    Calling my shot here...

I expect the Bills to be in the playoff hunt throughout the entire season and it will all come down to Week 17.

I think the Patriots, Chargers, Colts, and Browns win their divisions this year.

That leaves the Bills, Jets, Chiefs, Broncos, Texans, and Steelers who will likely be in the Wild Card hunt at the end of the season.  I'm not going to predict who wins the Wild Card from the Chiefs, Broncos, Texans, and Steelers group, but I do think that the winner of our regular season finale grabs the last Wild Card spot.

I think home field advantage pushes our young team over the top.  New Era Field will be rocking on December 29th.

New England is still going to be a good team, but I think they are going to REALLY miss gronk.

For Buffalo to make the playoffs, we will probably need 10 wins.

I think New England will take a step back and will be in the 9-10 win area w/o gronk.  So we should be close to winning the division or win in the last week.

________ combines elite size, speed and explosiveness into a productive, versatile ________ package that will have evaluators salivating. ________ has posted high-impact production over the last two seasons and he still has room to get bigger and better. He will make mental mistakes and his instincts are subpar, but he has an ability to mitigate those issues with his athletic ability. ________ can play in any alignment at any ________ spot and has All-Pro potential no matter where he lands.

"Good luck with your player comp on this one. They don't come like him. I don't think there has ever been a ________ that has had his size and speed. You're better off comping him with a basketball player." -- NFC regional scout

    Josh Allen?

  3. I have a pretty good feeling about the Bills going into this season.  Not sure if they will make the playoffs or not, but I think this season will be the tale of 2 different seasons.

With all of the new pieces brought into the Bills, I think it will take some time before the Bills really become a fully cohesive team.  Which brings the 2 seasons, before and after cohesiveness.

The second half of the season, especially on offense, once the WR's get on the same page with Allen (and vice versa) plus OLine shuffling finished, I think the Bills will be a tough team to beat.

How far this team goes will depend on how we perform in the first half of the season while everyone is still bonding together.

The first 3 games will really depend on if we make the playoffs or not.  If we go 3-0 vs the Jets, Giants, Bengals (which we can do), then I think we get to 9-10 wins and probably get into the playoffs.  If we falter in those games, we're looking around 6-8 wins this year...

But like others have said in multiple threads, I don't really care too much about the record of the team this year.  They main thing I want to see is Allen maturing in this offense and showing glimpses of becoming a top line starter.

When we drafted Cody Ford I was elated. This team needed more blocking despite the UFA signings. Being a skeptic, I still had some fears because of the possible "Mike Williams Syndrome." I was afraid that he might be a big monster in a defensively weak conference. So, I watched my recording of the Orange Bowl (Oklahoma vs, Alabama) and focused on Ford for the entire game.

Let me tell you, those fears have been extinguished.

Ford played primarily against Anfernee Jennings, a pass rushing "tweener."  If he stays healthy he will be a first round pick in  2020. He also lined up a lot against 6'7"/317 Raekwon Davis, another star player. Jennings did have 1 sack. Ford had him blocked and when Murray took off and ran, Jennings took him down from behind with 1 hand. This was NOT on Ford, who had Jennings under control for most of the game. Jennings also blocked a pass, but this will happen to Murray because of his height. Again, no big deal.

He went up against 2 subs, Labryan Ray and Johnny Dwight, both very good players. He completely neutralized Ray, and pancaked Dwight (listed at 301 pounds)!!!  He did give up a sack to Davis late in the game but he was doing a great job containing him on almost every play. Ford is a badass, who plays to the whistle.

Please keep in mind that Bama was up 28-7 at the half. They knew damn well that Murray was going to throw which gave them an obvious edge. They didn't blitz that often because of how well Murray runs but still, Ford not only held up, he was (imo) just short of dominant playing at a disadvantage (the score), and against great competition.

In summary, I am happier about this OL draft pick than I have been about any since they took Reuben Brown! This guy is as strong as an ox and fearless. He would have been totally worth a 1st round pick from what I saw. He is going to protect our QB and open holes for our RBs.  I'm loving it!!!!!

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Mike Williams Syndrome." pertains only to TEXAS! :)

Their lineman are always soft.  Ask the cowboys about their Connors that they took last year... :)

I'm thinking we will stay put and draft the best player that falls. If we liked anyone enough to trade up we would have already done it with the Rams. Wouldn't surprise me if there are 10 or more players the Bills would be happy to draft at 40.

If that's true, trade back? and pick up an additional 3rd? 4th?

  6. I don't see us moving up from 40.  There are still a lot of quality players to choose from.  I think Beane will stay where they are and pick BPA again.

Now, after that, he might try and start try to get back up in the 2nd round for an additional pick with all the picks we have at the back end.

    WR/CB/Risner at 40?

    LOL!

You wouldn't take Ed Oliver, Jaylon Ferguson and Terry McLaurin with our first three picks?

Essentially trading our 2nd for their third and a Top 5 prospect in the class. I'd absolutely do that especially if we end up with Oliver, Ferguson and McLaurin by the end of Day 2.

I'd rather not trade up and get TJ Hockenson/Wilkens, Greedy/Risner, McLaurin

If top 2 picks go as expected - Murray and Bosa - have now had 2 GMs tell me they believe the Bills could move to 3 to land Quinnen Williams. NYJ have not been shy about their zeal to trade down

-per Jason la confora on Twitter

Please no...  Would have to give up next year's 1.  price too steep.
