I lean this way as well. Here's my pre-coffee analysis:

    It's one of two options:

    1) He wants to do damage to Barr's/Trump's narrative by subtly dropping a line or two which will encourage Congress to push harder.

    or

    2) He wants to save some face and put a ribbon on his part of this saga so he can move on.

If he wanted to do 1, he would testify openly. This statement says to me he has no plan to testify publicly. If he wanted to do 1, he'd take questions from the media and likely work with a reporter to plant/ask the right leading question to allow him to "go off script" enough to drop some red meat.

I think it's 2. He is going to save whatever face he can, and then essentially say his part is over.

Which makes sense for the roll out plan going on right now with Barr. If Barr were to start to declassify documents before Mueller ever spoke in public, there would be a BIG backlash (there will be a backlash regardless, but this would give their opponents more merit to their arguments). But now Mueller will speak, say what he'll say, and then Barr will be clear to move on to the next steps.

If it's number 2, then it's Barr forcing Mueller to give this press conference. I don't think that's the case.

    We'll see.

I surmise that he is smart enough to know that the questions will be leading, and full of untruths, so there is no point in trying to feed that animal.

    .

I surmise he still works for DOJ and is following the advice of his superiors.

Former US Attorney Joe diGenova said this about the three investigations (starting at around the 9 minute mark in audio below) –posed to be investigating leaks and a bunch of other things.  He stopped his investigation because of Horowitz so he’s a useless appendage who’s done nothing.  In fact, he’s supposed to be investigating Uranium One and yet he never contacted our law firm and we represent the key informant in the case, Doug Campbell.  So go figure!

And finally Durham, he’s the real McCoy.  He’s doing what Barr asked him to do which is get to the bottom of everything, empanel a grand jury, if necessary, turn indictments, if necessary.

The big question is whether Horowitz will put on his big boy pants and do something different than when he did the Page – Strzok thing, where he laid out all of his evidence of bias and then he said that there’s no evidence that [this] affected decisions.  What a bunch of crap!

I mean he basically went dead to help the institution of the FBI and senior people at the DOJ.  If he does that again, in the FISA thing, if I were the Attorney General, I’d fire him!

  4. The headline New York State Senate introduces bill to make texting while walking illegal is incorrect. The bill makes it illegal to text while in crosswalks.

"This is a bill that says don't text while crossing the street, wait the 10 seconds, to get to the other side," Queens Senator John Liu said.

    I'm for it.

How simplistically childish. You have any Fraggle Rock analogies to share (inappropriately I might add). Maybe after binge watching Mr. Roger’s neighborhood episodes you can come back and post something more intelligent and germane. Oh, I know. It’ll be “Faux News!” How original.

Sorry I do not have the ability to opine like yourself. Your wit and intellectualism is on par with thinkers like Aristotle and Foucault. See your intelligent and germane response below.

No, it’s not noteworthy.  Corruption happens within the Freedom Caucus as well.

Two months ago Amash officially opined that the Mueller report contained no evidence of collusion, conspiracy, or obstruction and that there were no grounds to impeach.

Then, a few days ago, after his own China ties were exposed and the Administration’s policy towards China began to tighten the screws on him, he reversed course and made the argument that:  Trump may have committed crimes that no one is aware of (including himself), and that a crime doesn’t need to have been committed to impeach the President anyway.

It’s literally an argument that Chinese businesses interests (IE the Chinese government) should have a say in our impeachment process.

Amash is going to burn along with DiFi.

If what you claim is true, it is even more noteworthy.

Will you be swooping in on Drogon to burn both Amash and DiFI? Harsh, no?

You are right, but it does require Congress to act and THEN if impeachment is passed, the Senate holds a trial. No way in hell that they convict him on grounds that he made you feel bad or he has two scoops of ice cream.

Yes - which is why it's noteworthy a member of the freedom caucus has come out in favor of impeachment.

The chances of him being convicted on grounds I feel bad or because he had two scoops of ice cream are also zero.
