, most of Coach knights players come out of program with a education , while far to many by educational degree lucky to be hamburger flippers from what they have learned in college. -I am glad to see you on wall again

  12. as stated in top of thread: Simon is suspended a minimum of 25 games, including Saturday night's game against Washington plus the 14 that remain in the 2006-07 regular season. If the Islanders do not qualify for the 2007 playoffs, or play fewer than 10 playoff games in the 2007 playoffs, Simon would serve additional games at the start of the 2007-08 regular season to satisfy the minimum term of the suspension.
  13. some details about Chris Simon I know its wikipedia, but some details about the man.
  14. Simon suspended a minimum of 25 games This comes from 590 The Fan Radio in Toronto and TSN. Simon is suspended a minimum of 25 games, including Saturday night's game against Washington plus the 14 that remain in the 2006-07 regular season. If the Islanders do not qualify for the 2007 playoffs, or play fewer than 10 playoff games in the 2007 playoffs, Simon would serve additional games at the start of the 2007-08 regular season to satisfy the minimum term of the suspension.

  16. In last evenings Isalander - Ranger game, Chris Simon reacted to to a hit by slashing Ryan Hollweg across the face with his stick. Hollweg went done and appeared out for awhile, he ended up with cut on chin. Hollweg returned to the game, Simon was given a major penalty , on which Rangers scored the gaming winning goal. Simon clearly just lost it, and with be seeing Colin Campbell shortly , clearly he will be suspended. Some are saying because Hollweg got up and was able to continue playing Simons suspension will not be that long. Others are saying Simon will be suspended for remainder of year and because it was such a foolish act he will not find a NHL job again, and much like McSorely , Simon's career will be over due to his actions. Clearly Simon chopped Hollweg with stick, can't see anything less than twenty game suspension, that he did not injure Hollweg was only by good fortune for Hollweg, the injury could have been horrific, any suspension has to reflect that. imo

  19. Conklin Conklin was named to the 2004 U.S. World Championship team. Upon joining Team USA, Conklin's strong play helped the team capture the bronze medal and he was subsequently named the Top Goaltender in the tournament. In the summer of 2006, Conklin was signed as a free agent by the Columbus Blue Jackets. Conklin's stay in Columbus would last only half a season. After going 2-3-2 and recording a 3.30 GAA in 11 appearances the netminder was dealt to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for a 2007 2nd round draft pick. A member of the U.S. World Cup team in 2004, Conklin returned to the Worlds' in 2005. - I suppose this is what writer is alluding to. Olympic Team and World Cup Team by some perceived as the same.
