  1. Great post as usual Shaw. Pretty much nailed it spot on.

JA surely wasn’t the guy we saw last season. Don’t know what the real reason(s) was, but just hope it was more of a mirage than a glimpse into the future. Personally, I’m confident he and the offense will bounce back it a big way next week against the Fish. Hope this smack in the mouth will remind some of these guys they need to do more than just show up if they expect to gain a W.

  2. I was in the 13-14 wins, afc championship game and yes to SB Champ caliber group. This team definitely has the potential to win it all, but as others have noted it usually takes a little luck too. Staying away from major injuries and fluky losses (Hail Mary, etc) are key to getting home playoff games and hopefully home field advantage throughout.

For this season my biggest fear is losing key players to the virus if our team vaccination numbers don’t improve. If we lose a few key players here or there for a game or two that could really derail a deep playoff run or making the playoffs entirely. I hope my fears aren’t realized, but this Delta variant has to be taken seriously. I hope what we are seeing now where most all   Infections are to unvaccinated individuals will spur more of the players to get their shots.

  3. All this Lamar talk is starting to get a bit annoying. That and how the Ravens are just the hottest team having now won six in a row. Thing is you need to go back and look at the five teams they played during that five game win streak to finish the season. Half the NFC Least, Cinn, Jax and Clev. Cleveland was the only team with a winning record and the Ravens won in a shootout with both teams scoring 40+. IMO not exactly a bell ringer feat. The Bills winning streak was longer and against stronger opposition.

The Baltimore win at Tenn was a good win, they only managed 20 points against a porous defense. Lamar had one hilite reel play on the 48 yard TD, but other than that was hardly the game changer everyone wants to brag him up to be.

If they think they can come to Buffalo and win putting up 20 points I think they will have a rude awakening. Their defense is decent, but they haven’t played an offense as good as the Bills maybe all year.

Should be a good game, but if one team is going to dominate my money is on Buffalo.

    Go Bills!

  4. IMO the Bills play their starters and play to win. That guaranteed second home playoff game is too important to leave in the hands of another team (Browns) to secure it for them. The players want to play this game for the organization and the fans. I can’t believe they would be in favor of risking a loss and potentially pimping the fans on a second home playoff game.

No doubt if the Bills are solidly ahead in the second half they will start pulling key players from the game, but not until then.

  5. We were at my wife’s parent’s house for Christmas. Her family knew I was a diehard Bills fan and never gave me too much grief about it even though none of them had any allegiance to the team. That year her parents and grandparents got together and bought me an authentic Jim Kelly jersey! I couldn’t believe it and was so excited. Immediately put it on that morning and never took it off all day.
