Don't look now but we are dang close to this.  Without getting this virus under control few of us can hope for a return to normal.  Sure you haven't had a loved one pass from this but many others have....try like almost 180 thousand others have.  Don't trivialize death because it hasn't affected you.  Not saying the shutdown is the answer but opening up  like no tomorrow definitely is NOT the answer.....I'm in FL seeing firsthand how poor planning had lead to a crapstorm.....it will take even longer for things to get to normal and most likely never will due to the idiots who don't take it seriously.

FL handled it fine, unlike NY.

So to you being a man means you aren't allowed to react.  Yes he is getting a ton of love, probably 10-1 the amount of hate.  Think about how much hate he is still getting.  You're delusional if you can say that it wouldn't bother you...you're just fooling yourself if you think that.  There's a difference between playing a victim and having an angry reaction.  "Being a man" also allows you to react every once in a while

Being a man means being in control of your emotions.  It's what prevents us from making irrational decisions.

Is he playing a victim though?  I'm sure most people are saying they support him, but I'm sure there are a ton of idiots out there attacking him because he is thinking about playing football.  Even if it's "just" 500 or 1,000 people who are saying negative things towards him, that's still A LOT of people being jackasses!  I'd be willing to be that number is a lot higher than 1,000 people too...I'd be pretty upset if I had hundreds or thousands of strangers saying some probably pretty awful things to me just because I was thinking about not playing a game

Of course he is.  Read his twitter.  Poor me, most people support me but i'll single out a few bad ones and play victim.  It's the life of a public figure.  You're gonna get a lot of support and a few haters.  Be a man and deal with it.

Are that many people attacking him?  Most Twitter takes I see, along with posters here have been pretty respectful.  Even those who aren’t thrilled about his potential decision are being pretty tame, IMO.

Head on over to the CJ Mosley takes from Jets fans if you want to see anger.

It's in vogue to be a victim these days.

But it’s not just cops.  You can get shot while jogging.  You can get framed while bird watching.  There is racism everywhere, even if it wasn’t your reality it’s the reality for many.  Again, now is the time to LISTEN, something folks hate doing these days.

You realize blacks kill twice the amount of whites every year then vice versa right?

But what if the opposing CB has a black dad and white mom? What do we label them at that point? As long as we label people by color there will always be an issue of race.

We just go back to outlawing interracial couples.  It's easy!  But seriously, I agree with you.  All progress on not seeing color has been lost. I thought that was the whole goal? What the hell is going on?

You don’t blame him for acting like an absolute baby and holding a presser to give his “thoughts.”

Remember when Peyton Manning’s replacement was drafted and Peyton threw a hissy fit and said he felt disrespected? Me neither.

Peyton wasn't even on the team when they drafted Luck and had missed the entire season.

If you think it's OK for the NBA and NFL to put age limits on when people can play, then we're just gonna disagree on that.  Whatever else Clarett might have done, he should have had a shot at the NFL.  Let him succeed or fail if a team wants to give him a chance.

Didn't he have a chance in the NFL and blow it?
