I think he wanted paid - and to win.  I think he was frustrated here because he had to play out his fifth year option with no extension and we weren’t all that competitive as a team.  He got both with NE.  Until recently that is.  Now he’s just getting paid.

Those are all valid points, in essence, ya can’t really blame him, the Bills were not at that time a winning organization.

    1) he didn’t get traded from Buffalo

    2) he wanted to get paid; it had nothing to do with not wanting to be in Buffalo—that’s just something fans say practically every time a player leaves and gets big money elsewhere

Yes I was wrong on the trade thing, but he sure didn’t want to be here, and played that way towards the end, that can’t really be argued

Makes sense.  Watched some of the 49ers game yesterday.  Gilmore was playing like he didn’t want to be there.

That’s why he was let go from the Bills team, he didn’t want to be here...

I'm not getting on Bass but that's a poor comparison with a WR. A WR with 6 catches for 50 yards is much different than a K missing 2 kicks in a close game

That kicker scored all of the teams points in a win, wtf else does the guy need to do ? The guy who wins the game for you gets a game ball, what’s so hard to grasp about that?

He is now, as a rookie, tied for the most kicks made in an NFL game by the way...

It just goes to show that STs are indeed considered the red headed step child of NFL football 😂

Go bills. How’d duke do today

Do ya feel better know? 🤣 Glad I could help you with your emotional well-being, 😂, by the way did you forget that it’s a game played for entertainment ya knucklehead... oh by the way how did the offense do? Zero points. Does that make you happy too? What a dismal personality you show here, anyway, nuthin but luv... on to the pats, and working at securing the AFCE title!

But this is exactly the point.

Your argument is “he’s the only one to score points so he deserves a game ball”.

    Which makes absolutely no sense.

If you think 6/8 is acceptable for a FG kicker and give him a game ball for that, that’s one thing. As much as I disagree with that.

But saying “He’s the only one who scored points  so he deserves a game ball” makes absolutely 0 sense. By that logic, he can go 1/10 and the bills win 3-0 but hey! He’s the only one who’s scored the points so let’s give him a contract extension cause he won the game with those 3 points!

Please already, ffs, what do you not understand, he won us the game, I’m out.

To the players who did their jobs well lol.

    Beasley.

    Hughes

    Jackson.

    Allen (to a certain degree)

With your logic the bills can win 3-0

and bass can go 1 for 8 on FG attempts,  but he gets the game ball cause he got the only points..

Do you now see how that makes no sense?

He’s the only guy who scored points, those points he scored won the game, none of those other guys scored any points, your being thick on purpose now, he won us the game, it’s you who makes no sense, coulda woulda mighta don’t mean anything, you should get a job with PFF...

I really don’t understand that logic.

As sketchy as the offence was at times, they had 8 drives to give them scoring opportunities. Bass delivered on only 6 of them, which is 75 percent and is well below average.

If he goes 4/8 and they win 12-10, does he still get a game ball?

The defence basically shut down the jets to what was it, 4 yards or something In the 2nd half?

Saying bass is the “only one” who scored points is an extremely shallow way of looking at the game and how the game played out IMO.

But he didn’t, and if he did score the only points for his team, and they win he gets the game ball, no one else scored any points, who the hell else are you going to give the game ball to?

    Not in my opinion TBH.

    6/8 isn’t good enough.

He is lucky the defence played extremely well to cover up his misses, especially that 37 yard shank in the 2nd half.

Bass was the only guy scoring points, he single leggedly won us the game. He gets a game ball, no question about it.

doesn’t seem like I am one with my head lodged somewhere since based on this reply you obviously didn’t read and/or understand anything I wrote. I can root for the team and be realistic about certain rostered players at the same time. It is possible you can try it someday.

    Whatever...

Any way, 5-2 beats the hell out of 4-3,

i don’t hate Duke. I dislike the subset of posters here who have latched on to him as some sort of savior. I wish Duke well but recognize what he is - a bottom 5 roster player at best.

i mean look the OP is saying now that duke can play tight end? Seriously? What else can Duke do should we throw him in at linebacker as well?

I’m kinda feeling sorry for you and the other “fans” who have a serious issues here, relax, and openly root for his success, after all it will mean Bills success.

All ya’ll need to  get over your struggling distemper already. Hell I openly root for every player, to include the PS guys. You and your cohort  hate on so many of our players... sad really, it’s game day! Get your head out of your - - - and root for the whole damn team.

    😁👍🍺 Go Bills!!!

I predict that the weirdly anti-Duke crowd will latch on to any opportunity to bash him.

Can’t give that crowd much credence, they all think DaRick Rodgers, who never actually made the team is on par with Williams who actually has an NFL career, and a game winning TD reception. That and those guys are all Browns and Pats fans anyway... 😁👍🍺

Come on, you were on here last year.
Duke the savior had more threads than anyone. He was the missing link to the offense being elite last year. He could go up and win contested catches and we only had the smurfs playing. He could block so good he could transition to tight end. Mr do it all was wasting away on the practice squad and our offense was struggling.

Context my friend, when we first brought him in he was all those things compared to the crap receiver Corp we had, remember those guys, and at that time he should have been used more, but we brought in Brown and Beasley, and he was less a priority for fans, although he should likely have seen more time that season as well, but that’s all in the past now, 😁👍🍺

Ugh I hate duke. Don’t know a single thing about his life, he might be a great guy.
However I’ve grown to hate him because of his fans. I hope he plays great. But people need to stop acting like we’re burying a secret 27 year old Calvin Johnson on the practice squad

No one thinks that, really, no one at all, ya got yourself all worked up over some kind of Russian / Iranian interference scam that’s not even remotely true, 😁👍
