  1. To me Reid is as much to blame as anyone. He got greedy at the end of the half. You take the FG with that little time left and no timeouts. You head to the locker room up 24-3 and get the ball to start the second half. Everything staying the same  in the second half that FG they kicked at the end of regulation would have been for the win not for overtime.

  2. Absolutely don’t believe any of this disfunction garbage. Like was said above the kickoff was not the major problem. If you are leading with 13 seconds left and the opponent on their 25 yard line and you can’t hold that lead you don’t really deserve to win the game.

Sems to me the defensive strategy was more the problem than execution. Plus one needs to consider the QB and skilled players on the other side who were executing at an unbelievably high level.

I just kind of have this feeling that Josh is going to be a ***** monster next year.

Absolutely! I have a feeling Josh is going to come back next season with the attitude we WILL win every game. No more going on the road in the playoffs!

Scenario: Kicking off up 3 with 13 seconds left.

100% Fail Proof strategy for dummies:

    1.  Kick the ball out the back of the end zone.

    2.  1st down at 25 w/ 13 seconds:  Hold all eligible receivers at line of scrimmage (and don't let go) Yes, intentionally hold them before the pass.

    Penalty-holding defense- 5 yard penalty-

    3.  1st down at 30 with 8 seconds:. Hold all eligible receivers at line of scrimmage (and don't let go) Yes, intentionally hold them before the pass.

    Penalty-holding defense-5 yard penalty

    4.  1st down at the 35 with 4 seconds: Knock down the Hail Mary.

    5.  Host AFC Championship vs. Bengals

    6.  Win 1st Superbowl vs Rams

    7.  No longer losers.

I honestly said basically the same thing to my wife before the Chiefs lined up at the 25. Just take defensive holding penalties until the clock runs out! Tackle the guys at the LOS if need be. Although I would have squib kicked that kickoff.

Coaching staff played scared. The offensive coaching stopped being scared in the fourth quarter.

Definitely agree with you on the defensive side. Offensive side, not so much, but the first series in the 3rd after the Chiefs eight minute TD drive was a head scratcher. Two consecutive running plays after a decent first down screen to the FB for a three and out really hurt and put a tired defense right back on the field where the played pretty much the entire quarter.

  6. I have to assume the Bills defensive brain trust must figure Mahomes will just find someone else to throw the ball to, but for the life of me I just don’t see why at least in some of the most critical situations (like that final 13 seconds) that they continually allow these two critical receiver weapons to just release freely from the line of scrimmage into the secondary with no one really near them most of the time? Why not jam these guys at the line to at least attempt to disrupt the timing of the play if nothing else? These two guys are continually killing the Bills and it’s almost like we are inviting it.

  7. Seems like a Raider’s thing to interview an ILB coach for a HC opening regardless of what team he is coming from. It’s a big enough leap going from a coordinator position to HC and damn few make a successful transition.
Just like the Mayock hire. No front office experience. No wonder they find themselves in the position they are in.

I’ve seen more than a few bitter Pats fans complain about us running up the score last night. Delicious irony.

Hey, that’s just too bad for them. BB did it all the time with Brady. His reply when questioned about it was always, “ it’s not my job to stop us, that’s on the other team “.

Hope every time we play them we keep our foot on the gas until the final whistle. Leave old BB squealing from the feeling!

Good stuff, but I am not sure the path to the SB goes through Kansas City and Tennessee. I think the Bengals are going to be heading to Orchard Park for the AFC Title game.

Love to see that happen, but can’t help seeing the Titans dominating that game with rushing attack. If Joe Burrow is healthy  I have no doubt they will be able to score points with their elite passing game, but will they get enough possessions?
